Jeff Hardy was made to look like a dimwit at the end by pinning Benjamin instead of breaking up HHH's pin. Well yeah, RedJed got that but it bears repeating. And let me be among the first to ask for a screencap of The Brian Kendrick w/ "Current WWE Champion" in the caption.

On paper, it would have. But I have no idea if Hennig has the necessary training and experience to pull it off. Rhodes was established to the WWE audience. DiBiase had some seasoning in Japan. If Afa Jr tanks w/ Priceless, no big deal. Priceless can crush him and send him on his way. But I'd be very patient w/ the son of Mr Fuckin Perfect.

Anyone else think Jericho will sue WWE and Michaels claiming that the damage done to his eye came after the bell thus the hold harmless letter he signed would be void?

Pretty much. Which can either be an advantage (He's fresh w/ a lot of tired wrestlers to attack) or disadvantage (Only has 5 minutes to score a pin/submission).

UFC 88: Breakthrough - Liddell vs. Evans
MillenniumMan831 replied to jackmcmanus21's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
Yeah, I know I've never seen anyone hit the deck from an uppercut to the armpit. I know it's never really a figher's instinct to stand back after downing an opponent, but it would have been that much more awesome if Evans just stood back and calmly raised his hands as Liddell was lying in a lump instead of rushing in. -

Corino's 2003 shoot w/ that bald black dude is awesome as well. The stories about Invader, the Iron Sheik, "training w/ Al Snow", and his erotic dream w/ Dusty Rhodes are great. His impressions while maybe not 100% accurate are a riot as well.

I think Dana White probably did the Vince McMahon *gulp* after he saw Liddell hit the flo. -
AWA Wrestling back on the air

They went back to 1986 last night thankfully. Brody runnin wild on Vader was great. As was him gimmicking out to the ringsiders while they just stood and cheered him. There was also a pretty slick Bockwinkle/DeBeers match. Fell asleep during it though. More just me being really tired than the match sucking. -
So are these responses to "Jericholic82." part of the joke? *shrugs*

Discussion: WWE Scramblemania~!

The only way I'd regret not getting tickets to Unforgiven is if The Brian Kendrick walks out WWE Champion. Per Meltz, they haven't even sold 6,000 tickets yet. Yikers! I do think the Browns opening the NFL season at home against Dallas less than 4 hours before the start of Unforgiven has a bit to do w/ it. -

THQ should just weasel Randy Savage in the game anyway. So at worst he fucked Steph when she was a teenager . . . get over it Vince. -
Nah, he lasted a couple more weeks eventually losing the TV Title to Lex Luger on an ep of Saturday Night. This led to The Booty Man coming into play to fill in for the rest of the angle.

AWA Wrestling back on the air

I'm not watching this w/ the most critical of eyes, but is The Cobra really Todd Becker pulling double duty? And who did Larry Z lose the title to after the TCS? Or are they replaying matches from earlier in the year and dubbing over "current" commentary? -
The Big Bang Theory - 8:00 - CBS Yeah, that's probably it for new shows. I DVR Becker and Wings for the rest of my sitcom fix.

Decades of heartache broken up only by occasional periods of the team not existing. There's an impending quarterback controversy, with one of the guys being a scrub coming off of a flukey good year and the other being a latent homosexual from the nation's most abhorrent major college football program. The defense should be better but won't be. The head coach is one Shoney's breakfast buffet away from a major coronary situation. The team plays in a city playfully (but accurately) referred to as "The Mistake by the Lake." 8-8. I'm sold. In Cleveland's defense, the Cuyahoga River has not caught on fire for a few decades. And I believe the Cleveland fans were successful in having the only situation in the NFL where the team moved, but the city was allowed to keep the Browns' name, lineage, records, colors, ect. Otherwise, it would probably have been Steamers' football in 1999 while the Baltimore Browns ran wild.

Next Week - Charlie Haas dressing as Stevie Richards dressing as Dude Love.

I like Foley as much as the next guy, but I really don't need/want to see him wrestling again. If anything, let him scooch Don West out of his chair, give him a remote mic, and let him do little bumper segments in the crowd or backstage so Tenay/Foley can give it a go commentating together.

Comparing The Brian Kendrick to Mitch Hedberg
MillenniumMan831 replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in The WWE Folder
TBK likes to show pictures of himself when he was younger. Of course every picture of himself is from when he was younger. TBK understands that a WWE PPVs must start and end strong. They can't be like eating pancakes . . . all excited to eat them at first and sick of them by the time you're almost done. -
Agreed. Odds are at least half the season's game come down to the final play, and half of those have some kind of unusual finish. Hell, one finish last season led to a change in replay rules for this season. And another led to a change of the forceout rule.

Homer-ism aside, the Browns can be fun to follow. Their offense is pretty explosive. Their defense likes to give up as much as the offense scores and the team is usually good for some overall wackiness. Plus, coach Romeo Crenell cuts some of the dryest promos you'll ever see. They haven't defeated their "rival" Steelers since 2003 despite playing them twice a year so that's something to keep an eye on. Here's NFL Network's Top 10 Cleveland Browns plays of 2007 ---- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=selT99D_ZZo...feature=related

Anyone else think Santino may end up losing the IC Title to the Honky Tonky Man when this is all over?

WWE General Discussion - September 2008

WWE is high on Shelton's work so as a reward he jobbed to HHH. I'm thinking the WWE being down on MVP is probably being blown WAY out of proportion. -
