  1. I'd go back through & see where anybody called Milwaukee a 'killer' due to today's win but I would be wasting my time. Continue to make up bullshit if it's your thing, though.
  2. Reminder - Replay will be on HBO tonight at 10E/P

The Smith-Davis fight last night was terrific. Espn2's boxing run so far has been its best in years. Next Wed will have former lightheavyweight champs (and Roy Jones Jr conquerers) Montell Griffin & Glen Johnson, Friday's main event will be Zahir Raheem vs. Cristobal Cruz.
  4. What a massacre. Hardy moved back ahead of Prince Fielder for rbi with that grand slam. Sheets had six solid innings as well and notched his 3rd win.
  5. Why is this ppv?
  6. Brewers lost the opener vs. the Mets 5-4. Both teams had 3 homeruns, Jenkins/Fielder/Hardy for Milwaukee.
  7. I don't see how marijuana would help someone with that condition.

  10. The Madeline episodes start tonight.
  11. Static X will be the other mainstage band. Heh.

Terry Smith vs. Kelvin Davis could be a very fun heavyweight fight on Espn2 this Friday.
  13. It looked like Jenkins might be coming around to left-handed pitching with that homerun a couple days back. The pitching is what separates Milwaukee from every other team in the Central, the Cards most of all.
  14. It seems like they're going by last year's stats, which is understandable. But then Dice-K comes in at 19 & it loses any credibility an SI list could possibly have.
  15. I was only looking at baseball. Wisconsin has definitly done alright the last 10 years or so with Green Bay and some marginal success for the Bucks. Cleveland is definitly due for something. Anything.
  16. Obviously I think Milwaukee is most deserving of a good run but home-state-bias aside I would also pick the Indians. The Mets or Dodgers as most deserving is really bizzare.
  17. It wasn't a matter of 'demanding a winner'. At all. We knew there was NO chance being given our team by its ownership. None. Every single star player that came up in the last 15 years before the team was sold was let go for practically nothing. On top of the team being completely disregarded by its owners it was also a period of renewed success for the Packers for the first time in a few decades. Obviously, people were going to pay attention to the more beloved/older team that is very successful over the team that was neutered every single season right out of the gates. But don't let anything like that get in the way of your baseball-hat theories.
  18. And stop with the hat nonsense. It's dumb.
  19. You didn't have to worry about Kerry Wood/Sosa/Sandberg/Grace/etc being traded off for pogs. The money has been been spent on the North Side. It sucks that your team has always found some way to blow it despite the money spent, but at least you've been given actual MLB rosters. In Milwaukee, from the time just before I started watching until very recently, there was no reason to hope that Sheffield/Vaughn/Burnitz/Surhoff/etc would be kept around. It simply would never happen. Now we see Jenkins being kept, Sheets got a big contract & might be given an extension, Bill Hall was signed, even a big free agent in Jeff Suppan. Even when we do trade guys now (Carlos Lee, Doug Davis) we actually get something in return besides a warmer bench.
  20. The 1990s were a brutal time to be a Brewers fan. To watch so many star players come up, play a season or two in Milwaukee, only to be let go for the equivalent of a six-pack or less was depressing. Obviously, fans of teams that constantly funnel cash into the roster have no idea how frustrating that can be year in and year out.
  21. Trying way too hard.
  22. The 10klf schedule was announced today. What a bunch of garbage to slog through to get to few good bands.
  23. One of those games was a one-pitch save. No game today. Don't hold your breath on Cordero's demise saving the Astros season.
  24. "They're not legit like the Tigers last year."
  25. Skip Bayless said the Brwers will not win the division or the wild card. That pretty much ensures a playoff berth for Milwaukee.
