I'm not so much surprised that we *beat* the Mavs, I'm surprised we beat them with Jermaine O'Neal having a subpar game.
-
Charlie Ward signed with the Spurs for the veteran's minimum.

Yeah, I can't believe I didn't mention that one. Hell, you could take just about any call from that whole quarter and put it in this thread. Also, more beauties from the Pacers/Knicks, this time the 1994 ECF game 7, all in the final minute: Dale Davis dunks to give us the lead and is fouled by Ewing (which would have been 6), no call. A while later, Ewing dunks a Starks miss, which is clearly basket interference, giving them the lead back. And to top it all off, when Reggie tries to intentionally put Starks on the line, he gets hit with a flagrant to ensure that no pesky small-market team from the midwest makes the finals. It's all good though...Mr. 2-18 in NBA Finals Game 7 would pay with *his* tears later on.

Aren't those the cookies that babies eat?

96 points, as I had Mobley, Yao and KG, but got a below average night from Randolph and of course Steph fucks me over. 1/10: PG: Jamal Crawford SG: Ronald Murray SF: Kevin Garnett PF: Tim Duncan C: Jermaine O'Neal Coach: Eddie Jordan (but ONLY so I could get to exactly 100 with the current five players)
-
83 last night as Boozer gives me 5 and Nash, McGrady, and Marion combine to shoot 20-59. 1/9: PG: Jason Kidd SG: Ray Allen SF: Shareef Abdur-Rahim PF: Zach Randolph C: Jermaine O'Neal Coach: Maurice Cheeks
-
My top ten at each position: PG: 1. Jason Kidd 2. Sam Cassell 3. Stephon Marbury 4. LeBron James 5. Baron Davis 6. Steve Nash 7. Mike Bibby 8. Andre Miller 9. Gary Payton 10. Steve Francis SG: 1. Tracy McGrady 2. Kobe Bryant 3. Paul Pierce 4. Allen Iverson 5. Ray Allen 6. Latrell Sprewell 7. Michael Finley 8. Eddie Jones 9. Michael Redd 10. Vince Carter SF: 1. Kevin Garnett 2. Shawn Marion 3. Dirk Nowitzki 4. Peja Stojakovic 5. Andrei Kirilenko 6. Ron Artest 7. Jamal Mashburn 8. Lamar Odom 9. Shareef Abdur-Rahim 10. Rashard Lewis PF: 1. Tim Duncan 2. Jermaine O'Neal 3. Chris Webber 4. Elton Brand 5. Zach Randolph 6. Antoine Walker 7. Pau Gasol 8. Karl Malone 9. Amare Stoudemire 10. Carlos Boozer C: 1. Shaquille O'Neal 2. Ben Wallace 3. Brad Miller 4. Yao Ming 5. Zydrunas Ilgauskas 6. Erick Dampier 7. Vlade Divac 8. Eddy Curry 9. Dikembe Mutombo 10. Marcus Camby If a huge name is missing, I probably just forgot about him.

Well then I should have got 60 points for Jermaine O'Neal being player of the month for December. 95 points last night, as the state of Oregon couldn't legalize pot for one night in order for the Blazers to melt some snow and get people to their game. Luckily for me, my risk of taking Tinsley at the point paid off for me (21 VGMs). My lineup's the same as Cuban's, except I have Marbury at PG. Could be risky, though...Marbury blamed his subpar game last night on being so excited, and that was a road game. I fear how he'll react in his GARDEN debut. But it's a marquee PG matchup on a nationally televised game, and I don't think Francis can guard him, so it's a risk I'm willing to take.

Ward has already been released by the Suns.

Did anyone see the FIGHT~ between K-Mart and Magette?
-
I just read on vh1.com they are replaying the original I Love the 80's series on Jan. 26.
-
Well I post at all of them. Going by that criteria, it's a tie.

Pacers dominate the second half and win in Miami, making it five in a row. Orlando is tonight, so we *should* have great momentum with six straight going into Dallas and San Antonio starting Friday. Orlando did beat us on our home floor last month though, so I'm not taking anything for granted.
-
Well, two nights in a row, I have great nights that are offset by shit nights. 1/5: 116 points (Bryant 43, Bosh 5) 1/6: 135 points (Allen 42, Miller 6) And who the fuck picked Leandro Barbosa? Tonight: PG: Jamaal Tinsley SG: Kobe Bryant SF: Peja Stojakovic PF: Zach Randolph C: Jermaine O'Neal Coach: Rick Adelman Tomorrow: PG: Steve Nash SG: Tracy McGrady SF: Shawn Marion (should have a huge fantasy binge at least until Amare is back) PF: Carlos Boozer C: Brad Miller Coach: Don Nelson (I honestly considered taking Bzdelik against the Lakers, but I don't know for sure if Shaq will be out.)
-
For what it's worth, my votes went to Peja and Zach Randolph.
-
Well, with Marbury now being on the Knicks, he obviously won't be on the West All-Stars. I'll go with Corey Magette in his spot.
-
That 73-9 record ain't lookin too good for the Lakers right now.... They're 21-9 now after losing back to back games to the Sonics and Clippers, and have dropped behind Sacramento in the division. Can the Lakers rebound to win their last 52? TUNE IN TO FIND OUT!
-
Russ Limbaugh would not approve of this. .......... I kid, I kid. Manning should have won it outright, he was 2-0 against McNair, had the better record, the division title, a better pass completion percentage, and let's not forget the Tampa Bay and New Orleans games (led 21-point comeback in five minutes and had a perfect rating, respectively). Also, Tennessee's main newspaper was allowed a vote for MVP, while the Indianapolis Star was not.

95 last night NO thanks to the play of Duncan (7). He shot 3-13 FROM THE GODDAMN FREE THROW LINE. 1/5: PG: Andre Miller SG: Ray Allen SF: Ron Artest PF: Zach Randolph C: Jermaine O'Neal Coach: Rick Carlisle BTW, I doubt if anyone will pick them, but Al Harrington, George Lynch, and Jamaal Magloire were involved in a big brawl in the game last night and all very well could be suspended for their roles.

Watching the Spurs play isn't exactly better than sex, either.
-
Pierce was wearing huge shorts underneath, so it was no big deal. Even as a Pacer fan, it wouldn't have been totally out of line to give Artest a technical, IMHO. Nice to see Miller finally getting a little agressive on offense...13 points in the 4th I believe, and only his second double-digit scoring game in 11 games. We go to Dallas and SA in a week.
-
119 points last night. Garnett had "only" 20 VGMs. My lineup was Cassell, Lenard, KG, Randolph, and O'Neal...and Lenard had the most VGMs with 27. 1/4: PG: Stephon Marbury SG: Kobe Bryant SF: Peja Stojakovic PF: Chris Bosh C: Brad Miller Coach: Terry Porter
