It's time for you, the POSTERS, to decide!
Damaramu replied to IllustriousOne's topic in No Holds Barred
Can we all talk to one another like this in any forum on the board? I want to call people shitbags for disagreeing with me in sports. -
Official "I saw Fahrenheit 9/11" thread......
Damaramu replied to NoCalMike's topic in Television & Film
Ok seriously. How the hell is MikeSC getting away with this shit? This isn't Current Events nor is this HD but he's trolling and flaming away like mad. -
The reason it happened so fast is all based around the backstory pretty much. They were best friends but something changed Damaramu in Japan. Ryan Smith still wanted his friend back and he was still trying to save Damaramu even to the very end. Smith went all intense and evil like Damaramu and at the end when he's holding the lead pipe over Dama's head just as Dama has done to him in the past Dama realized what he'd done and it just snapped inside his head and he started begging for forgiveness. Ryan Smith wanting to save Damaramu stood there and finally cracked as he believed he had his friend back. It's pretty much the power of friendship. Damaramu was the best friend that Ryan Smith ever had. And when Dama changed it broke Ryan Smith's heart. He went on his quest to bring Dama back, weathering all the abuse possible in an attempt to redeem his friend that he knew was still buried in there. And when he saw Damaramu on his knees begging for forgiveness he knew that he had his friend back. That connection was already there and it was rekindled in that moment in time. That's why it makes perfect sense to me. You just gotta know the backstory. They will explain all on Thursday.

Works for me. Everyone else, back off. *bows* Can I have your children?
-
Well you have to look at the history. They used to be best friends. Ryan Smith still has the soft spot deep down in his heart for his friend. He even said it originally when he came in that he was trying to redeem his friend and later he said that he wasn't but deep in his heart he didn't believe it. He always thought he could somehow get his friend back in the end and when Dama started begging he had no choice but to believe him on the strength of there previous friendship. If things stay peachy though.....that remains to be seen.

Well we'll see the new super-tandem of Damaramu and Ryan Smith of course.....

I haven't brought this one back in a while but..........What am I invisible!? Feedback me biatches!!!!!!!!

Bad Religion kicked all kinds of ass though. I'm going to see them again when they start there new tour in the fall.
-
No this can't be happening. I was left out of the props again!? Well that's only the 1887908730875 time that's happened.
-
NOFX is also very picky about where they play. They only like to play in stadiums. Bah fuck them.....at least I got to see Bad Religion. Bad Religions set was as I remember: Supersonic American Jesus God's Love Epiphany Los Angeles is Burning Infected Sorrow That's as far as I remember.
-
No. The bands I listed were the ones I watched. The Casualties, Bowling for Soup, Flogging Molly, The Vandals, Bouncing Souls, and Bad Religion. The rest of the time I was playing in puddles and walking around to all the booths.
-
Damn you bastards at NOFX not coming to Dallas! *shakes fist* The Disasters were supposed to be there but I never saw them.....sucks. That's the second time the Disasters were supposed to be somewhere where I'm at and weren't.....

Why do you make fun of Michael Moore? Because his viewpoint is different than yours? That's all I'm seeing here. "I disagree with Mikey so I hate him!" Well I disagree with George Bush a lot but I don't hate him and make fun of him all the time. Not at all. And no he doesn't hate America. I'm pretty sure he loves this country and that's why he criticizes what is going on. He doesn't agree with the government so he's saying something about it. Just because you disagree with what the government is doing doesn't mean you hate them. The beauty of this country is that you are allowed to speak out against the goverment and disagree with the actions they are taking. That's why it is a free country. And in the same vein you're allowed to defend the country for what they are doing and applaud there decisions. The problem is that people like Michael Moore take the criticizing to an extreme and people like MikeSC take the defending to an extreme. Well not everyone(read: me) are like this but if you say anything for or against the government you are already categorized as an extremeist like those two. q

