Some fans who attended a Limp Bizkit concert in Cicero, IL this past July have filed a lawsuit against the band. The fans claim that they were cheated out of concert-ticket value when Bizkit only performed for 17 minutes. The suit also names 172 concertgoes as plaintiffs who are filing on behalf of the roughly 40,000 people who attended the concert. The suit claims that Bizkit was contracted to play a 90 minute set. The suit wants a $25 refund, 1/3 of the full ticket price, for every person who attended the show. Fred Durst stormed off the stage at the 20 minute mark during the show after he was being booed and started being hailed with water bottles and other garbage. He yelled curse words and other insults at the crowd before leaving. Reports say that the band left the stage after performing a 17 minute set that included Fred Durst cursing the crowd out, bashing gays and throwing a temper tantrum. Heyman isn't an active wrestler but he's still a person who got hurt. Even if you don't count Heyman, the other times stand. How did Brock break his ribs against Big Show and why hold that against him? Guys get hurt all the time. Hell, more times then not guys get hurt by doing something themselves in the ring instead of it being someone elses fault. Brock/Holly? Errrr, I still blame Holly. Anyway, speaking of who I wouldn't book Raw around.

Backlund/Monsoon, 1st UK card, Andre/Bockwinkel
haVoc replied to cawthon777's topic in The WWE Folder
Damn. I know most of those were quick jobber matches but imagine getting that many matches on a card today? -
I don't get why they don't record some of these over sea shows for Raw or Smackdown? The crowds are always hot since they don't get WWE on a regular basic. Smackdown is pre-recorded anyway and it wouldn't hurt Raw ratings that much if there was spoilers. They could even push the show for a week as being something "special" because it's a over sea show. Make some (GOOD) matches a week before and the hot crowds would help the show come across great on TV.

That's your opinion and I respect it. But, it's not fair to hold that against him. It's only one screw up. Brock has done more then enough to prove himself. Thinking that way, why not hold Eddie Guerrero's alcohol/drug past against him? Who knows, if Eddie became champion all the pressure and work could drive him back to substance abuse? Not saying it would, just pointing out you can't always hold someones past against them.

Well, the current rumor is Vince changed Smackdown to be more like Raw. He wanted more segments, promo's and storylines. [McMahon]Fuck Wrestling[/McMahon]

Recap Of Stephanie McMahon On Jimmy Kimmel Live Posted By Matt Biscuiti on 10.10.03 Steph compares her and HHH to Ben and J-Lo... Hilarity ensues! Here's my quick recap of the show: Guests so far are co-host Bobcat Goldthwait and Quentin Tarantino, so they're sitting on the couch as Stephanie is introduced... Great line as Jimmy claims that "Not since OJ's daughter called 911 have father/daughter relations been so crazy..." or something like that. They show clips of last night's SmackDown! catfight w/Steph and Sable, and then Steph comes out. Jimmy asks if he should call child protective services, but Steph claims that she may already be enrolled. Steph gives a storyline explanation of the upcoming I Quit match (at No Mercy on PAY PER VIEW!), and then denies being related to Ed McMahon or Jim McMahon. The following quotes may or not be accurate: Jimmy: "Does it get any stranger in your family?" Steph: "Maybe." Jimmy: "Are you in therapy?" Steph: "We air our problems out in the ring." Jimmy: "Why did you start wrestling?" Steph: "I don't know. I started working behind the scenes, interned variety of positions for my dad, and one day the team of writers thought 'we can write her into the storylines' and that was it." Jimmy: "Did you see a lot of violent movies as a kid?" (This is a reference to Quentin claiming his parents took him to see R-rated movies during his childhood, which Jimmy of course made fun of.)? Steph: "I like Quentin's movies!" Jimmy: "Do people yell at you?" Steph: "Well, when I was 'bad' they chanted slut at me." Jimmy: "Is the match with your father going to be a regular match? Will their be weapons involved? Is it a cage match?" Steph: "Bare-knuckled, with my mom in my corner and dad's mistress in his." Jimmy: "So are you getting married to HHH? When?" Steph: "Yes, by the end of the year." Then she explains how they were married in the storylines... Jimmy: "So will this be a fake marriage, like the Ben and J-Lo marriage?" Steph: "Well, you never know, they were real up to the last minute..." (Does that mean there's hope, 411movies writer Steven Coogan wonders...) Steph then talks about the storyline mariage vs. the real marriage, and the storyline fake pregnancy and divorce -- getting Jimmy all confused, to the point he suggests Quentin come in to WWE to clean up the storylines. Of course then Quentin starts to talk about Superman in Earth 1 vs. Superman in Earth 2 or 3 or something... Jimmy: "You'd just make it more complicated." And... that's it. Woo! credit:411

Hmmmm, Raw now or Raw between 93-96? Both had it's fair share of shit and very few gems. The main eventers actually wrestle on the shows now. Less jobber matches today. Deisel or Triple H? I'll take Triple H. Goldberg or Yokosuna? Not sure..... Bret/Shawn or Triple H/Goldberg? I'll take Bret and Shawn in their hay day but they didn't always wrestle on the shows then. Midcarders like Owen/Davey/Hennig/Taker or Jericho/RVD/Storm/Christian? Hard call.... The production then or now? Now and it's live. Announcers then or now? I'll take the combo's of Vince/JR/Lawler/Brain/Gorilla/Savage, etc. I think if I watched some old tapes of Raw I'd be more impressed with today shows and my expectations were lower then. BTW, I'm watching VH1's 40 greatest rock feuds and Steve Austin is hosting it right now.

