  1. That makes two people I beat off to who have died since I started beating off to them.
  2. @ Fentz - Show me threads about other people with jokey word-play based names and I'll say the same thing about them. I wasn't referring to any thread, just the names, man. Go over the member list No, you were referring to the fact that of all the jokey names on the board I call you out on yours. But the thread is ABOUT you. Should I talk about other peoples' names in this thread? Also, don't flirt with me via emoticon.
  3. Jake Roberts' Wrestlemania VI promo.
  4. @ Fentz - Show me threads about other people with jokey word-play based names and I'll say the same thing about them.
  5. I don't like his name. Jokey word-play names more often than not suck.
  6. Damn you, I needed him to go with Bergman.
  7. Ooh, that IS nice.
  8. See, that I could watch and it probably wouldn't bug me. It just seems like one could have a perfectly reasonable debate/discussion/talk/whatever on the subject without calling anything stupid. And it's not like I have no sense of humor on the subject. Religion more than most things is rife to be joked about. Maher just comes off smarmy and judgmental about it. The Jewish Holocaust Denier sounds just interesting enough to get me to catch this on cable though. EDIT: Okay, I saw Maher on the Daily Show and he came off a lot better than he has before.
  9. Yeah, religion being thrust on people sucks, but it's the thrusting that's the issue, not them believing something. And the good points that Maher does make only frustrates me more. He DOES have completely valid things to say on the subject and he's a funny comedian. But then he takes those points and jokes and extrapolates them to "See? People who believe in God are so dumb!"
  10. *shrug* Believe what you like, it doesn't affect me one way or the other. I just don't tend to want to see movies that tell me I'm an idiot for arbitrary reasons. It's a stupid thing to be judgmental about in either direction.
  11. I'm not a fan of Maher's religious thing. I don't have a problem with making fun of religion, and a lot of organized religion especially, but a lot of times he seems to just be saying that people who are anything but athiests are idiots or crazy.
  12. Going from contemporary actors to older ones, here's someone who does fantastic work with one of my directors. Klaus Kinski The guy did Count Orlock about as good as Max Schreck did. That should say enough.
  13. And that's all that really matters. I thought it was funny too, I was just mad because I was going to say that exact same thing.
  14. I don't argue with women a lot, but I still win. None of that "make them feel like shit" or "make her believe she's wrong" jarble. Just confuse the hell out of them. And I can't really think of a time I've thought any women were funny since the 1930's.
  15. Agreed. Without spoiling anything (it isn't a major plot development), there's a character in the movie who was blind all his life, and is referred to as "like a superhero in this place." The more I think back, the less I liked the movie. Glad I didn't pay for the ticket.
  16. Well, a guy goes blind before Ruffalo and goes to see him. If it's contagious, it makes sense for Ruffalo to get it. By the way, the movie was just under alright. I give 'em points for trying to be fancy with the visuals by just over or under exposing, but it just didn't look that good. And a big fuck you to the movie for that ending.
  17. I'm seeing it tonight, it looks good.
  18. Sorry 'bout that. Final director pick: Elia Kazan Frankly, this late in the draft I'd consider Kazan an absolute steal. I guess everybody else on the board hates name-namers. EDIT: And yeah, Ron, not getting a PM sucks, doesn't it?
  19. Control the media.
  20. Pics or it didn't happen.
  21. I dunno about Michael Cera playing himself in this one. There are some instances where his self-playing comes in, but I think this is at least a little departure from Superbad and Juno for him. Not a lot, but it's a start.
  22. Saw this a week or so ago. I didn't care for the bits of gross-out humor (the gum) and a bit at the end seemed off to me, but otherwise I thought it was fantastic.
  23. Neko Case puts on an awesome concert. Not as good as The Swell Season but still good.
  24. Best performance on the series = Jack Coleman. Though for the short time she was on it, Nora Zehetner was really good, too.
