Longest Yard trailer available

I thought Nash was in the movie. Ha. Austin seems to have a funny role, but looks weird without the goatee. I'll probably go check it out in the theatres. -
Suprising moves that a wrestler has used.

God, that was so fucking crazy with Benoit/Angle/Rey doing it all the time in late 2002. I knew all about that move, and when I saw them build up to it at Rumble 2003 and do it, I fucking shat myself at the Fleet Center. And Brock doing it at Mania 19 was even more fucking crazy. Too bad they don't do it anymore. It was sick. -
That was hilarious. And Rock acted like he did nothing wrong.

I think that was the most underrated match of 2000. -
You forgot SARGE! And Double A.

I'd have him take Bischoff's spot. Watching Steamboat tell Triple H and Ric Flair to shut the fuck up with be all I need.

Totally agree. That match in San Jose was awesome. I wish they had a rematch. -

That's another one I totally forgot about. Jesus christ. So we've got (in no order): 1. Evolution Break Up. 2. JBL as WWE Champion 3. Overexposure of Eugene 4. Edge's Return 5. Kane/HBK Angle 6. Kane/Lita Saga 7. Diva Search Man. They really went out of their way this year. -
That was such an awesome ending.

This best of is really going 3 hours? Holy balls. Edit: I just checked TV Guide and it's only 2 hours.

What was the one angle the WWE screwed up?

You know what's sad? I forgot all about that angle with Orton/HHH and it was very awesome, but as you stated, because of no patience, they fucked it up. The only thing is that I think they may save face because they are going the route of what they were going to do with Orton with Batista right now, and I'd rather have Batista than that main event spot then Orton. Just like the Katie Vick angle, the Kane/Lita and the Diva Search stuff over the summer of 2004 are just prime examples of why Vince goes WAY overboard to spark intrest when all it does is backfire. -
Well, this year has come and gone and we've certainly been left with a lot to think about. I personally believe 2004 started off awesome and had some of the best TV in a long time. Up until Wrestlemania 20, everything was really solid. I personally believe that the WWE stopped giving a crap once Wrestlemania 20, and everything honestly after that this year was totally unmemorable with no consistency throughout the year. I think it was quite evident when the "Best of Raw: 2004" featured stuff mostly from Jan - March 2004. It just seems like everything after Bad Blood is blurry in my mind. I even went to a Raw in Manchester in July and I can't even remember a majority of what happened because it was just blah. Anyways, enough of that...point I'm trying to make...what do you guys believe was the one major thing the WWE had going for them that they totally ended up botching this year? I've been debating back and forth...but I'd have to say the overexposure of Eugene is one of them. When the character first debuted, everyone was into it and it was a great midcard personality. WWE, realizing they are desperate for pretty much anything that would grab the audience's intrest, pushed Eugene (the character..Dinsmore was ready for a push, however) and mostly took up a feud with Evolution (specifically Triple H) throughout the summer of 2004 and anticlimaticly ended with Triple H prevailing. I believe if WWE had patience, this could of gone a lot further but so be it. The second angle was the Kane attacking Shawn Michaels angle...and putting him out of comission for the entire summer. ONLY, to have HBK come back and wrestle Kane in a match that no one cares about and no one talks about at all. This storyline was really huge at first and everyone was talking about it. It had a lot of potential to boost some intrest on Raw, but nothing was done about it. The horrid Kane/Lita storyline was somehow more intresting than this, and thus took the attention away from it. I don't recall Kane ever cutting a promo about attacking Shawn other than the week after, either. It was just instantly dropped, and added in as a filler match for Unforgiven when they had nothing else to do with Kane, and Michaels was ready to come back. It's really dissapointing how the WWE can do something really well, and then just fuck it up instantly. So let's here what you guys have to say. By the way, you can talk about Smackdown stuff but because a good portion of wrestling fans don't even watch that show (including myself), I can't really blame you for not talking about it if you decide not too.

I still slightly marked out watching Shelton/HHH. Ever since that match, I think WWE stopped care for the rest of the year. Once they got Mania 20 under their belt, it just seemed like no one really had any direction and could care less what happened. Which explains why 2/3 of the stuff on this show relates to stuff Pre-March of 2004. And it was pretty funny that when they went over the Eugene stuff, they mentioned NO part of the Triple H/Eugene feud which dominated a big portion of the summer...and gives us more evidence why the Summer of 2004 was a waste.

I think it would be funny if down the road they did a PPV promo like that with guys being old wrestlers...kinda like your idea. I thought the Rumble promo was really good and funny. They should do shit like that more often.

I think he may have in early 2001 after he came back from neck surgery. Look at him from Early 2002 to Late 2000...total difference.

They won't.
