I love the first Clash album, but it's not amazing. I would certainly put them above pub rock. Now The Damned, that's ultimate pub rock. But I like that too.

Well, Britain is fairly dull. That's part of the idea, I only noticed about the fourth time I watched how much background noise (sirens, army trucks etc) was going on with the main characters completely oblivious and preoccupied with their relationship crises etc. Honestly, you will have missed stuff, the record throwing sequence isn't really that obscure.

I don't expect yanks to get Shaun of the Dead fully, but watch it again, and you'll see stuff you missed. Very well made film.

The Very Best of Talk Talk Hard to see when it'll get played though, what with Journey being next to it. 'Be Good To Yourself' is starting to really grow on me as well, just because the intro reminds me of Andrew WK. More so than the others.

Radiohead are above average, mainly because of Johnny Greenwood. I'll go with U2. For the amount of records they've shifted, they really haven't ever done anything unbelievable.

Monks - Black Monk Time. Well, to say this is nearly 40 years old, it's pretty fucking good. 'I Hate You' is the stand out thus far.

'Don't Stop Believin'' is taking over half the board. I love it. Yes, I have Intro somewhere. And I'm listening to 'Kitchen Person' by The Associates. Billy Mackenzie was a great vocalist.
