  1. Jesus, you would think his contract ran out this year. He's been misused since Mania. Actually, he didn't even have a match at this past Mania did he?
  2. Gotta love how Kevin Nash is making $600,000, but RVD is probably only making $150,000 down side and probably won't get much else.
  3. Watch game 7 tonight. Might get better wrestling there.
  4. Wrestling..... Royal Rumble 92. Flair wins first WWF title. Diesel debut (I think it was his debut) when he helped HBK win back the IC title from Marty Jannitty. Austin's beer truck. Angle wins first WWF title. Spike and Rhyno's WWF debuts. First Raw of the brand extention. Also the night Eddie Guerrero returned.
  5. That's fucked up! Keith Richards and cockroaches shouldn't have to suffer like that..
  6. While there were mistakes and disappointments like who ran over Austin and the Steph-Triple H-Angle storyline the product was still pretty good at the time. The storylines made sense and the in ring action was still hot. Austin turning heel could be pointed at as the start of the down fall but the real turning point was Vince buying/burying WcW. That should have been one of the biggest and best storylines ever. But, WcW only had a handful of "big stars" like Booker and DDP and the writers never figured out how to use them. Of course, Taker, Austin and everyone else playing politics didn't help either. But, that is when the writing went to crap. Guys being jobbed out for no reason. Guys winning and then dropping titles every other week. I couldn't keep up with who was champion half the time. Then little things like Austin kicking the crap out of the WcW guys at KOTR that year then joining them at the end of the match. The whole Invasion being focused around Austin and favoring all the WWF guys. Booker T being WcW champion then being made a running joke and then becoming Rock's bitch. It was a one sided battle from the start and the writing has never recovered since.
  7. I don't know which singer is which in Linkin Park, but the one with the black hair and the glasses looks like the guy from the phone commercials.... "Can you hear me now?"
  8. STP Says 'Thanks' With Bonus DVD A special edition of Stone Temple Pilots' upcoming Atlantic best-of set, "Thank You," will include a DVD packed with three hours of videos, live performances and footage of the band shot by friends and fans. Due Nov. 11, the 15-track audio anthology will be available with and without the DVD. The DVD will feature clips for 32 songs, including such hits as "Interstate Love Song," "Sex Type Thing" and "Vasoline." Highlights include a rendition of the Aerosmith classic "Sweet Emotion" with the band's Steven Tyler and Joe Perry and run through Glen Campbell's "Wichita Lineman" with the artist. As previously reported, the tracks on the "Thank You" audio disc survey the band's five studio albums, which have sold a combined 12 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. The set boasts the new song "All in the Suit You Wear," which can be sampled on the band's official Web site. As a group, STP has been more or less dormant in the last year. Singer Scott Weiland, who has publicly battled addiction through a series of arrests and stints in rehab, has most recently been involved with the band Velvet Revolver. Rounded out by former Guns N' Roses members Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum plus Suicidal Tendencies' David Kushner, the band is eyeing a February release for its debut RCA album. STP bassist Robert DeLeo and his guitarist brother Dean produced Alien Ant Farm's latest album, "truANT." Released in August, the set debuted at No. 42 on The Billboard 200. Here is the "Thank You" audio CD track list: "Vasoline" "Down" "Wicked Garden" "Big Empty" "Plush" "Big Bang Baby" "Creep" "Lady Picture Show" "Trippin' on a Hole in a Paper Heart" "Interstate Love Song" "In the Suit That You Wear" "Sex Type Thing" "Days of the Week" "Sour Girl" "Plush" (acoustic) Here is the "Thank You" DVD track list: "Dead & Bloated" "Army Ants" "Interstate Love Song" "Silver Gun Superman" "Crackerman" "Plush" "Trippin' on a Hole in a Paper Heart" "Hollywood Bitch" "Big Empty" "Long Way Home" "Down" "Meat Plow" "Tumble in the Rough" "Sex & Violence" "Wicked Garden" "Atlanta" "Where the River Goes" "Pop's Love Suicide" "Sweet Emotion" "Big Bang Baby" "Pretty Penny" "Lounge Fly" "Wonderful" "Creep" "Too Cool Queenie" "Wichita Lineman" "Sex Type Thing" "Vasoline" "Lady Picture Show" "Sour Girl" "Days of the Week" "Hello, It's Late" Credit: Billboard.com
  9. The fans cheer because he's Steve Austin. He's one of the biggest wrestling superstars ever. It's not just about respect and his legacy. When your there live, the glass breaks and Austin comes walking down the ramp it's exciting. He has this presence about him that you can't ignore. Which is what made him a star in the first place.
