Anya owns it, I do believe, and personally vouches that it's great, and the PS3 version is better than 360. It just suffers from short campaign length (6 hours). How so? Better graphics, smoother framerate, and more players online.

I'm in the Tooth Fairy contest. Vote for Thoth!

No, sadly, at least not through component, and I don't believe the new bundles with HDMI do either. Anyone know if the 360 HD-DVD player upconverts standard DVD's? Additionally, and I may have asked this before, how does it connect, both to the Xbox and the TV? I'm pretty sure it just connects to the 360. I'm under the impression that it plugs into the 360, and then you just use your 360's video and audio out connectors. Must be a switch or something to go from HD-DVD to 360 game mode. This is correct, but there's no "switch" per se. When you have an HD-DVD plugged in, you can select, on the menu, which drive you want to load the disc from.

I would say around 18 months from the day of release, although this fluctuates based on popularity of the title. For example, Fight Night Round 3 is offline for PSP and Xbox, but still online for PS2, Xbox 360, and PS3. Since the PS3 version came out after the other versions, I think it will go offline later than others, but could still go at the same time if it is significantly unpopular. Madden 06 just shut down two months ago, so at minimum, you have ten more months of Madden 07.

For those who care, Valve has said they're going to add achievements for Half Life 2 and HL2 Episode 1, and for CS: Source and DoD: Source. Interestingly, they go on to say they will be adding new achievements for TF2, starting with a "Medic Achievement Pack". I hope that in the future, if they decide to go with a point system ala Xbox Live, that Valve themselves set the point values for achievements. If they don't, we could get another situation like Avatar.

I got the Wii Zapper, and I could not agree more that the trigger needs a spring. That aside, I enjoyed Link's Crossbow Training... after I turned the speed of the cursor way down.

Okay, I'll assume that's true. My issue is how to do it from there. When I inserted my USB drive, I didn't see any option to copy the files from the USB drive to my 360 harddrive. That was using a USB drive, though - I haven't tried it with a CD. If I insert a CD, will it automatically give me the option to rip the music from the disc? Cause that's my problem. I don't know what I need to do on the 360 to move the files from whatever storage media - a DVD, a CD, a USB drive, etc. - onto the harddrive. Edit: Misread this. There's an option to rip CD.
-
The only way to get music onto your hard drive is to rip CD's.

Wel, I ran in DX9. Performance DOES shoot way up. However, the text was rendering like this: Instead of, say, "Meet Aztec at the Rendezvous point." I got "|||| A|||| |t |he ||||||vo|| p||||."

I just returned my copy back to Gamefly. 24/7 mode is really annoying. I have fatigue. If I want to rest, I lose all my popularity. Stupid.

So who's gonna pay for the new maps? I'm still fairly new to the game, so I'm thinking about waiting until they're free.

LOL WHAT This is a Super Turbo thread. You didn't just say Dhalsim sucks. Dhalsim is the bottom of the top-tier, outclassing the fireball-uppercut types.

I have Gears PC. The stutter is a common issue for many, as you know. Patch is incoming. In the meantime, make sure you have the latest drivers, and if you have vsync on, switch it off for now. I have stutter from time to time myself.

I thought I read somewhere that extra marios don't persist through saved games? Edit: Isn't it funny how natural is says to say extra marios, but like, extra crash's (crash bandicoot) doesn't work, and extra sonics does work, but not as well?

Not ALL Toys R Us. I do have the game now, at any rate.
-
As you may have heard, Toys R Us had issues getting the game in. I still don't have it.
-
Highly doubt that games that didn't have Live before (Halo 1) will have it now.

The PS3 actually, technically, as of firmware 2.0, supports DivX. Just not DivX playback. There are tools for developers to use DivX in their games. DivX playback IS coming soon, though.

I can't wait to see Charles Martinet in his bumblebee suit. That call was CREEPY. Also, next month, the Photo Channel is getting updated. They're dropping mp3 support and adding AAC support. This will later be enforced by a firmware update. This is most likely happening because Nintendo doesn't wanna pay the licensing fees for mp3, and AAC is an open standard.
-
So the big feature in the Fall Update (if it's not DivX support)... is Virtual Console. Halo, Crimson Skies, Indigo Prophecy, and others, for $15 a pop. Apathetic much? Maybe some are more excited than me.

Apparently, if you use DirectX 9 instead of DirectX 10, and keep all the other settings the way they are, the performance improves tremendously. I deleted the demo before I could try this, but I have very good specs and I got destroyed with everything on medium, at 1024x768. I had DX10 on, though.

Or you can reserve the game at TRU, and mosey on in whenever.

They'll probably give us the PSP legends: Slaughter, Neidhart, and Eddie.

Disregard this message, it was a lie.
