  1. Sylvester Croom: Coach-killer.
  2. I swear, I never looked at Danville's picks until after I made mine. First time that's ever happened to me.
  3. THURSDAY West Virginia at Pittsburgh SATURDAY Miami at Virginia N.C. State at North Carolina Iowa at Minnesota Connecticut at Syracuse Maryland at Boston College Illinois at Northwestern Oklahoma State at Texas Tech Auburn at Alabama Michigan at Ohio State Kansas State at Kansas Virginia Tech at Wake Forest Utah at Air Force California at USC Tiebreak #1: How many total points will be scored in the Michigan/Ohio State game? 49 Tiebreak #2: How many rushing yards will Michigan's Mike Hart have against Ohio State? 107
  4. I think Alabama can pull off an upset, especially since I hear some rumblings about Mike Shula being on thin ice. I always root for the weaker team when they clash, except last year I was rooting for Alabama because I wanted to see them continue that spectacular season. In my football fandom lifetime, I'd known Alabama as a good team with a lot of history that had fallen into mediocrity.
  5. That episode made me feel uneasy. Any laughs related to the poor dying kid were of the automatic shock reflex variety. Everything else was hilarious.
  6. Finally, someone thought of the children. Really, how much danger would this incident pose to the entire school population? It's not like the kid pulled out a pistol or something. This isn't condoning what was done, I just don't get that little aside.
  7. See, I'll never get the "he didn't want to disturb the children" defense. You're the freakin' President! The kids will understand when they get home or hear about it somehow. Shit, the only people in America who had no idea what was happening by 10:30 or 11 were either by themselves in bumfuckingnowhere or still asleep. Back to the 2008 campaign, with various party leaders and whips and whatnot being determined, does this sort of stuff historically weed out Presidential candidates? I know Dole was the Senate Majority Leader when he initially ran and gave up his post during the campaign, but beyond that I honestly don't know.
  8. Man, that's just Tony Atlas.
  9. The media doesn't talk about a lot of things. Using lack of coverage doesn't validate dismissing this. This isn't even a loony tale about Israel sending missiles dressed up like planes at the towers. It's something that could have legitimately happened, but because it's talking about that day it, as well as a lot of other things, are brushed aside.
  10. And it's juuuuust right for page sizes, I think. Any time I've monkeyed around with it, I was thrown off.
  11. I don't know why ESPN bothers showing the college games earlier in the week than Thursday. It's always their commentary team talking about other stuff.
  12. I haven't seen EHME around in a while. Another reason the place has been peaceful.
  13. I'd probably work 40-50 hours a week easily if I were to take the job with the political party.
  14. I don't understand why you were made.
  15. Bucs/Panthers was fun to watch through about 11pm, so Raw didn't seem so bad. GodDAMN was DX on way too much. I know it's just beating a dead horse, but really. Is it decreed by MAN LAW?
  16. I would have said McNabb had Philly not decided to spontaneously tank.
  17. No, really, they're doing it too soon. Pop ratings before you pop buyrates. Have their numbers shown any substantial improvement or decrease in six months? At least it isn't actively bad to watch, but feels like it's been in stasis for months.
  18. Japan is so weird. Sapp's entrance defied all reason, logic, and description.
  19. Homicide? I guess I haven't seen the right stuff of his yet.
  20. Marques Colston for rookie of the year. Without him, New Orleans' passing game isn't nearly what it is now as teams could just double Joe Horn all day, but what makes it all move is Drew Brees: YOUR Most Valuable Player.
  21. http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/meast/11/14/...main/index.html You know shit has to be terrible to close down colleges. Can you imagine people surrounding a cabinet-level office in Washington and kidnapping a hundred people inside? This is the kind of activity that makes the "California comparison" and other spin completely ludicrous.
  22. Serious performance beverages.
