Hogan, Rock and Austin all made huge amounts no doubt. Now some would (probably) argue that Hogan made the most and there is no doubt He probably did. However I'm not so sure Austin didn't make WWE more money and while Rock wouldn't have made them as much as either I am sure He made them a shed load. There are others of course who made a lot of money but the likes of HHH, Cena, Savage Hart, Andre and others wouldn't have made WWE as much money as the big 3 of Hogan, Austin and Rock. Or could one say that Vince McMahon Himself made WWE the most money? What are your thoughts?

With the right build up and a series of encounter or tag matches the last match can be (cliche time) a pressure cooker. Both guys or teams one upping each other for weeks, or with a proper build months. In a way the first meet is really just the warm up act. Or is it, the first match could make or break the series if fans are not gripped from the outset will the fued even pick up? So which is more important to you the first match, something in the middle or the blow off match? The final match, as far as i'm concerned it is the blowoff to the fued and it's what people will remember you could have 5* matches all the way through a feud and have a crappy last match and people will remember that feud for the last match which was crappy, the same goes for if there is a feud with average matches the whole way thourgh untill the final match which turns out to be excellent, people will remember that

I just realised something, actually that’s a lie I always knew but just never admitted to anybody, that I love crap wrestlers. Actually the worse the wrestler the more I like them. Call it the anti talent inversion factor. (Just because it sounds like something cool even though its silly.) As much as I like the Finlay’s and Jericho's of this world they can’t compare to a good old barely talented walking joke. It’s much more fun to watch somebody who is a half assed wrestler than it is to match a perfectly executed flawless match. Not that I complain about them mind. Take Carlito for example, He blows as many moves as He hits but I enjoy Carlito matches about a Billion times more than I do Jericho ones. Not because they are better just because I gain fun from wondering how well the particular match I am watching will be pulled off. With Jericho you know you will get something perfect or close, and that’s cool too, but with a Carlto anything can happen. Carlito is a wrestling god next to some of the walking, talking rejects that I love though. Bogeyman, The Goon, good old Nathan Jones. I love these guys for the very fact that they are crap. Even going back to the 80’s, Hogan and Savage were always of secondary importance to me. I was too busy enjoying Zeus and Uncle Elmer to care about them. I loved Warrior naturally. Is it crazy to be this fascinated with what is known elsewhere as wrestlecrap? It probably is but give me Doink the Clown vs. T.L. Hopper and I will be just as happy as if you had giving me AJ Styles vs. CM Punk. I don't like crap just because it is crap. I like stuff that is so goofy and crazy that it is actually solid gold and infectiously entertaining to watch. Snitsky, for example. Many liked to say "oh, you only like Snitsky because it's the new silly trend to like stupid things", but Gods honest truth, I absolutely LOVED watching Snitsky as a character. Not so much in the ring, but certainly his crazy promos, the baby-punting and the foot fetish. It was all capitvating TV and I felt better for having watched it than had I never seen it. To most, probably correctly, the guy is a useless goof with no business being in the ring and a childish character (well, at first at least). But it was so over the top and played so beautifully by Snitsky himself, that I got a huge kick out of it, and he quickly became a weekly highlight for me. Pity he's gone WCW in its dying days is similar. In theory, it should be a little harder to swallow because of the ramifications (the company went out of business), but I'll be damned if the ineptitude of Nitro and Thunder for its final two years weren't so bad that they very nearly became good. WCW was at least unintentionally hilarious when the product was a stinking lump of garbage. But on the flip side, there is the plain bad, and that doesn't really float my boat as much. Some of the WWE Divas and The Goon for example's sake, I didn't find the same enjoyment from. Ditto for Eric Young, the Kiss My Ass Club, the Big Fat Oily Guy/Big Dick Johnson, etc. They're just bad in the sense of being bad. So, um what do you think. Do you garner as much fun from the crap as you do the gold in your wrestlers?

Simple question do you laugh at clowns or do do you know that secretly every clown is evil. I have never met a clown I didn't find creepy, not even fun Doink. For me I think it stems back to when I saw the circus as a kid, I was walking around a tent when I saw Two clowns half in make up smoking and chatting up Two Girls. I always hated clowns after that.

No not a match it's a battle of which McMahon can get a bigger pay cheque. Apparently Steph is not happy with the fact She doesn't get paid enough, hence stupidly long job title and a recent raise. Shane thinks that for the role Steph does in the company She gets too much money. (For the record Steph Got 350, 000 and change and Shane 470,000 last year.)

Yeah he looks like a sinker all right.

