  1. I know Eddie Guerrero retained the WWE Championship against a former Olympic gold medalist. Perhaps that is what you're thinking of.
  2. It would have been nice to to have Hogan hulking up on Quake w/ an oblivious Martel posing on the other side of the ring. As soon as he turns around, Hogan could have clotheslined him out then have the one-on-one deal w/ Quake to end the Rumble.
  3. Actually, the face turn came at MSG in Dec of 1990. Hart accidentally hit Valentine w/ the megaphone (might have been a guitar) in a match against Saba Simba. Valentine had enough and turned face. Not exactly sure when this was acknowledged on WWF TV but I know they showed a clip of it at some point.
  4. I fuckin hate Edge's spear. If it was a transistional/setup move, that'd be fine, but as a FINISHER, it sucks!!! If it's so effective when Edge does it, why wouldn't Jim Duggan, Chuck Palumbo, Trevor Murdoch, ect use the spear and really break some bones.
  5. Randy "Scum" Orton? Self High V1 Feel the FATE!!!
  6. The 2 advantages of WM2000 are no slowdown like in No Mercy and IIRC, No Mercy doesn't have a Team Battle mode with 4 teams of 4 duking it out.
  7. That's one bright spot Russo did in 2000 was bring back the ramp . . . or maybe that was Bischoff . . . eh whatever.
  8. I'm a Time Warner victim, I'll most likely give them a call tomorrow to see if there's any possibility about getting the CW/USA/SciFi in HD soon.
  9. I voted for 1988. No, I didn't give it a free pass because it was the 1st one. It took me 3 tries to watch it since I fell asleep the 1st two go arounds. Does anyone remember anything from it? Nikolai Volkoff jumping the gun? Warrior lasting a few minutes? Just really really blah. 1991 was very mundane but I'm a Rick The Model Martel mark so I give it an unfair pass. 1993 was already recapped better than I can. 1995 sucked but at least it was quick. Plus, I found the symmetry cute. 1, 2, and 30 finishing it. A Blu Twin coming in to interrupt both HBK/DBS confrontations, Bushwhackers each lasting about 10 seconds. I'm sure there are others but I haven't seen it in a while. 1999 had enough chaos to keep it from the worst but it was definitely garbage. I'd have voted for 2002 if it wasn't for the returns of Goldust/Perfect and the Hurricane's cameo. 2006-07 did nothing for me at all. Just a bunch of rasslin and stallin w/ no markout moments or surprises I can remember. And yeah, Sandman lasting 20 seconds last year pissed me off.
  10. Except for . . . WILL HE TAP WILL HE TAP WE'LL BE RIGHT BACK!!!!
  11. I would get caught watching the Stinkface segments more than anything else. Ughhhhh.
  12. I'm 99% sure it's the 1st one.
  13. I checked the guide on my Time Warner cable box and Raw will not be on the Universal HD station next week.
  14. I just can't imagine a time where Jeff Hardy would ever get an extended run w/ the WWE/World Championship. That said, I really hope he at least gets a short run w/ the WWE Title given that he probably should have been given a transitional run in 2002.
  15. I bet Angle's attorney gets an on air role as a member of the Angle Alliance. He'll then have a suspected affair w/ AJ Styles which causes Kurt to fire them both and turn face. Karen will be caught in the middle.
  16. Thanks a ton for the Cornette shoot.
  17. I thought Butcher would beat Hogan at Starrcade 1994 since I knew they were buddies. While somewhat on the subject, as much as most smarks hated it or didn't give a shit, I loved the Butcher heel turn at Halloween Havoc 94 and the beatdown at the Clash a month later. Good stuff. Of course, I may be a bit biased since my family got cable around that time and it was the 1st major angle I could take in on TBS.
  18. Yeah, they are shoddy at best archiving this stuff. However, each video stays on their server so I add every video (well just the 750K ones) to the Windows Media Player library and rename the files so everything is in chronological order. For example: 2002 9-26 No DQ - Edge vs Eddie Guerrero - Smackdown 2002 10-20 World Championship - HHH vs Kane - No Mercy 2003 2-10 Jeff Hardy vs Chris Jericho - RAW
  19. Ah crap, I was afraid there'd be no History of the Intercontinental Title this month.
  20. Don't remember much from the BATB match but the Clash match is indeed awesome. I always mark out for the spot where Austin has apparently run out of moves to do on Steamboat so he just starts slapping and paintbrushing him until Ricky slowly gets up, gets fired up . . . at which point instead of throwing a clothesline or a punch, Austin instead fights sweat out of his eyes only to push Steamboat's head away again. The crowd, coming to a fever pitch, is just begging for Ricky to kick Austin's ass. They get their wish as Steamboat takes Austin down and strikes the hell out of him.
  21. I've been hitting myself over the head to listen and call in to these shows and I always forget.
  22. Thanks for the listing Nope, downloaded the 1st 6 eps and it's nice to have them listed in order.
  23. Anyone but Graham. He singlehandedly ruined one of the roundtable shows w/ his constant interruptions which led to nothing insightful.
  24. I sure loved it . . . and I'm not just sayin that since you quoted me But that did remind me how much Brian Blair's promo sucked. "I'm happy to be here, golly gee what great competition here in the World Wrestling Federation . . ." You could tell Gene knew he was dyin out there. Also, I must say I was peeved to see McMahon overdub the great Dick Graham's commentary during the Studd/Bobo match.
  25. I'm starting to love hearing Bruno just phone it the fuck in on commentary. That was the most awesome TNA-like edit job . . . Steve Williams swings a chair at Orndorff, just missing him and hitting the post . . . TO THE BACK and some half-asleep interviewer picking the brain of Luna Vachon. Jesus . . . Ricky Ataki AGAIN
