TheFranchise Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Coming off a huge Backlash with no less than three Championship changes.. What's going to happen tonight? I assume we're booking Orton vs Batista for Judgment Day so look for more of a one on one rivalry to start tonight. Also: Why did The Big Show do what he did? Why does anybody do what they do these days? Tonight is the night the Draft changes officially take place!
King Cucaracha Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Yep, remember, the draft takes effect tonight. So absolutely no Smackdown wrestlers will appear on Raw at all. I promise. Not even Todd Grisham, Smackdown commentator. This draft is serious business and will be respected at all costs. You just watch.
TheFranchise Posted April 27, 2009 Author Report Posted April 27, 2009 Raw gets kicked off with new World Heavyweight Champion Edge, betcha.
Masked Heel Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 nah no way Randy Orton doesn't start off the show, probably to a big face pop
TheFranchise Posted April 27, 2009 Author Report Posted April 27, 2009 Eh, I was just joshing about the idea of no SmackDown! guys appearing tonight. Hell, Big Show might start the show tonight. Orton might come out for the top of the second hour.
Thanks for the Fish Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 With Big Show a heel and Orton a heel, something will have to give there. Could Orton's claims of needing "muscle" for Legacy mean Big Show could be brought in, though obviously not a Legacy. How could you keep Big Show's annual "Monster" push if you keep him out of the title scene?
TheFranchise Posted April 27, 2009 Author Report Posted April 27, 2009 Hey, he's Andre's son, you know! Big Show and Cena's fued won't need a title so they're out of the picture. As for the whole 'splitting the rosters properly' - Raw's US Champion is defending the title on SmackDown! this week. Hopefully this will be the end of it.
Masked Heel Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Ya I still think Orton will be starting off gloating about taking HHH out finally and then Big Dave will probably come out and challenge him. Big Show will probably come out second hour or somewhere in between, especially if Cena is going to film another movie. If they can stretch it out to go til SummerSlam or something like that then the feud can be worth Big Shows annual monster push, tho I think he should be booked as the top monster above Umanga and Mark Henry and Koslov ect. With this puncher thing he's doing now he has the legit feel to him a series of matches with him and Cena could be big time if done right.
cabbageboy Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 I would think that since Show is still in with Vickie he agreed to take out Cena and help out Edge. It doesn't make 100% sense, but it isn't baffling either. Is Batista going to be a placeholder challenger until HHH gets back, or is he going to get the belt from Orton at some point and then they can go with Cena/Batista II? HHH vs. Orton can be a HIAC or whatever on a future PPV and doesn't have to have a title involved.
Live Free or Battlenuts Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Tonight should be interesting. It's more of an official reset than the post Mania Raw these days, and it's always fun to see what new shit they plan on doing, regardless of how bad most of it will end up being.
TheFranchise Posted April 27, 2009 Author Report Posted April 27, 2009 What do you guys reckon they'll do with The Miz?
MattyJ4life Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Am I the only one that thinks that Matt Hardy would be a good fit in Legacy?
TheFranchise Posted April 27, 2009 Author Report Posted April 27, 2009 I don't know, i'm kinda used to Legacy being a tight-knit group now. There's Orton and his two lackeys. They all look and act alike. They just click well. Throw Matt Hardy in there and he just wouldn't look right. I'm happy with Legacy staying as a three man unit.
Matt Young Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Matt Hardy's not second or third generation.
Scroby Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Am I the only one that thinks that Matt Hardy would be a good fit in Legacy? Yes. Legacy = 2nd/3rd generation wrestlers like Orton.
Live Free or Battlenuts Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 I wonder if they practice that slow, synchronized walk together before the show. Something hilarious to me about imagining them slowly walking on treadmills in front a mirror to get it right.
Diamonddust Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 You know... I am rather glad they allow Orton to be a true heel and not a tweener that plays up to the crowd when he does get a face reaction.
Diamonddust Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Raw just got ballin'... Good to see MVP playing with the big guns.
Live Free or Battlenuts Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Well that was unexpected. I'd of guessed Punk. Ooooh feud with Dibiase.
Live Free or Battlenuts Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Good promo by MVP. Smart, to the point, gettin' the crowd into it.
Diamonddust Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Here's hoping they let MVP look real good against Orton tonight.
Live Free or Battlenuts Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Orton and Legacy must destroy MVP. I like the guy but to get them over he needs to be bleeding by the end of the night.
Thanks for the Fish Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 MVP gets one of the post-WM pushes. I still like MVP better as a heel though.
Diamonddust Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Kendrick vs. Kofi should be entertaining at least.
Thanks for the Fish Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Kendrick will be future endeavored by summer. Too bad, because he and Zeke was a fun act - too bad he likes his bud.
Beto Chavez Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 I would've saved MVP Vs. RKO for a later PPV. Oh well.
Thanks for the Fish Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Damn, I hate Shane McMahon. You and me both. It's damn pathetic how they book him - Daddy wants his boy to be a tough guy, and little sister wants her big brother to be a bad ass. ┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐
YourKock'sReallyGreat Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 The Miz: " John Cena, you say you cant see me. You are right because your movies aren't in the theaters long enough". HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
