This Blindfold Match isnt going too well . . . We Want Wrestling says the crowd.
-
It was with the Backlund cradle which was a nice nod to the referee.

I'm watching a stream of this so it's not the clearest of picture but is that really a steel cage they're using? It looks more like a wire mesh than steel.

Doesnt appear anyone had Mr. Ho

Pretty lackluster episode this week. Just not much to laugh out loud too. Poor Stanley.

Susan on Seinfeld. -
Daryl thinks he's so macho cause he works in a warehouse. Well, I worked at a warehouse . . . Men's Warehouse. I was a greeter.

If they show the next episode (which I guess they will) then you'll be glad to know Heenan is back and the Fuji / Muraco Stand Up Comedy segment from TNT is also shown If for whatever reason they don't, the Muraco/Fuji comedy skit is on the Online 24/7. I don't know if it's worth $1.49 by itself but it's godawful in a good way. Mean Gene even gets to give the duo the bird in a subtle way when they poke fun of him. Fuji asking about Tropical Issues is great as well.

oAo Monday Night Raw Thread -- 4/9/2007

Yeah, Kofi is a CW. I think Vince finally got around to seeing Cool Runnings and thought a Jamaican character would be hilarious. Though when he wrestled The Miz in a dark match a few weeks back, all the rubes in our section were vastly entertained by him. -
Dammit, I was pulling for Cleveland to finish the season 2-1.

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have the WWE 24/7 Online direct links to the Jake Roberts Interview from late 2005 (it was from the same shoot as he did for his dvd w/ JR) and the WrestleMania 21 Music Video? I can't find them in the archives which is why I now catalog all the vids in my WMP so if vids don't appear in the archive they'll still be in My Library.
-
You got it.
-
I think that was from Raw. Not 100% sure though.
-
I thought it was gonna be School of Rock's cover of "Long Way to the Top". W/o bagpipes, I don't wanna hear it.
-
I think it was mostly because of the stabbing of AA.

Roma actually got interviewed. Wasn't much, just to give his side when everyone else bashed him. Don't worry, Luger and Sid are treated as if they were cancers to the 4 Horsemen w/ their only strength being their respective looks. Lombardi's thoughts must have been wrapped in an apropos Easter Egg . . . since he wasn't in the main feature. Although there is a Tim Horner acknowledgement during the feature.
-
Just got done watching the 4 Horsemen documentary. Paul Roma steals the show when he refers to Arn Anderson as The Pillsbury Doughboy and Ric Flair as 97 years old. As you can imagine, everyone bashes on Roma. Basically, Roma's side of the story is that he wasn't the type to go out every night, get drunk, and take his pants off at every bar. The dvd made liberal references to how the Horsemen banged chicks every night. Definitely a nice piece w/ interviews from Flair, AA, Blanchard, HHH, JR, Michaels, JJ Dillon, Hayes, Steamboat, Rhodes, Ellering, Bischoff, Teddy Long, Lawler, Roma, and Barry & Kendall Windham.

I hope they plopped Dreamer's and Sandman's themes on it.
-
Maybe they'll blame it on Guerrero.
-
The ref just gave Jeff some elaborate instructions.

Bring in London/Kendrick for a unification match.

I looked some of them up on Cawthon's site (mostly the WWWF era). They're not too far off. Plus, some of them were tv tapings so it's hard to tell if they're referring to taping date or airing date. The 1st fall of the Fuji/Saito vs. Strongbows is great. The Strongbows eat the salt, Fuji nails the crotch drop, and it's all over.

FWIW, the April matches are up for WWE 24/7 Online. The theme of the month is "Legendary Moments" and they seem to be on an old school kick and put up a lot of rare stuff. 19 matches are listed but 5 of them are repeats so here are the 14 new offerings: MSG - Wild Samoans vs. Andre the Giant, Rocky Johnson & Tony Atlas January 23, 1984 | Approx. run time: 9 mins. SummerSlam - Jerry "The King" Lawler vs. Jake "The Snake" RobertsAugust 18, 1996 | Approx. run time: 15 mins. Lawler has never been one to shy away from controversy, and on this night, it showed. After a successful career in the ring as one-half of the Wild Samoans, Afa looked to guide The Headshrinkers to World Tag Team gold. Championship Wrestling - Wild Samoans vs. Tony Garea & Rene Goulet September 1, 1980 | Approx. run time: 12 mins. After relinquishing the World Tag Team Championship to Bob Backlund & Pedro Morales, The Samoans were entered into a tournament to crown new champions. In the finals, they faced Garea & Goulet.
