What will be the worst movie of 2009?
Smues replied to Obi Chris Kenobi's topic in Television & Film
Just got back from seeing Knowing. Add it to the pool of contenders. I don't know if I'd rate it worse than Street Fighter, I'll have to give that some thought. No way I watch both of them again anytime soon though, so I'll only be able to judge from the initial viewings. What a pile of crap this film was. I think I'll elaborate later today, I need to go to bed. Phew what a pile of shit though, and I don't forsee 2012 being able to take the title of 'worst end of the world' movie for the year. -
One damn pick from getting Bobby Cox. I'll go Atlanta Braves Turner Field Oh what the fuck why not? Ted Turner

Cremation. And a happy wake is fine. No reason to feel and act all miserable. -
Oh man. Three for Siena with 3.9 left. This game rules.
-
Well unless Florida State gets a miracle here they just cost me my first sweet 16 team. Fuckers.
-
Probably my favorite song from the 90's.

Frankie Frisch

Pitt only up 3 at the half. I highly expect them to make some halftime adjustments and have the game in hand 5 minutes into the 2nd half, but it's nice to see a 16 seed actually putting up a fight.

WrestleMania Roundtable Part Four:2000 to 2004
Smues replied to King Kamala's topic in General Wrestling
Damn our like...2? hours of after chatter got cut You erased our Madden bashing! So Bob, you were at WM20, what's your take on the show as a whole, and on the main event post Benoit killings? -
As much as I'm enjoying watching a 16 seed not get raped for once, that technical on Pitt was bullshit. Hanging on the rim my ass.

I've got Tenn/Ok St, but watching the score up top it looks like ND State hung with them for about 16 minutes of the half, as Kansas seems to be on a run now.

I joined.

Not likely notice unless you were REALLY out of tune, as I'm fairly tone deaf. -

Words to live by. Granted I usually phrase it as 'nothing stops the Grimace!' but it all works the same. -

I don't like Coke, but I do like Cherry Coke. And Cherry Coke Zero is really good, so of course I haven't been able to find it in any stores up here.

UW has no trouble with Mississippi State and it's time for Purdue on Saturday. Go Huskies.

It only took one song for me to hate them. Hearing The Whole World a zillion times when I was in college did it for me. Mostly for the chorus.

Live performance of I Would Do Anything For Love.

