I've heard it's either Hillenbrand and Vinnie Chulk for Jeremy Accardo, or just Hillenbrand for Accardo and Todd Linden. Apparently it's the first one. Good trade, since (I think) they're dumping Hillenbrand's salary here so they have a little more flexibility if they want to add someone at the deadline.

Hey, assuming the Red Sox keep beating Seattle, the Jays will be closer to the wild card than 1st in the East for the first time in a long time.

Well, I think this is it for the Jays season. Unless they can sweep the Yanks and the Sox completely fall off the table, their playoff chances seem to be out the window. I hope I'm wrong, though. Gonna suck, though, knowing if things turn out the way they are now, they'll be better than about half the teams that end up making the playoffs.

If you're going to have Rusty Staub and Gary Carter on the 'Nationals' list, how can you have Brian Schnieder on there but not Vlad Guerrero? And, unless the teams on the top there have a 5th guy that got cut off (which I think might be the case), Carlos Delgado should be on the Jays list.

He said during the game on Saturday he asked some team about a 'fringe pitcher' and they asked for Rios back. I think that article is a few days old, though. But even then, they were a whopping 4.5 games back.

I just hope TBS doesn't just show all the same teams that Fox and ESPN do.

One of those call-in prayer shows last night said that kids are killing themselves because they think there's nothing to live for since they're being taught that they've evolved from pond scum.

Have they said who's starting in his place? I know Ordonez is replacing him on the roster, but I don't think they've said he'll be in the starting line-up in Manny's place.
