Up until last year I hadn't really watched football since I was a kid, so I'm not hugely loyal to either Sheff Utd or Wednesday, and bizarrely enough I could probably support either. That said, I'm more drawn to Wednesday these days, cos it's more fun. United have been the far better side in the past few years but they're also unbearably dull for the most part. With the Owls, whether you win (away) or lose to the worst teams in the universe due to a smattering of late goals (home) you've just got to laugh. Mind you, we love Paul Sturrock, he's done a great job so far, and it's reassuring to have a manager who isn't satisfied with losses for a change.

I am willing to accept that I will like any genre of music if it's done well. emo is the only genre I've really heard much of that I've despised entirely. At The Drive-In released a good album, but some wouldn't consider them emo. I think that's the closest thing I can tolerate.

Metal, indie rock, and Frank Zappa seems to be the most popular stuff here. You know, more people like rap than metal here. It's true. Although there are less where it is the primary musical fancy. We need a bigger following of musique concrete. If you like musique concrete, get Meet The Residents.

I, of course, think Morrissey is a demigod, but I accept he's always going to be a love or hate artist. That said, check out anything from Vauxhall and I, Viva Hate, Your Arsenal and the b sides collection Bona Drag, not to mention the live album from 1992 Beethoven Was Deaf. In fact, you could probably listen to that instead of Your arsenal because it's a set weighted in favour of the album and the songs just come to life. He might still not set your world alight but that's his better output.

I'm actually quite looking forward to Batman Begins, yeah. But it could quite easily go wrong.
