Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2008 That's a pretty weak opening for a Jim Carrey comedy, eh? I figured it would be #1, but it's his first real comedy in a while. I thought it would do much better Seven Pounds looks good, but it's hard to tell from the ads what it's entirely about, not surprised it didn't make #1 The Tale of Despereaux...never heard of it
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2008 I blame the weather, a lot of the country was blanketed with snow, and well, no one's going to drive to the movies in that weather

Guest Smues Report post Posted December 21, 2008 Yes Man was ALL OVER commercials during the MLB playoffs, but since then I haven't seen any ads. And I barely saw any ads for 7 pounds, nor do I have a clue what the movie is about from the ads. The Tale of Despereaux I've seen quite a bit of ads for, I figured it'd win the weekend thanks to the family audience. Go snow go!