Could I be more wrong with these predictions?
zhangmeijie replied to zhangmeijie's topic in The WWE Folder
Well I would say that is an accurate statement, but Still I was a bit off base. -
The Cruiserweight division is a not exactly in tip top shape right now, that's not exactly a secret , how can it be brought back to life? Gregory Helms was great and so is Chavo, but since losing the (now abandoned) title Helms is once again doing nada and Chavo isn’t doing a whole lot either. Just hanging around Edge. Then there is the stalled push of Brian Kendrick. Sorry THE Brian Kendrick Well let's take a look at what WWE could do. First of all how exactly does a smaller man, not named Rey, get a (non Cruiser) push in WWE. Well if you are a WWE road agent you will inform any cruiserweight who asks that the following: You would first tell them to have good matches, but in a WWE style. Then you would tell them to perform the current angle, mic work, feud etc as best they could. Of course a cruiser getting an angle and feud is the hard part. That of course is the predictable answer but no matter how hard they try to do this Cruisers still don’t get the pushes they deserve. Look at Kendrick and London, they were thrown together because the bookers couldn’t think of anything better to do with them. Fair enough they got a long title reign made the most of it and were entertaining, just don’t expect the Kendrick push to start again Look at London’s last Cruiser tag team. Remember Kidman and London? They were thrown together too and giving the tag belts. Then for no reason they split and fought each other. Again fair enough they could have had a great feud. To a point they did, their match at No Mercy in 2004 was a classic. That was it though one match was the feud the next time we saw London he was jobbing on Velocity. Of course the winner of the No Mercy match Billy Kidman got a big push. Well almost he entered into a feud with Chavo Guerrero in late October 2004 over the cruiser title. Then they dropped the feud and crowned Funaki champ in a battle royal. That made one thing clear. WWE decided a surprise win was much more important than hard work and ability. (No offence to Funaki he is talented.) The crowd of course didn’t,and don't give a damn about Funaki, indeed why should they. He went from being a whipping boy to a champ in mere weeks, then back to a whipping boy again. There was no story line reason for the win. This happened a lot in WWE’s cruiser division. (Incidentally Chavo Guerrero had a fit backstage over this and attacked the Big Show. Why because Chavo felt Show who was getting a mega push ill deserved it while he Chavo should be Cruiser champ.) Chavo was after, of course, Cruiser champ, and what has did he do after the win? Not a whole lot, He may be about to fight Edge, that would be a good thing. Everybody knows, or should realise that these Cruisers can and often do have amazing matches. Well as amazing as you can be in the Five minutes or less they usually get. (If they are not called Rey or Bourne who at least get time.) Never mind that though the important question is this. Can Cruisers affect PPV buy rates and WWE numbers? Can they actually draw in WWE in other words. The best, and I would say only, answer to that is yes. Look at ECW’s lucha division (The real ECW I mean) and WCW’s version of the Cruiser division. Why did they succeed because the cruisers were booked right that’s why. Better still look at Japan, and NJPW in particular. Remember Jushin Liger? Liger was used in such a way to hide his weaknesses (assuming he even had any). He was booked against wrestlers that worked a similar style. He was damn sure never jobbed out to the heavyweights. In fact the IWGP Junior title was just as important as the heavyweight version and was often booked in the main event above the HW title. This was accepted for one reason only, the title was respected and never treated like dirt. Now back to WWE can you imagine The SD world champ fighting in the mid card and the Cruiser champ, pretending for a second they still had this title, defending his crown in the main event. Of course you can’t and why would you. IF WWE put their mind to it and set aside Twelve months to book a Division like NJPW did there is no doubt it would succeed. That won’t happen though because cruisers are seldom allowed to perform to the best of their abilities in WWE. (Rey is booked as a heavyweight.) As long as WWE treats it’s cruiser division as something of an afterthought it and any future Cruiser title they might bring back will remain a joke. It tells a lot that the only Two cruisers getting a push, and a good one, right now are never booked as Cruisers, Rey and Bourne Rather Rey is a ME heavyweight wrestler, despite his size, and Bourne is just facing anybody but not being pushed as a Cruiserweight. Nothing wrong there but they should be getting involved with a Cruiser Division as well. Cruisers often complain about the lack of pushes in private, and sometimes even in public online. That’s no solution though so what is? Well it may be a bad idea considering the distinct lack of options these days but I think a stand is in order. What they should do is tell the bookers exactly what they think. A revolution might not get them anywhere but nowhere is still a step up for the likes of Yang, Funaki and yes even the wasted Chavo right now. I had more to say, well sort of, but I can’t think of what right now and anyway this debate / rant / intelligent post* is getting long enough. *Delete as needed

