Well . . . I found the Renegade theme to be catchy. And you can almost never get enough of Jim Powers.

WWE had afternoon PPV's before in the past. How long ago was that though? I remember watching em over 10 years ago and they were still at night. I think WM IV started in the afternoon as did Royal Rumble 1992. Not positive about that though.

I'm currently sitting next to an engaged chick at work. Will I try to bust that up? Nah, she has the same first name as my mother. And no . . . she is not my mother.

I sure hope they at least wrap this chamber in "barbed wire" and put hang some weapons from it just to create the illusion that it's an ECW type of match and not a Bischoff match.

I really wish the Razor/Diesel II angle would have worked out better since Steve Corino was in line to be the 1-2-3 Kid II. Honestly, I thought Jacobs did a fine job as Diesel but the dude playing Razor (Rick Bogner?) looked like he was in over his head trying to mimmick another character.

This might have been the 1st week. For the record, he used it in his match against The Undertaker. Not sure if he used it before that.

In all fairness, they used to hype up 4-5 matches for the old ECW ppvs. But yeah, they definitely had a lot of impromptu stuff. The opening 2-3 matches from N2R 1999 jump to mind.

ESPN has really done a helluva job promoting MNF w/ their ad campaign and starting pregame festivities 5 and 1/2 hours before the game starts. Makes each game feel like a Super Bowl.
