    Punk Essentals?

Big Black - Songs About Fucking The Damned - Best of the Damned, which is includes the rare single "Jet Boy Jet Girl", based on Plastic Bertrand's "Ça Plane Pour Moi" Killing Joke - Night Time Agent Orange - Living In Darkness Definitely Bad Religion, Bouncing Souls and Descendents. And all the ones Coffin Surfer and nl5xsk1 mentioned, especially OpIvy.
  2. Dianne Wiest and Joan Allen, two of the best actresses who never get any kind of recognition. Everyone else either gets the props they deserve or are seriously overrated.
  3. I don't know if this has been brought up before, but I noticed that RVD is the only character who can kick a chair into an opponent's face. Let me clarify: normally, when a character wields a chair, running and then attacking results in hitting the character over the head with it. But RVD runs with the chair and then dropkicks it into the opponent, like in real life. I tried to figure out if it was some combination of moves that let a CAW perform the same trick, but the only way I've been able to do it is if I create a new character, give him RVD's moveset, and then adjust the other moves accordingly. And so far, it hasn't affected the CAW's ability to do the chair dropkick. I assume this goes for UT's zombie sit-up as well. Anybody know of any other moves/nuances that are strictly tied into the other characters?
  4. I'm gonna assume you mean Tom Pritchard, and not the Brother Lovin' Bruce.
  5. I personally wouldn't sully the theatrical field by calling these soulless mannequins "actors", but here is a small sampling of my "shoot on sight" list: Julia Roberts Tom Cruise The cast of Friends Jennifer Lopez (she gets double hate for her shitty "music") Jennifer Love Hewitt Sarah Michelle Gellar The cast of The O.C. (except Peter Gallagher) Ashton Kutcher Martin Lawrence Tori Spelling Chris Tucker That fat woman on Will and Grace Vivica A. Fox Will Smith Nia Vardalos Hilary Duff Lindsay Lohan Chris Kattan Rob Schneider Adam Sandler Cheri Oteri
  6. You Got Served 2: Mo' Better Servin's And JAxl's right. American pop culture jumped the shark a long time ago. There are few things mainstream that are worth the effort to market.
  7. On doit des égards aux vivants; on ne doit aux morts que la vérité. -Voltaire
  8. Sting doing a Super Samoan Drop on Vader. It took him a minute to actually hoist him up and then climb the turnbuckle, but damn it if that sonofabitch didn't him solid with the move.
  9. Vince should just scrap the whole PPV and build toward the next proper SD! PPV. Who is going to by such a shitty card, especially only one week after the RAW PPV?
  10. I've been playing piano since 1977 (and boy, do my fingers hurt.) I have perfect pitch, so I can listen to a song a few times and then play it relatively accurately. Some friends taught me how to play minimalist guitar about seven years ago. Mainly I do chord strumming and a little finger-picking, but nothing too earth-shattering. Nowadays I just watch other people play and pick up what I can. I played drums and clarinet in grammar school for a year, and have subsequently forgotten everything I learned.
  11. Yeah. I'd take a hundred feuds with Kane over a single minute of Bradshaw. And regarding Dids' comment on HBK, I started watching his match with Orton last night on tape, but I got bored, so I fast forwarded it a little, then a little more, and even that got boring, so I just stopped watching the match once DAVE~! made his way down the steps. I can't wait until he retires his sorry boring ass for good. Benoit x2 @ PPV > Clique in a Cell
  12. I never thought I'd see the day when Bradshaw's pathetic attempts to garner heat would give rise to a debate such as this. All he did was try to rile up some wrestling fans, and you folks gave it to him in spades, thereby justifying his existence in the sport that we all love. Don't you know that the more you ignore him, the faster he'll disappear? For shame. (And shame on me for adding to the trainwreck.)
  13. I hope you guys didn't pay good money for these flicks. Otherwise, I'll have to blame you all for encouraging Hollywood to keep making these throw-away movies.

