My brother has the Vader shirt, I think he bought it somewhere in London.
  2. The Sens need to wear those black sweaters again.
  3. Oh, and 'We didn't do anything illegal. Except knock over some mailboxes with her friends.'
  4. John Sterling sounds so depressed. It's funny. He sounds like he wants to kill himself, talking about how well A-Rod's doing defensively this year. 'He's really throwing the ball well.'
  5. It gets a laugh, like, a quarter of the time.
  6. Jays/Yankees are cancelled tonight. Not sure what this means about Phil Hughes tomorrow, though.
  7. Gregg Zaun broke his thumb and is out for 6-8 weeks. So Jason Phillips and Sal Fasano are the Jays catchers!
  8. Those were the only 2 games, now they get to play the Yankees.

    Pop quiz

I thought this was really funny last night.
  10. Only got 2 series wrong. Of course, they were my picks to go all the way to the Finals, too.
  11. What's the schedule? I assume there's an Eastern game Tuesday night. I pick Ottawa, Buffalo, San Jose, and Vancouver for no real reason.
  12. Nevermind.
  13. Canucks just can't buy a goal. It's almost funny.

  15. I don't even really hate the Sens, I just would never hear the end of it from my dad if they won, so I need them to lose.
  16. I'll never be able to see my dad again if the Sens even get to the Finals, let alone win. And I can still cheer for Calgary and Vancouver (for now, at least) to do it for the country.
  17. There's really no potential Eastern final that I want to see. Two teams that I don't care about (Rangers, Devils) and two teams that I can't cheer for (Sabres, Sens), awesome.
  18. The Jays hitters haven't had a good game in over a week now. It's really frustrating since most of the time the starting pitching has been really good (they didn't have a bad start, really, since Burnett's start last Saturday against the Tigers until today), but either they can't get enough runs and/or the bullpen blows it. Hopefully Glaus is back soon, he was actually hitting well when he went down, as opposed to most everyone else in the line-up.
  19. Thomas is still getting on base at a decent clip for someone who's average is so low, too. Thankfully my pitching has been great so far, because my hitting is still really spotty. Didn't help that I didn't get any production out of 3B and hardly any out of one of my OF slots due to injury. I'm open to some trade offers for one of my starters for some offensive help.
  20. I guess my prediction of the Ryan injury only costing the Jays a game or 2 was off a little, as they probably win at least one of these last 2 games if he's in there. This is getting frustrating, especially since the last game they won, they probably should have lost.

    HDTV

We can't get NGCHD here unless we subscribe to the regular National Geographic channel. A&E is pointless, pretty much nothing besides CSI: Miami is in HD.
  22. Was that the season finale?
  23. 'Oh no, he's a war vet. We're going to have to give him some change!' I loved the homeless expert fucking up trying to kill himself.
  24. I know I'm probably over-reacting, but they hadn't scored more than 2 runs in a game (until today) since Saturday (though they did face some pretty good pitchers in that stretch). I really like Lind, but they seemed to be losing something having Rios in there at lead-off. It just seemed like everyone was comfortable where they were in the line-up before the injuries and maybe they were just taking some time getting used to being moved around.
  25. I think the Reed Johnson injury might be the one that hurts the Jays the most in the long run. I love BJ Ryan, but I don't think over the course of how long he's supposed to be out that it'll hurt the team more than 2 or 3 wins, if that, assuming the rest of the bullpen pitches about as well as they've pitched so far. And losing Glaus's power sucks, but in theory, Wells, Thomas, and Overbay should be able to pick up the slack there (even if they really haven't so far), and he's not supposed to be out for very long, anyway. The hitters just aren't getting anything going, though. Johnson was hitting pretty well before he went down and Rios just doesn't seem to hit as well in the lead-off spot as opposed to lower in the order (he hadn't gotten on base since Saturday until he had a double in today's game). Thank God the starters have been great the last time through the rotation (save for Burnett's start against the Tigers), or they'd be in the middle of a huge, probably season ending-before-it-could-get-going losing streak. EDIT: Well, Rios just hit a big home run to give the Jays the lead, so what do I know.
