  1. I dont think MMJ will be added this year. They're going to take a deserved break from touring & record a new cd. Hopefully the new cd will do fairly well...and MMJ headlines a night in 2008.
  2. Layne's horrible condition was THE emotional punch to that unplugged show. Beyond that it would have been just average radio-rock shit.
  3. Did you just suggest that the Unplugged show would have been better without Layne Staley?
  4. Why's that? He had a pretty good comeback season...over 1000 yards. If they do end up drafting Marshawn Lynch it would be nice to give him a season to learn backing up Ahman Green. Green's also like 50 yards from the all-time GB yardage mark.
  5. After a few emails it now looks like business as usual...music will start Thurs evening & go thru the night, but no headliner. Fri: Tool Sat: Police Sun: Widespread Panic The White Stripes will probably preheadline for Panic. I will probably leave right after them.

    Rock The Bells

    Heh.
  7. Romney hasnt really been showing any strength of convictions either with his pandering and mind-changing.
  8. If, say Slayer or Lamb Of God are playing in/around Chicago around the date of the Ozzfest stop there...the idea seems to be then that they would be invited to play the Ozzfest show. The obvious drawback to a band doing that would be possibly less people at their headlining show. But, one could assume that the fans of that particular act would see their headlining show anyway as it would be a longer set & tickets aren't exactly thru the roof for most metal acts anyway. The positives would then be to play in front of a larger crowd, 'give something back', sell alot more merchandise than they normally would at their 5000 seat venue.

I going to really try getting to one of the shows. Fortunately the earliest date is still more than a month after the Bonnaroo comedown.

  11. I just received a 40 lb box of books from the Book Thing in Baltimore. Lots of good stuff. Bob McNamara's memoirs should be a hoot.
  12. I really doubt American voters are going to be keen on another Higher Power Candidate after the last 7 years.
  13. What do you guys think of the new Fall Out Boy/Killers/Nickelback/etc?
  14. Looks like Green Bay will try to keep Ahman Green around.
  15. Are OSU fans the first #1s in the country to actually rush the court after a game?
  16. Another great showing from Bill Richardson in NH this weekend.
  17. Are you taking notes, Byron the Bulb?
  18. Awesome game. Too bad they couldn't score a couple hundred points.
  19. Defense & strategy has no place in basketball.

Lennox Lewis has issued a statement re: the comeback rumors. Not happening.
  22. They've only been around since the mid-90s and have always been consistent about touring/new music...are you thinking of something else? There are plenty of oldies on the Bonnaroo lineup (Ralph Stanley, Richard Thompson, Junior, Mavis Staples) but Spearhead is definitly not one of them.
  23. Retard.
  24. Saul Williams @ St Olaf college, Northfield MN, Feb 21 2007
  25. Czech, will you support Ron Paul? He has a nice lil 'R' in front of his name.
