so wait, now we get jarrett as the leader of the anti tna movement, with all the old wwe wrestlers that wwe fired coming in and siding with him, except for the 1 or 2 that swerve him and help tna?
-
Too bad Matt Hardy won't be here now. Hopefully they push the button on the BG James turn and go ahead and put him back with Outlaw. The fans want it badly. Hopefully a few of the released WWE guys might show up too.
-
great, they went from one shitty codec to another
-
Apparently according to Wade Keller, Jarrett was throwing a fit all week, because Dixie Carter kept vetoing any notion of Jarrett regaining the belt at Slammiversary, so instead of jobbing Jarrett just took himself out of the match.
-
This codec they are using is shit. For the same size they could have got a file that was actually watchable with xvid/divx.
-
Keep Jarrett out of power and maybe they can turn the company around by the time it starts airing on Spike.
-
THANK YOU NEW BOOKING TEAM, PLEASE GO AWAY FOREVER JEFF JARRETT
-
TNA is really hurting without tv to build the pppromote the shows. The least TNA could do is do is write up storylines and the current goings on each week that would've happened on tv on the website, to help build to the ppvs.
-
Hardys reunion in TNA is intriguing, but will TNA be alive the 90 days left until his no compete ends?
-
It would be awesome.
-
Maybe they will get a little more edge back now that they are back on USA. If they do maybe I'll start watching again(though I don't have much faith they will).
-
It might actually be a good idea if TNA let all the guys be at the ECW ppv just for the fact that it gives the wrestlers they have more exposure. This ECW ppv will most likely do atleast 100,000 buys, plus the buildup they would get on WWE tv.
-
Wow he overbooks matches just like Vince Russo supposedly did, except Vince Russo atleast had entertaining storylines and listened to the talent.
-
Are you positive that it was WWE? Because I'm pretty sure he worked WCW from 96 to 99 as a jobber. Yeah he was a jobber in WWF then went to WCW as a jobber.
-
Johnny Swinger used to work for WWF years ago(like 95 or 96) and used the name Johnny Swinger, but he was just a jobber pretty much. He was like my favorite jobber back then and he reminded me of HBK.
-
Is this Michelle McCool? I haven't been watching EDIT: You should know better than to post NSFW images inline.

