That's a pretty weak opening for a Jim Carrey comedy, eh? I figured it would be #1, but it's his first real comedy in a while. I thought it would do much better

Seven Pounds looks good, but it's hard to tell from the ads what it's entirely about, not surprised it didn't make #1

The Tale of Despereaux...never heard of it

According to boxofficemojo, THE WRESTLER had a pretty good opening for only 4 theaters.

- N The Wrestler FoxS $209,000 - 4 - $52,250 $295,000 - 1

Every show was sold out at the theater that I saw it at last night.

Am I the only person who has seen TV spots for Yes Man since August (and hasn't laughed once)?

Nope, I'm with you on that one.

I think I've just outgrown Jim Carrey movies

Guest Smues

Yes Man was ALL OVER commercials during the MLB playoffs, but since then I haven't seen any ads. And I barely saw any ads for 7 pounds, nor do I have a clue what the movie is about from the ads. The Tale of Despereaux I've seen quite a bit of ads for, I figured it'd win the weekend thanks to the family audience. Go snow go!