Salt-N-Pepa- "Whatta Man" (d. "Seether," 23-8) LT is a mighty fine man! Beck- "Loser" (d. "I Want It That Way," 21-10) Montell Jordan- "This Is How We Do It" (d. "I Don't Want To Wait," 27-4) Goo Goo Dolls- "Iris" (d. "Missing," 24-7) Now that I know what song this is I was never a big fan, but it beats Montell Jordan. The Breeders- "Cannonball" (d. "Mmmbop," 21-10) I'm actually using youtube this round for the ones I don't recognize. After youtubing it I recognize this song, and I like it more than 'Smokin' smokin' sippin' on gin and juice' Snoop Doggy Dogg- "Gin and Juice" (d. "Wicked Game," 24-7) Kris Kross- "Jump" (d. "Who Will Save Your Soul," 20-11) Dee-Lite- "Groove Is In The Heart" (d. "Inside Out," 22-9) Sad it beat Inside Out, but it's still a decent song. Jamiroquai- "Virtual Insanity" (d. "Building a Mystery," 21-10) Warren G. (ft. Nate Dogg)- "Regulate" (d. "Livin La Vida Loca," 26-5) Couldn't name anything else Warren G has done, but I still like it. Notorious B.I.G. (ft. Puff Daddy and Mase)- "Mo Money Mo Problems" (d. "Kiss Me," 22-9) L.L. Cool J- "Mama Said Knock You Out" (d. "Genie In a Bottle," 19-12) Meh Fiona Apple- "Criminal" (d. "End of the Road," 19-12) Weezer- "Buddy Holly" (d. "You Mean The World To Me," 26-4) Daniel son, answer come from inside. Always right. U2- "One" (d. "Dreamlover," 22-9) Fuck Jay-Z Jay-Z- "Can I Get A..." (d. "Tearin' Up My Heart," 21-10)[/color] Nirvana- "Heart Shaped Box" (d. "Smells Like Teen Spirit," 16-15) Fuck Blink 182. Blink 182- "Dammit" (d. "All the Small Things," 21-10) Blur- "Song 2" (d. "Boys and Girls," 17-14) Stone Temple Pilots- "Interstate Love Song" (d. "Plush," 20-11) So I just pulled up Song 2 on Youtube. THAT'S who blur is? Fuck Blur. Smashing Pumpkins- "1979" (d. "Today," 16-15) If I ever heard 1979 before just now I don't remember it. Kiss From a Rose I've heard way too much Seal- "Kiss From a Rose" (d. "Crazy," 19-12) Cranberries- "Linger" (d. "Dreams," 21-10) I think it's the singers accent that gets me. No Doubt- "Don't Speak" (d. "Spiderwebs," 19-12) Alanis Morissette- "You Oughta Know" (d. "Ironic," 24-7) Canadians > old emo kids. Green Day- "Basket Case" (d. "Good Riddance," 19-12) Oasis- "Wonderwall" (d. "Champagne Supernova," 20-11) R.E.M.- "Losing My Religion" (d. "Everybody Hurts," 20-11) Pretend I flipped a coin. Chumbawumba- "Tubthumpin" (d. "Bitch," 19-12) Tom Cochrane- "Life Is a Highway" (d. "Glycerine," 20-11) It was either Donkey Konga or Taiko Drum Master that has Tubtumpin' but changes 'pissin' to 'kissin the night away'. That's pretty lame. Also, i think my wife may own the Tubthumpin album. I need to get those divorce papers in order. Third Eye Blind- "Semi-Charmed Life" (d. "All I Want," 23-8) Blind Melon- "No Rain" (d. "Jealous Again," 24-7) I wonder what the bee girl does these days. TLC- "Waterfalls" (d. "Cryin,'" 17-14) Don't go makin' phony calls. Stick to the seven digit numbers you're used to. Soundgarden- "Black Hole Sun" (d. "My Lovin'," 22-9) MC Hammer- "U Can't Touch This" (d. "Ice Ice Baby," 21-10) I can't believe i'm voting for Hammer again, but here we are. He's really 2 legit 2 quit I guess. Skee-Lo- "I Wish" (d. "In The Meantime," 22-9) Naughty By Nature- "O.P.P." (d. "Shoop," 21-10) DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince- "Summertime" (d. "The Freshmen," 20-11) I guess I'm not down with O.P.P. 2Pac- "California Love" (d. "...Hit Me Baby One More Time," 22-9) Fugees- "Killing Me Softly With His Song" (d. "Wannabe," 23-8) California Love sucks. Dr. Dre (ft. Snoop Doggy Dogg)- "Nuthin But a G Thang" (d. "I Do It For You," 21-10) The Verve- "Bittersweet Symphony" (d. "One Week," 22-9) Pretend I flipped a coin. Or that I care about either. Beastie Boys- "Sabotage" (d. "Good," 26-5) The Cardigans- "Lovefool" (d. "Two Princes," 16-15) I hope Sabotage wins, but I had to vote for Lovefool for pathetic reasons. The Offspring- "Self Esteem" (d. "Give Me One Reason," 21-10) Out Eagle-Eye Cherry, out. Eagle-Eye Cherry- "Save Tonight" (d. "Runaway Train," 16-15) Semisonic- "Closing Time" (d. "Walking In Memphis, 24-7) Red Hot Chili Peppers- "Under the Bridge" (d. "Shine," 24-7) It's only closing time for Semisonic. Radiohead- "Creep" (d. "Mr. Jones," 23-8) Like I'm going to vote for Outkast. Outkast- "Rosa Parks" (d. "Lump," 20-11) Pearl Jam- "Evenflow" (d. "Low," 23-8) No way Butthead, Pearl Jam is cool, they're from Seattle. Oh yeah! New Radicals- "You Get What You Give" (d. "All I Wanna Do," 24-7) Pras (ft. Maya and ODB)- "Ghetto Superstar" (d. "One of Us," 24-7) Somethings do compare 2 U. Sinead O'Connor- "Nothing Copares 2 U" (d. "Counting Blue Cars," 23-8) Nada Surf- "Popular" (d. "I Touch Myself," 16-15) Faith No More- "Epic" (d. "Sex and Candy," 20-11) Youtube reveals that I've never heard Popular but I do recognize Epic. Popular sounds like I wouldn't have liked it anyway. [Jim Rome] EHHHHHHHHPPIIICCCCCC[/Jim Rome] Guns N Roses- "November Rain" (d. "More Than Words," 26-5) Lisa Loeb- "Stay (I Missed You)" (d. "Tennessee," 19-12) And you say...STAY! Hootie and the Blowfish- "I Only Wanna Be With You" (d. "Santa Monica," 22-9) Gotta keep voting Hootie, they did a cover of Kornheiser's mailbag song. Ben Folds Five- "Brick" (d. "Flagpole Sitta," 20-11) Garbage- "I'm Only Happy When It Rains" (d. "The Way," 19-12) Gin Blossoms- "Hey Jealousy" (d. "Back That Azz Up," 18-13) Youtube reveals I've only heard the Gin Blossoms one. Foo Fighters- "Everlong" (d. "What's Up," 25-6) Meat Loaf- "I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)" (first round bye) This song is brilliant. It's bad in many ways, but it's just so brilliantly bad. And overproduced, god is it overproduced. I love it. It's on my Ipod. I never did figure out what he wouldn't do though. This song is also an excellent jukebox clogger if you can find the full version.

UW/MSU being the only game played at the moment means I don't have to worry about CBS cutting away to anything else. Nice.
-
The Coke guys wanting to sue Coke Zero commercials. They were awful when they started, and they keep making them and they keep getting worse. So awful.
-
And that about seals the game for Purdue. Too bad, if UW wins today I was hoping for Northern Iowa next.
