  1. The PPV gets two thumbs up from me, I enjoyed it from top to bottom.
  2. So is this the OAO thread? Christian is going to make an impact tonight on the PPV, so says he.
  3. I just saw impact, and I have got to say that was one of the most depressing and saddest things ever.
  4. Yeah, a cheap Cyberhome player is great, it's what I use. They go on sale just about everywhere all the time, for around $25-$35 or so.
  5. That doesn't take away from the, what many people considers a fact, that it's still an entertaining horror film. I know it doesn't fit in at all, but it's still a pretty cool movie. It took a while for me to even admit that also though.
  6. Yeah, I doubt we'll ever have one in R1, and if we do it'll be a long time. If you simply have to have a box set of the films, go for the R2 set. It's not perfect, but it's pretty solid. A few of the films have special features that aren't on the R1 discs (like a commentary on Halloween 3 which is pretty interesting). http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B...9018906-8701461
  7. Hulk Hogan vs. Mr. T Wrestlemania I Main Event Is this a DVD of wrestling matches from an alternate reality or something? Just like most of the special WWE DVD releases, I'll be picking this one up also.
  8. They signed Juvy, Super Crazy, AND Psicosis? If so, that match must happen indeed. How are those three these days? I haven't seen their work in a long time.
  9. I can't help but wonder if Juvy and Super Crazy will somehow get involed in this. LWO 2005?
  10. You aren't reading mine wrong. A Hogan/HBK pairing is nothing more than a novelty act. The least the match will do is just be a cool moment for the year 2005, and the most that the match will do is lead to a Hogan/HBK one on one match. Still, the tag match itself is just to get the Hogan fans, like me, who'll buy just about any PPV with Hogan on it, all the while seemingly making it look that much more important by teaming Hogan with HBK for the first time ever. It's a Hogan vs. evil foreigners match, like we've seen tons of times before, but the fans are into it. It's just something for the fans, nothing more really. Just because something is a novelty act, does not mean that it's a bad thing. We've had plenty of novelt act matches over the years, many that people really enjoyed.
  11. Exactly, it's all good and whatever, just to have two great wrestlers having a pretty cool storyline and then good matches, but I like for there to be a reason behind everything that's happening. I know we haven't had much of that in the past few years, but still, it's how I like it. Why are they fighting? What is is leading to? Why now and not months ago? Most of the best storylines, in my opinion, have had reasoning behind them.
  12. I'm into this feud and all that, but tell me just what the point is, other than "just something for them to do". It just seems pointless to me at this point in time, that's all. I wouldn't be surprised to see Eddie tell Rey AND Chavo to piss off, leading to his going to RAW to somewhat start over.
  13. I got the call and the email today. I think the Backlash card is one of the best of the past year or so, not even counting Hogan being on it. We have two matches that could be straight up awesome, a solid main event, the Hogan/HBK novelty act, a big man match that I'm actually interested in seeing, and a tag team termoil match to round things out.
  14. Ok, I didn't think this sounded normal. Somewhere, someone fucked up big time, have it be a dirty scapel or whatever. This is just way too fast of a death.
  15. I did one last refresh before bed also and this is what I see. Sadly I'm not too familiar with his work. I know him mainly for his work in the WWF, and even more specifically his feud with Barry Horowitz. Other than his WWF stint, I remember just a little bit of him in ECW, but since I couldn't watch much of that before it was on TNT, I didn't see much of him there. I still remember the first time I saw him show up in WWF though. He was a solid worker, had a rough time in the business for a good while, but had cleaned himself up before he passed, and to me that's the good news we can take from this. I'm glad he had a chance to get clean. Can someone explain more in detail just what exactly led to his death? What happened at the PPV?
  16. In my mind the belt JBL has is STILL the WWE title. John Cena just simply doesn't say "WWE Champion" to me yet, not yet.
  17. JBL is the best heel character in years, and his matches have been WAY better than I think any of us thought they would be. I'd rather him still be the champ over Cena.
  18. Yeah, but for those without XBL now have an option. I'd like to see sites post scores for this game now that a fix, or at least something of a fix, has been released.
  19. It's bad when this quote is from one of the "fresh" reviews: This film is like watching a feature-length trailer? That's one of the worst things that can be said about a film in my opinion.

  21. This game is taking its toll on Japan. Jade Empire

I thought this game was totally a turn-based RPG. Is that completely wrong? That's the only reason I haven't touched this one yet.
  23. This was such shocking news I thought I could start a thread just about it. I believe only four other games in history have received a perfect score from Famitsu, and this magazine gose back all the way to the original Famicom in Japan. A handheld has never received a perfect score, until now. http://ds.advancedmn.com/article.php?artid=1832 I thought this game looked pretty interesting, but now I just might be sold. On a side note, I picked up Pac-Pix today. I've only played it for a few minutes, but so far I'm very glad I bought it. The game is exacly how I thought it would be, and that's a good thing. Sincerely, ...Downhome...
  24. A young Terry Funk? A current Tammy Lynn Sytch?
  25. You can't be serious. Hulk Hogan will ALWAYS be a draw. Maybe not long term (then again, no one in wrestling is a long term draw at this point), but for the shows where he "returns"? Of course people will pay to see that. Over that last few times Hogan has return, I know people who haven't watched wrestling since the early 90's who ordered the PPVs he was wrestling on, just because he was going to be wrestling just "one more time".
