  2. 81 posts so far and my favourite Beatles song still hasn't been mentioned yet.
  3. Out of those three, Cowboys from Hell, but I recommend, "Hollow", "Floods" and "I'm Broken" I thought you don't like Pantera, Corey? Or was it just Dimebag?

  5. No its not. What is all this talk about Sundin to the Habs? I'm sure we can call the Canadiens the European Union right now.
  6. The woman puts either Ranch or Caesar dressing on her potatoes. Nuts to that I say.
  7. Surnames!? We're talking surnames here?!

Ugh, not the Turks. I hope Germany wipes the floor with them.
  9. Considering Montreal gave away their picks for Tanguay, what a steal. Oh King, you are going to love Drew Doughty. Kid is a stud.
  10. St. Louis acquired Chris Mason from Nashville for a fourth round pick and traded away Jamal Myers to Toronto for a third round draft pick.
  11. Surname: Simon Recorded in over one hundred surname spellings throughout Europe, this interesting surname is of pre- written historical origins. It ultimately derives from the Hebrew personal name Shimeon, meaning "one who harkens". The surname forms include Simon, Simco, Simcoe, Simko (English), Simeon, Siomon, Schimon (Jewish), Simeoni (Italian), Si, Sias, and Simao (German and Polish), Schimann (Czech), Ziemen (Prussian), and the national diminutives and patronymics such as Simonson, (England), Simonett (France), Simonetti (Italy), Siaspinski and Siaskowski (Polish-German) Ziemke (German), Ziemecki (Slavonic), Semeniuk (Ukraine), and many, many, others. In England the name generally takes the form of Simon, partly as a result of association with the pre-existing Greek byname from "simos", meaning snub-nosed. The first European recording of Simon as a personal name is probably that of Simonus, a monk, in the register of St. Benets, Holme Abbey, Norfolk, England, in the year 1134. The surname first appears in the latter half of the 13th Century (see below), and includes Pieter Ziemke of Hamburg, Germany, in 1289, and William Simon in the Calendar of Letter Books of the City of London in 1292. Other recordings from medieval times include Ernest Symers of Bremen, Germany, in 1262, and Tomas Symcoke of Staffordshire in 1395. The first recorded spelling of the family name is shown to be that of John Simond. This was dated 1273, in the Hundred Rolls of Oxfordshire, during the reign of King Edward 1st, known as "The Hammer of the Scots", 1272 - 1307. Throughout the centuries, surnames in every country have continued to "develop" often leading to astonishing variants of the original spelling.
  12. For me, Hey Jude is one of my least favourite Beatles song. The ending just kills it for me.
  13. It would help them to not bring in guys like David Eckstein and Shannon Stewart and Marco Scutaro. I know there've been injuries, but would it hurt to try and find someone who can actually get the ball to the outfield every once in a while? I think the Jays should just spend the money and get Bonds as a DH. I mean all those service fees I pay for Rogers should go into something.
  14. My favourite song has not been mentioned yet in this thread.
  15. Still I don't believe that Tampa is going to draft Stamkos. I believe they are going to trade their pick for someone real good.
  16. It makes sense as you can draft Doughty or Pieterlangelo for defence and in the situation Pittsburgh is in, it is a very logical move.
  17. I would have guessed that both Banky and Edwin favourite Beatles song would have been Hey Jude.
  18. The ending of the Jays/Brewers game was unreal. AJ Burnett needs to go and they gotta have a power hitter. They threw away Thomas and Johnson for nothing in return and it is showing.

I was kinda hoping that Romania would win as I hate both France and Italy. Germany winning over Portugal makes me $20 richer.
  20. After my drive across half of Canada and Calgary was the cheapest with 128.9-133.5 a litre.
  21. I'm somewhat excited about it. I've checked out some of the Mission: Metallica shit they have on YouTube, and a couple of the demo snippets that play sound like pure Kill 'Em All-era shit. I'm looking forward to at least seeing if the songs are even, you know, decent rock as opposed to decent metal. Yeah, I've been following those clips as well and I've been pleasantly surprised with it thus far. And according to some reviews from a listening party, the songs on the album are structured much like those on Justice. So halfway decent then with no bass at all?
  22. How can you not call Tiger the greatest athlete of ou...oh wait, you don't play golf, so you wouldn't understand.
