Dr. Death Randy Savage Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 This one is so dumb, I probably don't even need to point it out to you!
SamoaRowe Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Well, first in WWE to have a nameplate. That seems to be their point. I don't really care if that's true or not, such a minor detail.
haws bah gawd Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Wow.....the IC and Tag Titles had featured nameplates for quite some time. Also, the Undisputed Title, which was introduced in April of 2002 (about 4-5 months prior to the World Title) featured a nameplate. I believe the current issue of the "adult's" WWE Magazine mentions something about Triple H beating Randy Orton for the WWE title at last year's No Way Out.
Enigma Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Har har. The IC Title has had a nameplate since 1998.
JST Posted April 5, 2009 Report Posted April 5, 2009 No it hasn't. The nameplate craze started during the Invasion when the WCW title belt came into play.
Slickster Posted April 5, 2009 Report Posted April 5, 2009 Well, if you want to get anal about it the World Title (November 19, 2001-December 9, 2001) was indeed the first WWE-sanctioned title to have a nameplate.
