  1. Slayer, what can you tell us about Manhattan, Kansas?
  2. Hell no. In the real world, I wouldn't even bet on this match because I don't know anything about either guy.
  3. Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell © vs Randy "The Natural" Couture (decision) Longer match, same winner. I don't know if Couture will get TKO'd again but Chuck's got a lot of momentum right now. Frank Mir vs Marcio "Pe De Pano" Cruz (TKO rd 2) UFC is pinning their HW hopes on Mir returning. So am I. Renato "Babalu" Sobral vs Mike Van Arsdale (sub rd 1) MVA will blow up relatively quickly. Alessio "Legionarius" Sakara vs Elvis "King of Rock n' Rumble" Sinosic (TKO rd 1) Hard to pick against a guy nicknamed "Legionarius". OK, well, it isn't, but it's a great nickname. Brandon "The Truth" Vera vs Justin Eilers (TKO rd 2) I don't really know either of these guys, but as a rule I don't root for people nicknamed "The Truth". Paul "The Headhunter" Buentello vs Gilbert "El Peligroso" Aldana (TKO rd 1) We've got a headhunter and a dangerous one. This will not be pretty. Jeff "Snowman" Monson vs "The Iron Lion" Brandon Lee Hinkle In a battle of Fighters I Don't Know, Hinkle won the coin toss. Nick Diaz vs Joe "Diesel" Riggs (TKO rd 2) Riggs should come in to the "Grease Medley" to mess with Diaz' head. This is Nick's chance to prove that he deserves another shot at Sanchez. "Iron" Mike Whitehead vs Keith "The Dean of Mean" Jardine (Decision) These guys are LHWs now, I think, so hopefully we'll see more action than their individual snoozefests during TUF 2.
  4. Sticky Fingers should probably be a good matchup for Rashad. It'll be interesting to see who they feed to Stevenson.
  5. Yep, we're back to 11 teams of two. Michelle (36, Homemaker) and Lake (37, Dentist) Garner (Hattiesburg, MS) Relationship: Married Parents Final Three potential Names: Joni Glaze (44, Children's Minister, Katy, TX) and Lisa Hinds (48, Realtor/Artist, Santa Rosa Beach, FL) Relationship: Sisters First out, I hope. 6. I DL'ed "Flash and Substance" , so I guess it was released somewhere. Features Flash's Rogue's Gallery, as you might suspect, and has a nice touch casting Mark Hamill as the Trickster...
  7. BTW, the gay jock was the QB from 'Playmakers'...
  8. OK, I have to ask - who wouldn't mind a Lost-style flashback about Catalina's month at the Chubby Club?
  9. Just remember that they're also punching numbers into a computer because they were told that they have to. I don't think it's just Charlie that's an idiot.
  10. Some of the shows you've mentioned do try to keep a continuity going though - while most of the focus is on the case, they do try and keep developing the characters throughout. I know that for Numb3rs, they try to maintain some ongoing subplots that keep the characters moving forward. Overall, I think that crime dramas just come down to personal preference. A show like CSI is tailor made for syndication - you can show episodes out of order and it won't affect your viewing pleasure much, while a show like Veronica Mars (which I haven't seen since CTV airs it in the summer up here) probably requires you to watch maybe every other episode to catch up.
  11. True, but the question is still - why? I have to think that Locke has an agenda that partially involves Claire and Aaron, and he can't do anything about it with Charlie around. Playing "hit the Hobbit" with Charlie's face almost seemed like he was protecting his property - there was really no need for it, so what game is John playing here?
  12. They should've given us Sanchez-Burkman.
  13. Plus it was going up against Numb3rs, which is probably pulling in the best Friday ratings for a drama since X-Files.
  14. It's a great issue for their core supporters, i.e. affluent people. They're the ones who spend more in disposable income, so they're the ones who would benefit the most. Whereas poorer Canadians spend less and would thus save less, plus they get a GST rebate when the file their income tax return anyway. Being rich myself, I have no problem with tax cuts for the rich. I don't think that they get a full rebate though. Considering that he was a Minister for much of Chretien's run, I wouldn't call him completely innocent though. So, what are the odds that Belinda will jump back to the Conservatives or to the NDP (and get Layton to ditch Chow in the process)?
  15. That's standard for any sitcom that casts pretty people as people that can't get dates though.
  16. Yeah, more Mikey or Samwise than Rudy.
  17. In order, A). Bettis playing final game in home-town C). Cower's "SBXXX" redemption D). Holmgreen winning it without Favre E). How many different ways to spell Big Ben's last name wrong F). How cold Detroit is B). Hasselbeck's hot sister-in-law (It's not on ABC, right?) Features I think they should do (but they probably won't): - Windsor, ON and how big a hole it is once you go more than 2 blocks north of the riverfront. (Trust me, I've lived both 2 blocks and 5 blocks from the riverfront) - The local casinos - Detroit nightlife (which isn't particularly bad, although none of it is really in Detroit proper) - Detroit strip clubs vs Windsor strip clubs.

  19. He was also one of the Russian Terrorists that just died in 24, I think. Taktarov was pretty good in 15 Minutes, but the movie was shite.
  20. Presumably, NBC has finally concluded that "Joey" is a failed series. As such, it won't be placed on the network's most important night to lose the "My Name is Earl" audience. If the episodes need to be aired, I suppose that they can air during the summer or on a low viewership night like Saturday where they can do less harm to the rest of the lineup. The actors have presumably been paid already for the shows in the can, so NBC needs ad revenue to make up for it. Personally, I think that airing after Earl is a good spot for Joey. I think having Apprentice on at 9 was what was really hurting NBC with the ratings families. So with the return of an all-comedy block, the show should probably do better than it did before.
  21. Hell no. 24 airs at 8pm tonight in Canada, due to election coverage. So we get to watch the show twice if we want...
  22. This is the first I've seen of SNL in a while, and man did it blow. After seeing a Horatio sketch before the musical guest/WU block, I had to turn it off. Then I had to imdb Kristin Wiig to figure out where I'd seen her before. Turns out she was Dr. Pat on Joe Schmo, which makes her performances this week even more disappointing imo.
  23. It takes effort to portray bitchy trailer trash, you know. Giovanni Ribisi was great again as Ralph. Puts just the right amount of sleaze into the character.
  24. It's great how Dwight takes things to extremes. Remember, Michael just told him to see if Oscar really was home, and it turns into an all-day stakeout.
  25. Don't apologize. Anyways, I think he's going the David Caruso route. At some point he'll end up on a hit drama and we'll have no real explanation as to how or why it happened. Banging Tea Leoni. Good work if you can get it.
