Why would they? The teams you mentioned gets the most profit, because most of the media outlets focus on them instead. The more TV time they get, the more profit they get. So in Canada, every single Leaf game is televised towards a large auidence, and since that is true, Leafs get more profit than any other Canadian team. Just like the states, Colorado, Detroit, New York are usually shown across a large audience, and gets more of a national coverage compaired to San Jose, Tampa, Boston, Chicago, etc.

no it wasn't. Even though not a "great moment" but Moore's death could have been listed instead.

I think "You Know You're Right" was a nice indiction of where Nirvana was going to go. A little more rock based then punk based. I just found that song very annoying, especially his vocals, and really, would it really matter if Kurt didn't die, I mean most likely the band would have faded away, and he probably would have died of an overdose.

what was ESPN's rating on that issue? in the 70's? I'm sure TSN could have think of something else.

Players like these finally have the balls to actually say something. Going to play in Europe does not prove anything towards the league. You know, people (Canadians) would want to see stars, like Commodore, Dagenies, Ryder, Sedin, Bergeron, Smyth, etc. instead of players like Bure, Jagr, Bondra, Lindross, Hull, Federov, because players making less money, play for the game, not just for the money, and greed. It's players like those who has ruined the game, as money was more important to the actual game. They can play in Europe for all I care, and I don't care if they ever come back. I don't think Commodore would be out of a job if the NHL loses six teams, because when you have players making $7.5 million that would quit or play for Europe, be gone. I'd take a bunch of players who play for the game, instead of players who are concerned with their ego's and paycheques instead.

Guy Lafleur said it best, when the league should declare bankrupt and should start over with 24 teams or so.

It's like having Hendrix opening up for the Monkees, or Metallica playing on the same bill as Phil Collins...

I got tickets to see them on Nov. 16 in Toronto. I think Exodus is only playing in certain gigs, while Earshot on the rest of the tour. As for Exodus. They are one of the forefathers of thrash metal, and a big cult band around the bay area during the time. Almost any thrash metal band at the time, look towards them as a major influence.

Survey Sees 100,000 Civilian Deaths in Iraq
Red Baron replied to Red Baron's topic in Current Events
Reading it through a second time, it seemed like INXS did write this article. -
Nothing wrong with cussing. And if some one pisses you off, use mace. They'll think twice.
-
I found this intriguing, but I'm not going to pull an INXS here and say all this far left wing bullshit on this is the reason why Americans shouldn't be in Iraq, blah blah blah. I'm sure Mike will find 10,000 links and picking apart this article like a vulture, and say some right-wing rant why these 100,000 deaths were justified.
-
I can see INXS saying that this would happen, and the Republicans will win because of this.

Maybe its telling you, that its not a good song, and it doesn't want you to download the song.

Somehow, my liking of power metal is the reason why it's not a 4.

Nightwish is also another European metal band that makes it big in Europe and not a dent in NA, though the "similarities" between them and Evenesense helped a bit.

For X-Box users, have you ever noticed that sometimes you go out of bounds, that the clock still runs.

Pitchfork is horrible. Sorry but if it doesn't sound like Radiohead, or Tom Waits, don't expect an album past 7. That's the jist of it.

In every genre of music, there are good mainstream acts, and then you have the bands banking on the image. Some bands play that type of music, and it takes years for people to take notice, and until people finally notice whats going on, the market becomes oversaturated with that type of style. Nu-Metal has bands such as Sevendust, Godsmack, Deftones, Disturbed, who have had some reasonable success, and talent, was not noticed, till Staind, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach have had number one singles, and albums. When these bands got succesful, people start noticing the other bands, who doesn't get as much success, but people are listening to them. What happens is, when a band signed is to that label, and makes big cash, other labels will find a band with the similar type of image and sound, make it a bit different, and cash in on it.

Well, Canada is the 53rd state in the eyes of Americans, and Baseball is an American game.
