The WWE Backlash '06 Thread...
CheesalaIsGood replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
From what i am reading it was Cena who "won the match" but it was HHH that was put over. -
I could never understand why anything would be taken away from a later version of a game. For instance if you are using the same game engine then later releases should have MORE on top of what the prior games already featured.
-
Ok, you did. Well done.

HOORAY! Now update the friggin W - L thread in the WWE folder.

New Orleans went from American metropolis to absolute chaos while he was attending his usual scheduled stuff. Yes, I do believe he would have been there reading that book whether he knew or not. There is no fucking excuse for that either. None.

Smart Marks on Myspace...it was bound to happen.

Weird? No. Good? Yes, cept for the newest BHG cd. That is total crap. -
It would be really easy for this conversation to bleed into a case for not eating meat. So let me just say that cruelty to animals is just that, CRUEL. Still meat is food and that is not going to change. These days we really do not need the pelt from an animal to stay warm when it's cold, but some people prefere it I guess. Does it make us evil to "consume" the animals even if it has some proper use? Probably, it does. Oh man THAT ^ was some crap posting. I am so so sorry.

ICP fans amuse me but only from a distance. I like the ICP but I really have no desire to "get any on me". I do think it took entirely too long for KISS to get a mention as they are the blueprint for shitty fandom. I have seen both groups live but I still get the most uncomfortable waiting in line to see WWE.

Carnival and Leena. Make it happen.

The W- L thing was cool. I liked giving it a look. It really doesn't tell you anything. But hey, I'd prefer it if wrestling went with a more sports oriented presentation anyway. That is just me I guess. This ban wasn't needed.

Why would any of us be offended that you think our relevance is comparable to that of David Lee Roth? Wow, I have NO idea.

Therapy? Their cd "Troublegum" from 94. The first 3 tracks "Knives" "Screamager" and "Hellbelly". Great kick off to a great record.

Did he and Esham ever bury their beef? I know Proof did "Apollo G's" but I never heard if Esham ever accepted it. Although I did hear that Shaggy 2 Dope from ICP had been quoted as saying the beef was over with Em and all of those guys so...

I haven't heard too much about him getting axed but the show isn't very good. Dave does alright when he is talking about the music business as he has a good amount of insight. I just can't listen to him talk about anything topical like that girl that got murdered in NY by that bouncer guy. I mean who gives a shit what David Lee Roth thinks? He is as relevent as a messageboard poster in the scheme of things. No offence anybody.

Who? And does anyone else have some misgivings on how they'll use Haas, considering that he had a twin brother who died, and the WWE seems determined to go into heretical territory with their storylines as of late. No, I don't... unless Haas becomes a bigger star than he is right now. His brother Russ wasn't even on the main roster so I doubt they'll think anyone will care enough to bring it up.

I'm talking about the actual fighting part... Seriously, Tony is an out of shaped, fat, and very weak from the gun shot, and he beats up a young, in shaped, muscle freak. That's like Viscera being able to kick Kurt Angle's ass in a fight. The guy was too intimidated to fight back in a room full of ruthless gangsters who would have shot him if he layed a hand on the recovering Tony.
-
Tony beat that guys ass BECAUSE he had muscles. Plus the guy wasn't one of the boys. So he could wail away on him and not fear any repercussions. Now everybody knows once again that Tony isn't weak. It was cool being in Tony's head for a second while he scoped out who it was that was going to get the beatdown.

The guy was there making a pick up of some cash from the bartender and just happened to catch Vito. So he has a BUSINESS reason to be there. Unlike our pal Vito.

I can remember a numbre of times on SD when Cena was U.S. Champ that he was being cheered universally in the crowd. Just about everybody seemed to like him. But come on, when they constantly keep going to reaction shots of kids and gushing women who adore this months muscle man of course guys are going to revolt. Anybody could have seen this coming but they kept doing it anyway. Sorry ladies, wrestling may be a soap opera but it is still a MALE oriented soap opera.

I think all of you are making some valid points. IN this day and age where boy bands and glitter guys are shoved in our faces it sparks resentment from the male fans. Having Cena pushed past guys like Jericho and Christian who are obviously MORE talented and well respected in every catagory, you create resentment from the long time fans. If you alter the guys gimmick where he doesn't do what he used to do that got him over in the first place TADA resentment again. What does it leave you with. Kids and chicks. Which if I remember right isn't wrestlings core demographic. You can see why they get drowned out in the battle chants. The flip side to the arguement that the fans are just trying to get themselves over is that they are resisting the booking direction. Which makes sense since the booking isn't for them all the while still pretending to be a wrestling show. Is it any wonder why guys like Jericho and Christian jump ship? Shouldn't the crowd be pissed about it? Those guys got run off. The crowd loved those guys and they just HAD to leave. So guys like Cena are going to pay the price. Thing is there is nothing wrong with Cena being a top guy. But if this were 89 style booking it would have been THIS year that Cena would have finally eased into the title picture. The fans would be more comfortable with him and there wouldn't be nearly the kind of backlash against him for at least another 2 years. Cena would have earned his spot more apparently as it wouldn't be such an insult to the other guys who had been there, doing it better, for longer.

Fun little action flick with some surprisingly funny overdubbed voice acting. I bought it on a whim since I had money to burn that day and I lucked out. Good stuff. "You'll never hit me with a bullet that slow."
-
I agree. I need to be more or less of something.
-
My bad I guess.

Is this for real or just sarcasm?
