THE OAO Raw thread for 2/20/06
Art Sandusky replied to Open the Muggy Gate's topic in The WWE Folder
Hart+Eddie+Rhodes+Steamboat+Freebirds+Dibiase > Hogan+Piper+Orndorff+Volkoff+Orton Jr. (Yes, I know there were others last year...I think) That's HOF, not MITB. Marty with a full-time contract? Hello, angle enhancement. Goddammit, I need to leave the computer. -

Eddie is the second announced HOF member. No shock there. Hey, amazing what that Angle/Undertaker match last night can do. This is the most active I've been in this folder in a long ol' time. -

Man, fuck Matt Striker. No one should study GQ. Fuckin' consumerism. I need to go back to the show and get away from this computer. TSM = Crack. -

I didn't think it was coming back at all. I didn't get that TSM memo. Hey, it's cool anyway. Carlito is the MAN, yo. -

I feel dirty knowing that the superb Gamekillers program on MTV last Monday at 11pm was just an extended Axe commercial. I praised that show so much. -

Better then Vince/Shawn! Hells yes! I'm kinda amped for Wrestlemania now, believe it or not. Of course, this is contingent on them BOTH coming out in Rocker garb. -

I think the fifth member joined in so it was outside interference. AS, you're killing me. That said, I marked the fuck out for Marty Janetty. -
Wrong thread, bubs. The Raw thread is over there. (points)

They rang the bell because all of them broke up the pin?! FOUR MORE SHOTS! -
Good, it pisses me off when people forget that match, especially given Heenan's commentary. (Piper has the ring bell) "USE THE BELL! WAFFLE HIM WITH IT! You know what they say! 'What the hell, use the bell!'"

Okay, so I took a shot to open the show, just 'cause. Then there was one for Victoria not being one of the final participants left in the battle royal. And a shot for Candice winning. Then there was one for the Edge/Foley challenge, which makes little sense since Foley called it as straight as an arrow. I was cool thus far, but then the Spirit Squad came on to talk to Vince and I took a shot for each member. So yeah. Hey, mah boy Shelton won hisself a title! Ohhhhh, do chile! (no one from outside the South will really get that) Whee, and now it's time for the four on one match. Excuse me while I go continue my descent into binge drinking brought about by this program. On the bright side, there was a period for 30, 45 minutes where there wasn't anything particularly bad. Big Show needs to learn how to look at the camera when he's cutting a promo. Hey, this is a pretty goddamn stupid premise. Good thing this is tasty stuff. -

By the way, if Vince is properly medicated tonight and RVD wins the title shot, I'll be ready to kiss the guy's ass too. -

Tonight I'm going to play the Desperate Housewife version of the Raw drinking game. Every time something bugs me that a real fan like our friend here would love, a shot of Burnett's watermelon-flavored vodka goes down the hatch. I expect to be blasted by the end of the first hour. GO AHEAD HOUSEWIFE, DEFEND YA BOY -

There's nothing wrong with him having a match, but being involved in the main event of the biggest show of the year is something completely different. -
Am I the only person that thinks of that as the Bret/Piper finish from Wrestlemania VIII instead?

It's certainly taking long enough. This was something that was brought up during the '04 presidential debates, ferchrissakes. There's nothing wrong with using the military as a peacekeeping and defensive force. In fact, that's what it's there for. Imagine that! -
Let's ignore that it would be a huge step for the human race as a whole. Of course, your kind of liberal is completely oblivious to any kind of big picture. FUCK DEVIL BUSH

Meanwhile, relating to the actual article, this is an instance in which I'd be cool with us sending some soldiers off to a foreign country. -

Sounds pretty good in the end. Run time is 29:30.

I can relate. It takes a lot before I'm willing to leave the comfort of my 52" TV. Eh, it isn't really the dearth of other entertainment one can find at home so much as 1) not a lot of new releases making me excited and 2) movie theaters, especially the larger ones, scare the fuck out of me and make me miss the 20th century. You know, back when moviegoing wasn't a multimedia advertising assault that spanned the entire range of ways people could blow their money or erode their brains/bodies.