  10. Yup, looks like another Hardy match has been booted off a PPV. WWE.com has listed for No mercy Brock Vs Taker Vince Vs Steph Eddie Vs Big Show Angle Vs Cena Tajiri Vs Mysterio Benoit Vs A-Train
  11. MIAMI — It's the only awards show where you'll see more stars wearing name brands like Dickies and Timberland than Louis Vuitton and Armani. The sixth annual Source Awards took place Monday night with the absent 50 Cent leading the pack with two major nods. (Click for photos from the red carpet.) Despite his on-wax beef with The Source's co-owner Ray Benzino, the voters couldn't deny 50, giving his Get Rich or Die Tryin' Album of the Year honors while his "In Da Club" took home Single of the Year - Male. The other big winners of the night were Nelly, who won Artist of the Year - Male, and the Neptunes, who took home the prize for Producer of the Year. Lil' Kim came away from the ceremony as the night's top lady, grabbing Artist of the Year - Female. "This has been a great weekend, I been in Miami partying my ass off," Kim, who was up for five awards, said on the red carpet. "Then after tonight I'm gonna party my ass off again. The Source Awards, that's way big. That was the first time I ever performed on live TV. We did the first Source Awards with Biggie, and we ripped." "We didn't know," Nelly said backstage about taking home the Artist of the Year Award. "We was nominated for four awards, you think you win then you don't. You think you won't, then you win. We just came to have a good time." Nelly did know that he was going to receive a Source Foundation Image Award for his work in the community. He, along with LL Cool J, Rock Steady Crew member Crazy Legs and Roy Jones Jr. were given those honors. "[To get] an Image Award for giving back, that's saying that people do notice," Nelly said. "Not that we do it because of that, but this is letting us know that certain people appreciate what you do." "Being onstage with them is a lot of fun," LL said about getting his Image Award. "It's nice to just see different phases of the culture. Different times. How people blend with the good energy and good vibes. It always feels good to get included." Beyond the awards, the highlight of the night was the Dirty South medley, when Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz, David Banner, Bone Crusher, Lil' Flip and the Ying Yang Twins hit the stage. The artists kept things crunk not only with their rowdy tunes, but by having strippers as backup dancers. The ladies flashed their bare breasts, showed their BUTT cheeks and gyrated on poles. "Actually [the idea for the performance] came about when we was in L.A. and we happened to run into one of the guys that was setting up The Source thing," Lil Jon explained. "I gave my idea on the spot. Everybody's idea of the South, the first thing they think about is going to the strip clubs. Then in the 'Get Low' video we in the strip clubs. Our song 'Get Low' and David Banner's song 'Like a Pimp' is songs for women to dance to. So they ran with the idea of everybody rocking on the set. We tried to upstage Madonna [and Britney Spears at the MTV Video Music Awards] with the [women] kissing. "It's just our time right now," Jon added about the props the Southerners received at the show. "All of the South artists did they thing tonight. Bone Crusher got an award, Killer Mike, T.I. The South has never got this much love from something like The Source. Hip-hop is considered to be something that comes from the North and the Northern artists get most of the respect, but the Southern artists got some respect tonight." Ja Rule didn't fare as well during his performance of "The Crown" and "Clap Back." Although he had people on their feet, he received some boos when he finished his set. That was the second time during the night he heard it from the crowd — earlier, the fans dissed him when he won R&B/Rap Collaboration of the Year for "Thug Lovin' " with Bobby Brown. Rule didn't go onstage to accept his award. The rapper's spokesperson said his absence was not due to the crowd's reaction, but rather because he was backstage and was not aware that his category was being presented. To Rule's defense, there was some confusion at the ceremony, as it ran well into the night, going past 1 a.m. "This is history," Benzino said on the red carpet, shortly before the show commenced. "Ain't nothing like this ever been nowhere. This is hip-hop at its purest form. [You'll see] people that a lot of other awards shows just don't acknowledge. We represent hip-hop in its purest form and the people involved with it. The Source magazine's been the number-one imprint of hip-hop for a long time. This shows that. We got the support of every artist out here." Other winners included the Clipse for Single of the Year - Group with "Grindin' " and Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz for Artist of the Year - Group and Video of the Year for "I Don't Give a F---." A spokesperson for the event said additional winners will be announced later. The Source Awards will air November 11 on BET. 2003 Source Awards winners: Album of the Year: 50 Cent, Get Rich or Die Tryin' Artist of the Year - Male: Nelly Artist of the Year - Female: Lil' Kim Artist of the Year - Group: Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz Single of the Year - Male: 50 Cent, "In Da Club" Single of the Year - Group: Clipse, "Grindin' " Single of the Year - Collaboration: Bone Crusher featuring T.I. and Killer Mike, "Never Scared" R&B/Rap Collaboration of the Year: Ja Rule featuring Bobby Brown, "Thug Lovin' " Video of the Year: Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz featuring Mystikal and Krayzie Bone, "I Don't Give a F---" Producer of the Year: The Neptunes Dancehall Reggae Album of the Year: Sean Paul, Dutty Rock International Album of the Year: K-Os, Exit Credit: MTV.com I could really care less about 95% of rap/hip hop but, Ja Rule getting booed needed to be shared.