    DVD deals

Thanks for the tip. There's one close to my house, and they seem to have some good deals on rentals, too, so maybe I'll check 'em out.
  15. Sure they do. Benoit has hugged men on three separate occasions that I can think of: EDDY~! at WMXX, Edge after they won the tag belts, and Eugene on this past RAW. I'm sure there's countless others. Nevertheless, expecting Vince and Co. to craft a well thought out characterization of a gay wrestler is akin to asking Holly to job to Booker T in a squash (if the rumours are true ). Wrestling will always cater to the lowest common denominator, so as it has been historically, "gay" characters will be portrayed as the swishy, effeminate stereotype that has ingrained itself in the average fan's mindset.

    DVD deals

I can't trust previously viewed DVDs. And the one and only experience I had at Wal-mart has ensured that I will never go back there again. As for the Circuit City sale, the only one I would consider getting is Matchstick Men. I've already got X-2, Fight Club and Crouching Tiger..., and the rest of the list isn't worth getting on DVD. However, I did find The Ice Storm, Say Anything SE and The Virgin Suicides all under $10 in the Best Buy cheapie aisle this past weekend.

YANKEE DOODLE DANDY (1942) I also shy away from big blockbuster movies like Titanic, Armageddon and Pearl Harbor, except if its for free and I'm extremely bored (which doesn't happen too often). You can also add Gladiator and Troy to that list.
  18. How much would it cost to just ship these lifers someplace where they can't harm anybody, like, say, the South Pole? I would think a penal colony in Antarctica is the way to go. Just put them on a boat with a parka and a bottle of water and be done with it. It's not really killing the criminals, but you know for sure that they a) wouldn't be around to commit more crimes, and b) they probably wouldn't survive a day there. Hell, they might even kill each other off and save Mother Nature from getting her hands dirty. Of course, you run the risk of a "Con Air"-type situation where the criminals take control of the vessel, but I'm sure that can be controlled by either beefing up security or limiting how many criminals go at one time.

    Tool.

Definitely awesome, for all the reasons everyone stated and more. If all you look for in Tool are radio-friendly singles, then you're better off listening to something else. If you can enjoy albums as a whole rather than as a collection of songs, then I think you can appreciate Tool a lot more than most.
  20. My CAWs: Owen Hart Bret Hart Vader Bam Bam Bigelow Andre the Giant D'Lo Brown Crash Holly Tazz Raven Tommy Dreamer Nunzio Jamie Noble Jeff Hardy Spanky Paul London Christopher Daniels Low-Ki AJ Styles Akio Sakoda Nova Mikey Whipwreck William Regal I may have a few more, but I can't remember. Can't wait to make Jinsei Shinzaki and Hayabusa!
  21. Nice love from the moderator Way to remain impartial there, Nikjohns. I think eventually everybody gets stale and that is the whole purpose of turning face and turning heel. Have Cena get hit in the head and the first thing he sees is a picture of 1987 Sting. He believes he is Sting until the real Sting comes back and scares the crap out him. You get a new program for Cena and something to do with Sting upon his arrival. Done and done. Uh, that's a horrible idea, and would do no favors for Cena at all. Especially since it involves reanimating dinosaurs like Sting. Just have him lose the belt and go nuts. And I don't mean Deez nuts, either. Have him lose the belt, keep trying to get it back and losing, eschewing the support of the other faces, and eventually turning his back on the fans. Simple is better.
  22. One little thing bothered me (apart from the overall boringocity of SD!): Why did Akio come out alone for his match against Senor Classic? He's nursing an injury, AND going against someone who has backup in the form of his son. So where was Sakoda? It's these little bits of lost continuity and common sense that really make it hard to enjoy this show.
  23. Slightly off-topic, but during the Kenzo Suzuki promo, I distinctly heard the word "Misterio", so I can only imagine his first feud will be with Rey Rey. As for Mordecai, he'll probably go after someone on the lower midcard to build up his credibility, and it would have to be someone he can hit the Razor's Edge on, so it won't be 'Taker at first. Shit, I can't even think of any reputable yet expendable faces on SD! Maybe Billy Gunn? Rikishi? Rico? My head hurts.
  24. However, I like that you can edit the Superstars' movesets. I gave Goldberg and O.G. Undertaker the "Rock Angry" as a finisher, since I hate them both so much. I also updated some of the other wrestlers' finishers, especially those who had the same finisher for both options.