Hey I just got back from the first show of the 2004 Vans Warped Tour in Dallas Texas! It was originally supposed to start in Houston on Friday night but they got rained out. Overall it was a pretty good show. I don't think it was as good as last year's though. This year the main bands playing on the big stage at the end were as follows: Flogging Molly, Bouncing Souls, The Vandals, and Bad Religion. Actually that was the only bands I cared about at the end. One other band played but I can't remember there name b/c I hated them. It was an awesome show but the only other band's I really liked that day were The Casualties(oh my god that's like the 3rd time i've seen them and they fucking rock everytime!) and Bowling For Soup(hey they're funny!). There was a band of like 8 year old punk kids playing so that was cool. I dunno.....I had more fun last year. Partly b/c it was my first Warped Tour and partly b/c I just loved the Andrew WK/Dropkick Murphys/Less Than Jake/Suicide Machines/Rancid lineup. No NOFX though.....bastards. Also this year I noticed the sudden influx of 12-17 year old girls that look like Avril Lavinge and Korn kids.......EVERYWHERE! It was absurd. It rained though. That was pretty cool. Me and my friend's played in the puddles splashing water and shit. It was funny though b/c it was like a monsoon and people were already soaked and they'd get made when we splashed water on them. Then again some people loved it and came over to play with us. Then these 2 girls started throwing mud...oh man that wasn't cool. I did see a lot of chicks in nothing but bra's or bathing suit tops and a lot of mud wrestling. We met these two girls there we hung around with and one of them was sticking real close to me. We went to see Bowling for Soup and she stood in front of me and grinded her ass on my crotch the entire time. It wasn't a booty dance dammit...it was an f'n standing lap dance. I felt all up on her ass and tits and she didn't say anything and afterwards I called her on it and she claimed she was just trying to balance herself(on my cock apparently). I did put her up on my shoulders though so she could flash Bowling for Soup and then I got her up on my shoulders so she could see the 8 year old's playing music and dared her to flash them.....she did. It was cool. I didn't mosh as much this year either. I was tired early on. Which I don't understand b/c I'm in better shape than I was last year....ah well I guess I'm getting old. Overall a very fun experience and you don't have to be so-called "punk rock" to go. Because I listen to a lot of punk music and go to a lot of punk shows but I don't consider myself "punk rock" in the least bit at all. So the Warped Tour was fun and I recommend it. *cheesey thumbs up*

I'm happy. I like Carmelo a lot. Will Duncan or Okafor start at Center? I mean I know it's not Duncan's natural position but he's crosslisted as a center on that list and I'd think he'd maybe do better than Okafor on the team....I dunno though.
-
Well of course they'd look bad against LSU. Good defenses make good offenses look bad. OU had the top scoring offense in the country and LSU's defense ate them up. Then again OU's defense turned around in the second half and gave us the defensive battle we were looking for....but by then it was to far gone....... Anyways moral of the story is......a great defense is better than a great offense. But you all already know that.

Semi bad news. I am going on a trip and won't be back until sunday and my match is only half done. I'm going to have to have it edited in on sunday when i finish it.

Alabama: Bamaallowed 333 pts in 13 games LY which borke the schooll record(287), but 2 of their games were dcided in OT. bama was in an extremely rough situation last year and finish 4-9 but out FD'd Oklahoma 19-13, had 2 OT losses, looked past NI(lost by 3), and lost to rival Auburn by 5 so they could easily have had a much better record. The Tide was 3-8 in 2000 and rebounded to get a bowl game in 200 and are in much better shape this year with 14 starters returning. Keep in mind just two years ago they basically won the SEC West(best record at 6-2) and outgained SEC foes by 152.1 yp, the best mark in the league. Last year they were pegged for either 3rd or 4th in the SEC West but I picked them 5th(SI only other magazine to peg them that low) and that ws mostly due to the rough offseason and the fact they had benefitted from +15 turnovers the year before. While Bama is coming off their first 9 season loss in 48 years, they played, arguably the toughest schedule in the SEC last year and the Tide should be in much better shape now that Shula has had an entire year with the team. The schedule is also more conducive to success this year as teams that have early season success gain confidence and Bama could be favored in their first 7 games(which makes them a surprise contender in the SEC West). this will be the first time since 1927 that the Tide doesn't play a game at Legion Field. They do have tough road trips to Tenn and LSU but with home games it should be a season much more palatable to the Tide faithful. The Tide is my 2nd most improved team in the country which means they should be back in a bowl. You know I was at work during the OU/Bama game and I heard the score so I didn't pay much attention to it. But people act like OU escaped by the skin of there teeth? Were they really having that much trouble? Or was it just a close game? People act like Bama was beating on OU but they didn't seem to fare much better.
-
So if it's ever proven that he actually did take them....are his records erased?
-
*packs bags* I'm out of this fucking state.....
-
Yeah I'm not expecting them to win either but I am so looking forward to this game. I'm going to be in the stands and it'll be wild.

Who's Nowinski? Chris Nowinski?
-
So as an Oregon fan.....what do you expect out of the game with OU? Is it the game you fear the most out of their schedule?