  12. Jericho will never get the best of Austin. Austin never lets anyone get the best of him. Don't blame it all on Vince, Steph and the writing team either. Austin never lets himself look weak. He didn't when he was an active wrestler and he still won't and if he is asked to do so, he'll throw a fit, refuse or just walk out. When you have the pull Austin does he can get away with anything. Beating up women, getting drunk in the ring, swearing, no selling offense of the actual wrestlers, nothing shocks me. Austin is no better then Triple H calling Booker a nigger this past year, talking him down and then beating him clean. Fuck Goldberg, Austin, Triple H, McMahons and the rest of the politics.
  13. The name of the thread is "worst band ever." Not "bands you hate." The Monkees and Hole I can see, but there are more bands out there with less talent then the others you listed. Turn on Much Music/Fuse and you'll hear all the pop punk and emo bands. Think of all the one hit wonders of the 90's. Think back to the 80's and you have Trixster, Ezuff Enough, Go Go's, Warrent, Vixen, Winger, etc. To say any of those bands are better then Metallica, Aerosmith, Beatles or Nirvana is a joke.
  14. The midget thing doesn't sound that bad. Probably will come off better on TV. Angle is gold in these comedy segments. God forbid he doesn't act like "Stone Cold" Jeff Jarrett errrr Austin...... BTW, is Angle and/or Cena injured? I can't remember the last time these two have wrestled on Smackdown?
  15. No way. Not even WWE could screw this up as bad as Invasion. All they have to do is make a 10 man elimination tag match and put a team around Jericho and a team around Cena. You don't have to get fancy. They invade each others shows and attack each other some weeks and cut promo's against one another other weeks. You know Jericho and Christian can cut some good promo's and Cena rapping about Smackdown having better talent could be gold. All you have to do is let the fans decide who they want to cheer.
  16. Austin gave Stacy the stunner probably to get Stacy off TV for a few weeks. Test is injured so Stacy was probably given time off to be with him. Then, when they return they can be part of the Jericho-anti-Austin- thing their doing. Also, if WWE is so dead set on the soap opera stuff, they should have Jericho/Trish be the Fred/Britney of the WWE. Jericho says they did and Trish says they didn't. Hearing Jericho every week talk about how he nailed Trish would be kind of funny. Of course the feud would end with Shane kicking Jericho's ass and him being the one who really nailed Trish 7 ways to Sunday.
  17. They better have some Raw Vs Smackdown matches. There is no reason not to. They could have guys attacking each other from both shows to build up the matches. It would add excitment to the shows and people would/should be interested enough to buy the PPV for that alone. Have Cena & co' do run ins on Raw and then have Jericho & co' strike back on Smackdown.
  18. Rancid
  19. I hope you guys realize NO ONE is going to take Goldberg out for the $100,000. Goldberg will continue to crush everyone until Triple H comes back and destroys Goldberg himself. That way he can do the "If you want something done right you have to do it yourself" speech and bury the whole Raw roster once again.
  20. JR is rumored to be a chain smoker. So going two hours on Raw and three hours on PPV's without nicotine is a bitch. Probably the reason he twitches, fumbles his words and is always acting crazy like he's losing his train of thought. Withdrawl will do that to you.
  21. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Rumor has it Goldberg/HBK Vs Mack/Henry will be the main event tonight
  22. I think that was Debra and Torrie. Torrie was known for "sucking" up to people in power and Debra didn't like it when she saw Torrie talking (or flirting) with Austin. I remember reading Debra threw a little hissy fit and told Torrie to keep away from him.
  23. Which is refreshing at times, less flash and more wrestling. The matches usually move from one to the next pretty quick. The guys work the crowd alot more at house shows which is fun. They usually keep the match in the ring instead of all the outside/floor spots and brawls. There is no camera men or announcer tables so they don't use as much floor around the ring which brings the front row closer.
  24. Fred Durst and band walking off stage should be worth $25. They walked off and Metallica had to come out sooner and they probably played longer.
  25. 9:15-9:30 fell somewhere between the Gowen/Moore(Hardy) and the Benoit/APA Vs Basham/A-train match right?