You guys are something. You criticize, rip apart and make fun of ISportsFan's email even though he stepped up and sent his complaints into the WWE while you complain about it on a forum board where the suits in WWE never read it? Hell, at the end of every week we should take the best threads and send the links into the WWE so maybe they will read what we all have to say.

Yup, keep banning everything Vince and Co. Keep banning moves. Keep up with the lame storylines, segments, promo's and McMahon-A-Mania all over TV. Keep slowing down matches and shortening them. Keep pushing the guys who can hardly move. And when/if TNA gets a TV deal and people see the action there they will really be tuning out WWE. Vince needs TNA to get a TV deal more then he knows.

This guy who hangs at the local bar I do is really annoying. Bugs the shit out of me everytime I'm there. He's a sloppy drunk. Really, I just don't/didn't like the guy. Well, the other day he left the bar drunk, hit the guard rail on the bridge on his motocycle, went over and fell 50 feet to his death. I already laughed so I can't do anything about that, but insure me it's wrong to be happy about this......

You people need to realize Boston NEEDS to lose. It's part of their legacy. It's what their known for, it's their gimmick! People love the "curse." If Boston ever goes to the World Series and win, it's over. They become just another bland team. The Yankees kicking your ass is doing you a favor.

And the difference between that and the "news" we get from 1Wrestling/Dave which we discuss here is?
-
Word backstage is that WWE has purposely changed Smackdown recently to make it more like RAW. Thus, the show has had more focus on vignettes and storylines and less focus on wrestling. Many fans were complaining that the Smackdown taping was not very organized last night, leaving the audience confused and upset. Many even left early because of this. Credit: 1wrestling.com

Rhyno was one of the only Alliance guys who were over and he was putting on good matches every week. He hasn't done shit since. Except for that time Vince kicked him out of the ring....
-
Many backstage feel that Rhyno is being buried by Vince McMahon partly due to being an ECW/Paul Heyman creation, much like Rob Van Dam. Many in WWE seem to still be "fighting the war" against WCW and ECW (despite the war obviously being over) and thus sometimes do not push "WCW and ECW talent." Credit: 1wrestling/411

Whoa, somehow Raw may actually be better this week. Oh well, wrestling my be crap but at least I have my Chiefs and Yankees.
-
If this is true then it's because of the impact it has on the spine. They go over and land flat which makes your spine shoot up or down. There is a reason why when a guy jumps off the second rope to hit an elbow drop they turn their body to come down sideways instead of straight. It takes the pressure off. Now, we need to find out who complained?
-
Well, it's a damn good thing they go out of their way to explain ref trades but not when guys like Bradshaw jump ship. Tell ya the truth, I never paid attention to which show has which refs.

Triple H plays a better game then Hogan. He has to. Triple H can't draw like Hogan. If Hogan couldn't draw top dollar he would have never gotten away with most of the crap he has.

WWE RAW did another 3.4 rating this week off hours of 3.3 and 3.6. This is the same rating as last Monday. The overrun of 4.1 was the highest rated segment. Backstage news items from RAW... - Many wrestlers were shaking their heads backstage at RAW last night when they saw that Triple H, despite being on hiatus to film movies, managed to get himself on RAW via a taped segment. - The plan right now is for WWE to deliver a Goldberg vs. Shawn Michaels match on an upcoming RAW. - Word is that the Mark Henry/Goldberg match came off very bad due to Henry forgetting many spots throughout the course of the bout. - Many wrestlers were also talking about the Canada house shows this past weekend. Most of the gates for the shows were poor, resulting in small cuts for the wrestlers. - Steve Austin is scheduled to be a guest on the Howard Stern Radio Show sometime soon. There is no logic. Just like next week when Kane returns with tape on his head and destroys Shane to carry on this silly feud.

Thank God for Raw and Smackdown now. I remember when TV taping would take place before PPV's and it was one giant spoiler for the up coming weeks. Like say, HBK would come out to defend the IC title against Owen Hart, win, then a little later do one of those interviews where Vince would interview him on the stage by the announcers booth. The whole time you would be thinking "Wait a minute?!? I thought Jeff Jarrett was still IC champion?" That was confusing when you were a kid/mark and didn't know any better.
-
Smackdown taping is here in two weeks but I doubt I'm going since Aerosmith/Kiss is a few weeks after that and I need money for that show.

Is there anyone on Raw he hasn't beat who is worth a damn?
