Youth N Asia Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 The Unborn was actually sold out at my theater when a friend and I decided to see a midnight movie. Ended up on Bedtime Stoies...many empty seats
AntiLeaf33 Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Friend of mine saw the Unborn over the weekend and said that it was a lot better then he was expecting. May have to check it out.
Youth N Asia Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 The Unborn has Harry and Vince from Dexter, Stringer Bell and Billy Walsh...this movie must rock
Cartman Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Unborn wasn't terrible but wasn't really good either. Didn't realize it was only PG-13 until the girlfriend and I got there...which led to the theater being packed with obnoxious teenagers who spend most of the movie making retarded noises and mockingly screaming anytime something "scary" was happening. Embarrasing.
RedJed Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 I'm really torn on the Unborn....it looks good from the previews, but that PG-13 tag just makes me uninterested. And nine out of ten times, these PG-13 horror flicks end up being a huge letdown.
Gary Floyd Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 "The Unborn" is bad, but it's at least amusingly bad. It had an interesting premise, and a few moments are creepy, but the whole thing just ends up feeling more goofy than scary. If anything, watch it someday in case nothing else is on TV.
Youth N Asia Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 PG-13 horror movies are usually garbrage
Epic Reine Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 R rated horror movies are usually garbage.
AntiLeaf33 Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 R rated horror movies are usually garbage. Yes, but they are usually filled with over the top gore and pointless nudity, so in my books Rated R horror > PG-13 Horror
DarKnight Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 Yes, but they are usually filled with over the top gore and pointless nudity, so in my books Rated R horror > PG-13 Horror Amen to that. As much as R rated horror movies get shit on by critics who claim that its a bunch of gore and nothing else, well, what else would they expect? PG-13 horror on the other hand is very lame, and nothing really happens, like no one gets killed in horrific ways, and sometimes it turns out the monster may not be real, or something stupid.
