foleyfanforever88 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 Well, I guess now is as good a time as ever to grab this guy. I think he has a ton of potential and I look forward to seeing where he is in a few years. There is really only one word to describe him: BALLIN! MVP
naiwf 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 The last 5 or so picks absolutely raped my draft board, but there's at least one team I want that I should be able to get here. I'm going to go with the hype man first since I could easily pick up some other partners if any of you decide to screw me before I go again. My next pick is 'The Road Dogg' Jesse James. PILLS! PILLS! PILLS! 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 The reason that this draft is better than the original is because talents like Lance Storm, Alex Shelley and Shelton Benjamin are not being pigeonholed as tag team performers. Three cheers for learning from your mistakes!
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 Since my fed is, obviously, as mainstream as it gets, workrate is not high on my priority list. While Hall and Nash are both flexible, they both work better as heel, and Rude is obviously heel, so I need a monster #2 face. This guy, at his peak, had popularity rivalled only by the likes of Hogan and Austin. He works well with Rude for whatever reason and is probably one of the biggest faces left on the board. Ultimate Warrior

TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 Argh, I missed that. Well then for my upper-mid card face I'm taking another guy who had a short but popular peak. A lot can be done with this guy and he'll fill the spot of the "submission specialist/shoot fighter" on my roster. Ken Shamrock
Maztinho 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 Masahiro Chono Chono is another guy who I can't let slide at this point, and it's highly probable his partner will still be around by the time I pick again. If not he's a capable main event level guy, and while he won't be able to cut a promo for me, his face kicking goodness and decent enough work rate will more than overcome the language barrier. King Kamala 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 I was looking forward to the first duplicate pick. Of course, nothing can top the greatness of Drury thinking he had Tazz in like the 25th round... for a good two minutes, I honestly thought he'd had the steal of the draft! Jebus 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 My next draft pick: The face of my Women's division...the hometown girl....and since Trish was taken ; ) Gail Kim

Maztinho 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 does drury still post? or did yall all gang together and brutally murder him? Honestly I'd never heard of him before he stole a spot in the draft, and I haven't seen him since. Actually it got to the point where it was fun to see who he'd pick up because you knew it was going to be someone off the wall.

Honestly I'd never heard of him before he stole a spot in the draft, and I haven't seen him since. He showed up during a recent Raw Chat and he was questioned about his draft choices but he never answered and promptly left.
6foot9 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 and now to watch as my list gets decimated. so in the 36 picks since my last pick 19 guys have came off my list, and yet #1 is still there. With the 119th pick in the draft I select... "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels The final cog in my epic fatal four way match for my junior heavyweight title. Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 My next pair of selections will address the beginning of the junior/purist division. Luckily, there is such an immense depth to the talent available. It was my intention to get as good as wrestlers I can possibly get that can easily play both sides. Each will have a complete difference in styles but I believe they can be the forerunners of the division because of their tremendous versatility. First will be a great heel that utilizes his tremendous promo ability to capture great heat and he goes beyond the typical measure of a good junior performer as he’s equally if not better suited as a brawler. With the final selection of this round, I have taken Jimmy Jacobs And to follow that up, I’ll take someone who is almost polar opposites as Jacobs. He’s a brilliant technician that can connect to the crowd in whatever manner he sees fit. It might seem odd that these two men will be first two selections of this division given that they are primarily known and appreciated for being great heels but ultimately, I supposed I’m just big fans of these two and didn’t want to miss out on them. This is my next selection, this is… Nigel McGuinness
6foot9 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 I almost want to be "that guy". the guy that picks the other half of a tag team. There is one guy out there who completes a tag team, and I was l.l that close to taking him, but I'll resist. So with this pick I wanted someone who could go with my bigger guys. I think this guy could have great matches with every one on my roster so far, but I'm really looking forward to pitting him up against Foley and/or Bigelow. Plus this guy basically made Mike Awesome so if I can't have him... With the 122nd pick of the draft I proudly select... Masato Tanaka
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 Some people are being kind of reckless with picking one half of a tag team and then waiting a few rounds before picking the other guy (I'm assuming they'll eventually pick the other guy)...almost makes me want to teach 'em a lesson but I won't since I don't want to raise my chances in this year's Worst Poster tournament. Jebus 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 Don't hate me King Kamala but... My next pick is the man who shall be Rey Mysterio Jr.'s main nemesis for the Cruiserweight crown: Low Ki
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 I would be mad...but that's a damn good pick there!
sivy 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 to me if i don't get certain people's parther's then thats fine since i have a role for them anyway. i just don't want to be left picking jobbers without a good overall card beforehand.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 Some people are being kind of reckless with picking one half of a tag team and then waiting a few rounds before picking the other guy (I'm assuming they'll eventually pick the other guy)...almost makes me want to teach 'em a lesson but I won't since I don't want to raise my chances in this year's Worst Poster tournament. I don't see it. I mean, if I pick the second half of a tag team then I'm in the same spot as the person I'm screwing over. And that's not worth a six or seventh round pick at all. King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 It's a calculated risk. If you take the right part of the team, then you just have to time it right. While there's still strong options on the board people would be less likely to take the weak link of a popular tag team. But if people get cheeky and try and drag their follow-up picks out until round 36, they're probably going to get burned. I'd say there's been one very risky tag pick so far and the rest make sense. Unless you include me going for The Brainbusters and hoping Tully would make it 28 picks. What's interesting so far is that I'm seeing a lot of my midcard options going, rather than big names neccessarily. It helps that I really didn't plan a big cruiserweight division. Maztinho 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 Hiroyoshi Tenzan Rather than go for the calculated risk, I'm gonna grab Chono's partner here. They work well as a team, and more likely than not I'll use them as a brash foreigner heel team, although they could play bad ass faces as well. The guy is a three time G1 Climax champion, multiple time tag team champion, and one of the more innovative wrestlers in the sport being the brain child for moves such as the Buffalo Sleeper and the Anaconda Vice and super-tasty Anaconda Cross. At this point I have 7 guys who have been world champions in their respective promotions. Not too shabby I think.

TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 My first double dip draft pick from last time. I need a face cruiserweight to anchor the division and, it's LA, so he needs to be Mexican. Rey's gone so I'm taking the next best thing: Juventud Guerrera
naiwf 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 This one's easy enough. My next pick completes The New Age Outlaws. I'll take 'Badd Ass' Billy Gunn and worry about finding them some opponents later on.
foleyfanforever88 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 I have two guys that I want to grab now. One of them is the bigger name; the other is the one I like more. I know I'm taking a risk here, but I'm going to choose the guy that I'd be more upset to lose. He may be injury prone, but when he is around, I find him very entertaining. He will most likely feud with MVP. He hails from Green Bay, Wisconsin.. Mr. Kennedy ...Kennedy!
PILLS! PILLS! PILLS! 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2009 Just a heads up. I'm going to be headed back home for the weekend, so, while I will likely pop in at some point or another, I might not be around to post your selections. My minions (Zoo, Kamala and Franchise) are all good guys and will probably help you out if you ask nicely. -M@