So I was cleaning up some old files, saving what I want to keep to disks and deleting the rest and I came across a prediction thread I had wrote, and I assume posted somewhere, although can't remember where maybe three years ago. It's intresting how my predictions turned out, I thought it might make for a good laugh how wrong I was in some cases. So here is the original post with updated comments. Let's deal with the last comment first. Carlito a world champion? I don't smoke pot but anybody reading that would assume I must have being. The current SD Champ Dave Batista. Will he still be main eventing in 2008, yes I believe he will. Will he be a title contender or champion probably not. I can’s see Dave succeeding as a champ in his current character & with his current abilities therefore I don’t see another title reign in his future. Mind you Dave has the kind of look WWE loves so he could be a multiple champion. Well I was right about him still main eventing. Couldn't be more wrong about him going into 2009 as a champion or challenger mind. As he was Injured The Raw Champ John Cena. Vince will still be pushing him. Half the world will still hate him and the other half will love him. Likely as not he will go into the event as a top contender if not a champ. I was right here. HHH. Bar H3 & Steph’s marriage having difficulties I see no reason why H3 won’t still be around & dominating Raw in 2008. He will also be a strong contender for main eventing WM 24 possibly as a champ. Expect at least 1 more Title runs in the mean time. He got one more title reign but it only lasted half an hour, or so. Then the longer reign he has now. He is dominating but seems to have toned down the jobbing out people. I do expect him to ME forever Chris Jericho. Jericho has said more than once that he wants to retire young for good & concentrate on his music & I know he is living his dream but I think he will play some part in wm 25 no doubt. I knew he would be back in time for WM 25. He was back well in time Chris Benoit. Benoit will still be doing what he is doing now, putting stars over & main eventing with out actually winning much in the way of titles, I don’t see a second World title run other than a caretaker run before he retires. Yes we all know what happened here. Kane. Can WWE drag much more out of the Kane character? There’s not a whole lot more they can do with this character that wouldn’t be repetitive. I can see major changes to the Kane character & possibly even a name change (to his real name?) before WM 24. They never did anything with him, no changes. He is still repitive. Undertaker: See Kane. Again what more can they do with this character? They can put him in the World title picture and make him look as good as he has ever. I was wrong to assume Taker had nothing left. His stunning match with HBK proved me wrong. Shelton Benjamin. He will no doubt be a champion by wm 24 & probably a successful one as well, Shelton will play a big part in the future of WWE. Now some here may not agree with that but I can see it happening. Some may not agree with that, indeed, and that some includes me. Shelton had his chance and it ain't coming again any time soon. The Divas. First Lita, barring a career ending injury she will be doing something. (which the way she wrestles will be likely.) Mickie will still be around & will be a woman’s champ or top contender. The same goes for Lilian, Melina & probably Maria who I think will stick around. Victoria & Torrie may not be there though. Torrie doesn’t do much so WWE may let her go in one of it’s cost cutting moves or she may request a leave. Victoria will likely suffer the same fate in fact she may be released when the divas of this years diva search contest are hired. (Much like Nidia & Gail were a few years back.) As for the rest of them, who cares. Well Lita did retire, just not from an injury. Mickie is still around and is a top contender. Lilian, Melina and Maria all doing the same thing as predicted. Torrie is where? Victoria managed to avoid the cuts, but retired. I still don't care about the rest of them, Beth aside who at least tries. Randy Orton. Will still be around & could be a two or more time champ by then. Orton is destined to have a great wrestling career. Yep was champ again since and is having a great career, let's hope he doesn't screw it up again. Edge. Like Orton he has a bright future in WWE, he will be a multiple champ. Strange I didn't have much to say about the great Edge. Anyway he has had the titles I assumed he would. As for the Rest. Ric Flair will likely have an office job or will finally have retired. Shawn Michaels will be there still doing the living legend routine. People like Cade and Murdoch, Val Venis & some of the Cruisers who are not used that much are likely to be cut at some stage or other to make way for new signings. Ric Flair have an ofice job or retired? I was right who would have thought it. HBK is still doing the living legend rotuine. Cade and Murdoch finally got over and then DID get cut. Venis and most of the cruisers got cut also Snitsky & Chris Masters are history long ago. Well Masters is gone, eventually but not because of his ring work. Snitsky was still being pushed sadly for longer, not now as he is gone. I can See Daviri around but probably with a gimmick alteration. (Maybe even a face turn after all fans accepted Sgt Slaughter as a face even after his pro Iraq heel turn.) Hopefully Khali will be history. Khali is not history and even won a world title, Davairi um is he even still employeed (by TNA)? Umaga will have got about as far as he can with that gimmick in so many months, he may not even last that long without some major changes. Nitro, Mercury and the Hardy’s will all be upper midcarders if they are still around. ECW will I think last the distance and it’s major stars will be CM Punk, Kevin Thorn and the usual old school ECW guys. (Dreamer, RVD, Sandman.) Was I ever wrong about Umaga, he still hasn't grown stale thanks to his superb work. Mercury is gone and Nitro is Morrison but other than that They are still doing the same thing. ECW will just about last the distance and will almost get cancelled I should have said. Punk aside my predictions about who would be main eventing were askew. As for non WWE talent being on Raw & being there at WM 25. AJ Styles will likely be hired & just as likely be misused by then so he may be on the card. Nope TNA hung on to AJ Hulk Hogan will probably be there doing something as Will Steve Austin. Austin Did, Not Hogan.

That would be fucking hard, since I don't drive and never did. -
HaHa no back in the day, not now I wonder was it ever done. Is Tugboat even alive? Was it Boat/Typhoon or Earthquake who died?

These days they would give them a tribute. In 1993 it wasn't really done.

That's true, never a truer word said. Which is why I married a European man.

The site isn't going to die, even as slow as it has got it's still busier than 80% of wrestling forums. It may be on the endangered list for a while mind.

I miss the old school squash matches. They need to book people like Brooklyn Brawler and Barry Horriblewitz again. So when a big star needs to go over somebody in a 2 minute squash it looks like a squash. Watching Kendrick and Santino lose on Raw didn't feel like a squash, it just felt like a burial.

Well talking to yourself can be fun... ...As long as you don't start answering yourself.
