Simpsons Episode Draft

Pardy my tardy, with my fourth pick, I select:

Mountain of Madness/Season 8, Episode 12

I love the fire drill, (is that the right episode!), Homer's parking job and of course Homer and Burns bring it.

And that means it is my turn.

I guess with the number of trips that the various main family members have taken over the years, it is hard not to end up with one in which one of them visits an exotic foreign country so I might as well go with my favourite. As a bonus, it also includes my favourite celebrity guest spot.

Season 5, Episode 13 - Homer & Apu

Apu: He is the benevolent and enlightened president and CEO of Kwik-E-Mart, and in Ohio, Stop-O-Mart. He is the one we must ask for my job back.

Master: Approach, my sons. You may ask me three questions.

Apu: That's great, because all I need is one...

Homer: Are you really the head of the Kwik-E-Mart?

Master: Yes.

Homer: Really?

Master: Yes.

Homer: You?

Master: Yes. I hope this has been enlightening for you.

Apu: But I must...

Master: Thank you, come again.

Apu: But...

Master: Thank you, come again.

Homer: Well, that was a big bust. Is he really the head of the Kwik-E-Mart?

Season 5, Episode 9, The Last Temptation of Homer

Homer: Moe, I need advice. You see I have this friend called Joey Jojo...Junior...Shabadoo.

Moe: That's the worst name I ever heard.

[A man in the bar leaves crying. Barney runs after him.]

Barney: Hey, Joey Jojo!

Hope I don't jinx myself by saying that I'm glad to see that my two backup choices for my last pick are still on the board. Nobody better take 'em!

We'll see. I definitely have one in mind now that my original pick got stolen.

There is a lot of love for Seasons 4 through 7, to not much surprise, I'm sure.

Season 3, Episode 11 - Burns Verkaufen der Kraftwerk

Attention workers, we have completed our evaluation of the plant. We regret to announce the following layoffs, which I will read in alphabetical order:

Simpson, Homer.

That is all.

Edit: I'm nearly done the work marathon I eluded to, so I can get a list of potential picks together and whatnot, but I'll sneak a pick in now: The Joy of Sect, Season Nine.

I also second the PM idea, even though I'm guilty of not doing so with Kahran this round.

I wasn't planning on going with this episode because I had assumed it had gotten picked. An absolute steal in Round Five IMHO.

I'm going to go with another great episode from what is perhaps the best season of the show, Season Five. This may be the greatest Mr. Burns centered episode ever. I also find the ending to it oddly touching.

Season Five, Episode Four

Burns: I'm sure we can come to an understanding.

Homer: Yes, sir.

[thinking] Reject the first offer. Reject the first offer.

Burns: May I offer you a drink?

Homer: Sorry, Burns, no deal.

(A few minutes later, Homer is back at house, cracking.)

Homer: (Grabbing the phone) I gotta call Burns! I gotta call Burns! Maybe I can still get that drink.

Season 5, Episode 10, $pringfield (Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Legalized Gambling

Homer: No, lisa, you're not a monster. The only monster here is the gambling monster that has enslaved your mother, and I call him Gamblor! We must save your mother from his neon claws!

Robert Goulet: Are you sure this is the Casino? Mr. Burns' Casino? I think I should call my manager...

Nelson: Your manager says for you to shut up!

Robert Goulet: Vera said that?

Season 5, Episode 17: Bart Gets an Elephant

Boss: This is the DJ 3000. It plays CDs automatically, and it has

three distinct varieties of inane chatter.

[presses a button]

DJ 3000: [stilted] Hey, hey. How about that weather out there?

Woah! _That_ was the caller from hell.

Well, hot dog! We have a weiner.

Bill: Man, that thing's great!

Marty: _Don't_ praise the machine!

Boss: If you don't get that kid an elephant by tomorrow, the DJ 3000

gets your job.

[Marty punches it]

DJ 3000: Those clowns in congress did it again. What a bunch of clowns.

Bill: [laughs] How does it keep up with the news like that?

Season 6, Episode 20: Two Dozen and One Greyhounds

Some men hunt for sport,

Others hunt for food,

The only thing I'm hunting for,

Is an outfit that looks good...

See my vest, see my vest,

Made from real gorilla chest,

Feel this sweater, there's no better,

Than authentic Irish setter.

See this hat, 'twas my cat,

My evening wear - vampire bat,

These white slippers are albino

African endangered rhino.

Grizzly bear underwear,

Turtles' necks, I've got my share,

Beret of poodle, on my noodle

It shall rest,

Try my red robin suit,

It comes one breast or two,

See my vest, see my vest,

See my vest.

Like my loafers? Former gophers -

It was that or skin my chauffeurs,

But a greyhound fur tuxedo

Would be best,

So let's prepare these dogs,

Mrs. Potts: Kill two for matching clogs,

Burns: See my vest, see my vest,

Oh please, won't you see my vest.
