  1. Lynn was ECW Champion for about a month or so in 2000. Also, while I didn't watch that often during Benoit's, Guerrero's and Malenko's runs, I'd say Jericho was handled very well for the amount of time he was there.
  2. I don't get this. Wasn't Vince on friendly terms with Heyman and ECW for the most part?
  3. *looks at symbol* ... *promptly pulls mind out of the gutter* ... *leaves*
  4. This worries me for some reason. Why? Does the name "Bret Hart" and the phrase "serious head injury" come to mind? Maybe we'll find out if Jesus believes in karma or not. Hey, karma already caught up with Shawn in 98.
  5. Alright, I like both so I'm gonna leave this one up to my good friend George Washington. Heads says Ripper, Tails for Zack... Tails. So I vote Zack.
  6. Only way I'd have Shane go over Kane at SummerSlam would be if it were used to further the Kane/RVD feud. As for the "accident" angle...so much wrong with it. For one, the fact that there were multiple, stationary cameras documenting the limo's impact completely takes away what little realism the incident had in the first place. Secondly, they never should've put something that serious so early in the show, because there's no way for the announcers to properly sell the angle without taking away from the other matches. I know they gave it a pretty hard sell last night, but JR's and Lawler's commentary still left me with a sort of "Oh well..Kane's dead, let's move on with the show" kinda vibe. I may be asking for a bit much, but the commentary took away from the realism of the whole thing, as did the reactions of the wrestlers and the General Managers. The whole thing just screams "it's all fake", and that's not good. Although, for the record, I think it would've been kinda cool if Kane pulled himself from the wreckage and beat Shane's ass.
  7. This worries me for some reason.
  8. I say D.J. just so I have the satisfaction of calling someone "Deej" for once in my life.

  10. Did they ever explain why he's leaving on TV? And no, I don't miss him at all. I really enjoyed Raw last week.
  11. I saw the fight last night. I like Toney, but Holyfield looked like he gave it up after about the 5th round or so. Judging by the look in his eyes and his comments after the fight, I don't see Holyfield fighting again. He's probably done after this.
  12. ^ almost as cool as < ....ALMOST.
  13. ^ had a Papacita-made sig about a year or so ago. < has really been slacking on the Photoshop lately though < has been slacking on a lot of things lately.
  14. Simple explanation...Brock is in the ME...and he's heel...so Vince is required to support him...as opposed to Kurt Angle or the Undertaker, both of whom are ME faces, so Vince is required to hate them. Gotta love those shades of gray.
  15. They'd be better off giving us a behind the scenes look at the writers while they're actually planning the show. That'd be interesting.
  16. Hey, as long as it leads to Chyna footage, I'm satisfied. *lights cigarette*
  17. Sean O'Haire is a damn liar. He's gotta be.
  18. I don't know if people hate that he was a heel, but more how he won. The McMahon's took the center stage, to the point where I'd say that it was Vince, not HHH, that went over that night. At least that's how I looked at it. Jericho needed to win at Wrestlemania because a loss would've made his entire title reign seem like a complete joke, and it also lessens the impact of HHH's title win. Having HHH go over an inferior opponent doesn't do him or the title any favors.
  19. Well it's just that she'd been given both the Stunner, the Rock Bottom, Kane's chokeslam...hell, even the Pedigree by that point, all with little to no consequence. Why would threatening to hit Chyna with a powerslam be such a big deal? I liked that they were trying to get him over as a monster heel at that point, but having him powerslam Chyna does nothing to put heat on him...and if I remember right, by the next week, it was pretty much forgotten.
  20. ^ likes suicide...absolutely disgusting.

    The Duel

That went right over my head.
  22. *has flashbacks to the days of his "suicidal AND LOVING IT~!" gimmick* Eh...suicide is overrated.
  23. Taker, HBK, and Austin (to a much lesser extent) are all criticized for backstage politics. What's your point?
  24. Outside of a VERY brief period in 2000, and possibly in the early stages of DX, I've never really liked HHH for various reasons. Prior to DX, it was more of a "this guy's heel, I don't like him" kinda thing. Once DX started, I began to dislike him because he kept interfering in Shawn's matches and ended up getting him DQ'd. That dislike grew stronger when he kicked HBK out of DX...and stronger when I found out he was dating Chyna. And STRONGER once the push from hell set in, and they put him in that horrible feud with Vince McMahon in the latter part of 99 (not only was it boring as hell, but it stole a lot of TV time from more entertaining programs). Then came the McMahon/Helsmley "Fact-gime", the single WORST stable in the history of professional wrestling. Then came HHH going over Tazz and, in essence, ECW in Philly. KOTR 2000, where Vince McMahon was pinned in order to take the belt off of him. I started liking him as the love triangle with Angle went on, but they fucked up the blowoff completely, and I ended up hating him again. Then came him being revealed as the mastermind behind Austin's hit and run. Then came the death no-sell at Survivor Series, where he blatantly defied logic because he was afriad of losing his spot if he went off on the injured list. I was fairly indifferent to him in 2001, although I *HATED* how he always seemed to get the better of Taker leading into WMX-7 (although that was good booking in retrospect, because I was VERY hyped to see the match between those two). I liked the 2 man power trip, although I hated how Austin was made to look weak while HHH was made to look strong week after week. I also hate his post return stuff, and that's pretty much self-explanitory.
  25. I never really got that angle. How was Bulldog supposed to get heel heat by powerslamming a 200-pound woman who regularly wrestles men? I could see if he threatened to piledrive her or put her through a table or something, but a regular powerslam? That whole segment just fell flat with me, and the fact that HHH didn't seem to give a damn about it only made it come off worse. I also think that was the Raw where Rock told Jericho to get his "jerkoff dad" out of the ring.
