I wish Bret would return, but instead of being a face like everyone expects if he comes out and totally puts down the Canadian fans telling them to get over the bullshit, then invites HBK, Vince, and Heb into the ring as they all hold hands. That would just make my day. Stevie!!!!
-
Ah yes, the Canadians do not let us down.
-
And yet that segment was pretty damn funny True, I actually enjoyed it a bit. It still doesn't make the storyline any better. I can't remember the last time they took the fans as total morons as they are doing with this one.
-
This is possibly the worst storyline ever.
-
Then years down the road in the WWE future they bring the angle back.
-
WrestleCrap, calling WrestleCrap...WWE wants you right now.
-
It'd be funny as hell if they started booking Benoit really strong both inside and outside of the ring, as well as on the mic, now that he's not the champ.
-
WTF, not even a swerve by Bishoff or some shit? I didn't expect this at all.
-
I can't believe they have booked Benoit to come out and even be in the same ring with Orton once again. I didn't expect this.
-
Loved the Orton/Cactus footage.
-
I know it can't happen, but I wonder what the reaction would be if Brock Lesnar came out right now, heh.
-
I'm glad I jumped on the Orton bandwagon months ago.
-
The left is just so classy nowadays.

I was listening to that today, and it pushed me over the edge. I couldn't believe the way that bitch was talking. Well, I could believe it, you know what I mean. These people do shout "peace peace peace", but when it comes to this convention many refuse to do the shouting of the same concept. Yes, attacking innocent people, breaking windows, putting the law enforcement officials and possibly millions more in danger is really helping your cause.
-
Not anywhere near to this extent. The way people are talking right now over this is just down right insane. I can't believe how some of them are going at this, people who are LEADERS of some of the major groups, refusing to straight up say that violence will be a bad thing and that it shouldn't be done. The hatred for John Kerry wasn't there at the DNC as it is for the upcoming RNC, it's not even in the same ball park.

Here lately on various news networks and radio talk shows and whatever the topic has started to focus more and more on the upcoming Republican National Convention, and for good reason as it stars up pretty soon. Anyway, I've heard interview after interview from various people who are planning on a huge protest in NYC while the convention is going on. We all know that these people are just flat ouf full of hate right now, hate for Bush, the war, and whatever else. Hell, many here share that line of thought, and that's fine. Still, as the conversations with these people go forward they usually get to the topic of just how they plan to protest. They usually say they'll do whatever they can to get the point across. When asked if they are going to do so peacefully and within the boundaries of the law, they simply do not talk about it. Many people, leaders of groups, just flat out refuse to say that they are going to do the right thing and refrain from hurting people, innocent people, the various law enforcement officials who are going to be on hand, and others in such positions. Is this Bush hating deal seriously worth hurting innocent people over? I know little about this, but I heard something where they have been having a hard time getting permits for the protests, but many say that they don't care, and that they'll simply do whatever the hell they want, have it be simply protesting, or being violent and breaking windows, and hurting people. Here we have the Republican National Convention coming up, terror warnings going up every which way for this time period, and having all of these people coming in here, a million or so people, running around acting like morons with no respect for the law or law enforcement officials, it seems to me like this could be a huge ass mess, and could put many of people in danger. Is it really worth hurting people over? Is it really worth putting millions of people at risk just to make a statement? Why in the hell can't they just say what they want to say without getting in such a mindset of lawlessness? Do any of you guys support such bullshit? I just don't understand this. Sincerely, ...Downhome...

It will eventually end, that's something good.

I think HHH would do fine controlling the company, but that's just me. Sure he'd play favorites here and there, sure he'd piss off a lot of people, but it's no different from any other wrestling company ever. HHH seems to really respect history, he seems to really love the industry. I'd rather HHH be over it than plenty of other guys, and defiantly over business people who don't know shit about the industry.
-
Exactly, he's one smart guy and knows how to get what he wants. I don't hold this against HHH at all.
-
Here is a bit more from PWInsider.

If true, and I have no reason to doubt it, then my hat is off to HHH.

Once again, this isn't complicated. These workers put their wellbeing at risk when we watch them in the ring, especially on nights when people are working very hard such as tonight. To go ape shit and to shit all over them for no reason, is pointless and is disrespecful. It's obviously ok to boo things when you don't like them, that's going to happen, but to have it go on for hours is just being an ass hole. These people didn't care about the matches, some of which were great, that were going on, they just didn't. If they have a problem with the company, buying tickets to go to a show and then buying other WWE items or whatever will do nothing to Vince even if you go there to boo everything. He makes his buck, then moves to another town where the odds that people will go insane like they did tonight are very low. They didn't make a point, they just looked like assholes, and it'll be forgotten soon. Had they hit him in the wallet, it would not have gone forgotten. Imagine if they didn't sell a lot of tickets and the building hardly had anyone in it. Imagine if hardly no WWE items were sold. Imagine if that went on from town to town, Vince would go insane. That is how the fans can change things, now by doing what we saw tonight. All they did was show their asses and piss off a lot of hard workers, regardless of who they were. That's all I'll say on this, because quite frankly it pissed me off a lot and there isn't anymore else I can say about it. That and I don't feel like going around in a circle as we do here so offten. So that's my line, it's how I feel.
-
Ah yes, yet another well thought out post. When you have guys busting their ass to try and put on a good show, with what they have been given and then the fans boo like hell, not at any one specific thing but instead just about EVERYTHING, that is indeed being disrespectuful to the workers. If fans want to make a statement towards the booking, you must do so where it will hurt Vince and Co., that being in the money bags. I don't see how this is that hard to understand. These fans weren't trying to make a point though, they didn't give a shit that everyone was actually trying to put on a show. They all just wanted to look like a bunch of smartasses and whatnot. Had they wanted to make a point, they would have hit vince in the wallet, but they did not.
-
Its carried by somebody who doesn't deserve it. Even if you think that, or even if it is true, it doesn't mean the title should just be tossed in the trash. The title has done fine this year, and most have warmed up to JBL. Whoever does beat the guy is going to look very good, so I see no problem.
-
I look at it in the sense that for most of the night the fans looked to just be doing what they were doing it, just for the hell of it without any good reason. I can understand them crapping on the diva shit, and even other few things, but the entire show basicly? They made it sound like it was the worst show ever in wrestling, and it wasn't. As if they thought it was cool to do this and that, boo for this guy, etc... It didn't seem to me like they were trying to make some huge statement to Vince or anything. Besides, shitting on an entire show wont do anything to Vince. They paid their money for tickets, the next town WWE goes in will be back to "normal", so I doubt Vince cares too much for the long term. And yes I know these people didn't buy their tickets knowing the entire card, but when the tickets went on sale WWE was pretty much in the same little grove. Stop buying tickets if you want to make a statement, stop buying WWE products, and that's what'll get you heard...not acting like a bunch of smart asses in the crowd. Besides, when you have these wrestlers in the ring working hard, and it looked to me like pretty much everyone was busting ass tonight, and then you as a fan shit all over it without giving anything a chance, it IS disrespectfull. Shitting on these guys working hard isn't hurting Vince, he's had his pay day. It's just being disrespectful to the workers, while they are working. Again, tonights show was not a bad show, I've seen plenty of worse shows in my life. Hell, I've seen worse shows this YEAR.
