I'm probably going to be more excited about this SuperBowl than any since Green Bay-Denver. Could be a fantastic game, there will be plenty to hype even without NOLA stuff, you got a huge market with Chicago and a superstar in Manning, and a great D vs an explosive O with both teams looking really good in the Championship games. And todays AFC title game deserves a spot in NFL lore.

Maybe Peyton will do the old John Elway routine, get another great running back, and finally get a Super Bowl ring in the twilight of his career. Of course, Elway had already shown he could come up BIG in the playoff way before he got the rings.

I still don't think that will matter. In some cases, really 'looking the part' (like with JFK & Reagan, or the old Victorian Roman Emperor look of a McKinley or Harding) could help but I dont think 'not looking the part' is much of a hindrance. In our own present generation the American people have voted in a guy that looks like a shortbus riding chimp.

I will never understand how a man like John McCain could allow himself to become a Bush puppet, especially after what was done to him in 2000. Beyond the disgusting bending-over aspect of it all, McCain has been around politics for a long time and how he couldn't distance himself from a President sinking in popularity & credibility is really bizzare. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he's not even in the race come primary season.

I'm going to feel good sending this dollar to NOLA. Terrific idea, bob barron. While shoveling my neighbors' driveways this morning I took a poll on the NFC game and everyone seemed to want the Bears to win.

How should I spend my new dollar?