·The hot rumor in the locker room is that Jerry Jarrett took control of the company by assuring Bob Carter that he could turn a profit within a matter of months or find a buyer for the company. Several people within the company believe that Carter has threatened to sell or shut down the company by March if they don't have a profitable month before then or find someone to purchase the company. In other words, our report two weeks ago about Bob Carter asking during a conference call about a timeline for turning a profit may have the first sign of Carter losing patience with TNA. The shift of power toward Jerry Jarrett is no surprise all things considered, since Jarrett is best known for two things - cutting corners and finding investors/buyers for wrestling companies. "Jerry plays the earnest, tobacco chewin', Southerner gimmick to the max at business meetings," says one industry source. "He really knows how to sell himself and a concept to someone. He is good at controlling a situation while at the same time giving the other party the impression they're in charge. When he's being underestimated is when he's most dangerous. If the Carters bail, he'll probably rope someone else into buying the company and losing another $20 million on the company for two more years." ·Regarding Jerry Jarrett, Paul Heyman said on Byte This on Nov. 17: "I think Jerry Jarrett is the single most brilliant businessman - Vince McMahon included - that I have ever met in my entire life and I'll tell you why. They have put a spin on this situation that they have, the likes of which I've never seen. When ECW filed for bankruptcy, we were owed millions of dollars by pay-per-view, we were owed so much money in pay-per-view revenue it was sickening. We couldn't get our pay-per-view money because we had lost the network and the pay-per-view industry's decision was, 'We'll deal with the bankruptcy court, we'll settle for forty or fifty cents on the dollar at the most, maybe even less.' Even including the money that was owed to us, considering that debt, we were [still in debt] 7 to 8 million dollars at the end... TNA has lost far more than that already, and [ECW] was in business for seven years, and in a much more competitive environment because we had WWE, WCW - it was like the dot.com industry, this was the bubble, this was at the height. I don't even know how much TNA has lost - ten million, twelve million, there were reports that they lost fifteen million. There are reports now, I mean, I don't know how much they've lost. And yet Jerry Jarrett goes down in history - when it's not even their money, it's Panda Energy's money - but Jerry Jarrett goes down in history as "the brilliant businessman" and he is because he hasn't lost a dime of his own money. I lost my ass. I mean I lost my ass. I filed for personal bankruptcy, and I'm not ashamed of it because I put my whole life into that company, I never took a paycheck from the company in seven years. And I don't regret that either. Jerry Jarrett is making money, or did make money, I don't know how much involved he still is, [but he did make] money with Panda Energy, Panda Energy is just sinking money and sinking money. Everybody sits there and goes 'Ooooh, they're going to compete with WWE.' They're losing their ass, too! But they have so much money, so they can afford to lose it, so they're brilliant but I'm the dumbass who destroyed ECW. I think Jerry Jarrett is a brilliant guy I think he deserves so much credit for his spin on this that I think he should be hired as a spin-meister by anybody who does business with him." He added: "(TNA is) not competition to anybody. And I wish they were competition, by the way, I wish that somebody were competition today. I think that it would be the best thing for the industry. I really really do. But they're not." TNA NOTEBOOK Wrestlers say that the attendance at Universal Studios has improved since Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and Randy Savage debuted... Billy Gunn is expected to sign a TNA contract once his 90-day no-compete clause expires. There has been talk of having him feud or team with B.G. James... The non-main eventers have been chuckling privately about how unoriginal they consider the Kings of Wrestling name to be... The meeting held prior to the November 23 Impact tapings almost didn't take place. The office originally posted a note in the locker room detailing the new schedule. The note did not explain why the tapings were be reduced from weekly to bi-weekly, whether the wrestlers would be paid by the taping or by the booking, or that Dusty Rhodes had taken over the booking duties. Several wrestlers weren't shy about mentioning that they have to find out news about their company by reading the internet. Eventually, management decided to hold the meeting at which Rhodes was introduced by Jerry Jarrett and the new schedule was explained by Bob Ryder... Wrestlers are upset by rumors that the company might move the Impact tapings from Tuesday to Saturdays because it would take away one of their prime nights for working independent shows. "If they expect guys to stay under contract for three bookings per month, there's just no way," said one frustrated wrestler. A number of wrestlers say they stopped asking for the office's blessing to work indy shows months ago. It's well known in the locker room that the company will not allow wrestlers to work Ring of Honor shows, but they have been open to letting the talent work for other promoters. However, the office would still like to draw a commission when the wrestlers work outside the company. By not following the proper channels, the wrestlers are technically violating their contracts... Although the wrestlers are happy to see Jeff Jarrett turn over the book to Dusty Rhodes, not everyone is so happy that Jerry Jarrett has more power. "If Jerry Jarrett is more involved, everybody will take a pay cut," predicted one wrestler. Other wrestlers still recall hearing Jerry tell his son that most of the wrestlers would have paid the company just to appear on the Wednesday night pay-per-views, which has a number of wrestlers concerned about whether future budget cuts might affect them... One observer predicts that Dutch Mantel and Jeremy Borash won't last long in their current roles as Rhodes' booking assistants. The observer noted that Rhodes has been leery of allowing non-wrestlers to be involved in booking matters, which may not bode well for Borash. "Dusty is old school like that," said the observer, who also believes Mantel will choose to leave if he has any alternative options. "Dutch won't stick around now that he's been minimized." There are reports that Rhodes and Mantel are not on good terms, but other sources say they've never noticed any friction between them... Rhodes may have given Scott Hall and Kevin Nash a vote of confidence in front of the wrestlers, but one source says Dusty understands Nash's limitations. The source went so far as to say that Rhodes doesn't believe in Nash, and predicts that they will BUTT heads in the future when Rhodes inevitably wants to use Nash's star power to help elevate another wrestler... Rhodes didn't make many friends via his first meeting with the wrestlers. A number of wrestlers were insulted by the way Rhodes put over Hall, Nash, and Randy Savage as the reasons viewers ordered they pay-per-view. One wrestler pointed out that Savage wasn't even advertised the for the pay-per-view, and noted that wrestlers such as Jeff Hardy, Raven, B.G. James, and other members of the roster have also sold their share of pay-per-views. Rhodes also rubbed some wrestlers the wrong way by saying that complaining would no longer be tolerated. These wrestlers rightfully point out that Rhodes might not have a job if it wasn't for all of the complaining they did about Jarrett's booking failures...

Don't blame Dusty. You won't start seeing his fingerprints on the product really until after Turning Point.

1. Early buyrate returns encouraging for TNA, as were Best Damn ratings The mood was good backstage at this Tuesday's TNA TV tapings in Orlando, Fla. as word spread that early buyrate was more than encouraging. TNA president Dixie Carter was telling people she was thrilled with information she had been given from the PPV providers about the PPV, indicating that Victory Road drew well above the 25,000 they were targeting, perhaps in the 40,000-50,000 range. The ratings for the two 90 minute "Best Damn Sports Show" specials were also said to be nearly triple what the show averages. It was clear to observers that Dixie was in great spirits, and that rubbed off on Jeff Jarrett who was also in a better mood than usual. TNA owner Bob Carter was also said to be ecstatic over the numbers that have been coming in. 2. TNA policial situation continues to be hot-button issue behind the scenes In reaction to continued rumors, including TORCH reports, of dissension between Jerry and Jeff Jarrett, Dixie Carter had a long talk with them at this Tuesday's TV taping. It isn't unusual to see Jeff meet with Dixie or Jerry meet with Dixie, but it is unusual for all three to meet together at once. The discussion lasted well over an hour. Carter also had a long talk with other office workers, perhaps in part trying to find out the source of rumors about political in-fighting in TNA. "Dixie wants someone fired over this controversy," says one TNA source. There were no major changes at this Tuesday's taping, as Dutch Mantell and Jeremy Borash were handling booking duties as usual, with Jeff in the "Stephanie McMahon" role of overseeing and supervising the whole operation. Terry Taylor was working in the production truck, and Dusty Rhodes was doing his usual thing as a talent with no booking role. Jeff Jarrett had confronted Jerry last Tuesday about word he was getting about Jerry trying to oust him from power. "Jerry sees this as a great time to steal power as Jeff is tending to his wife," says one wrestler, who is usually a critic of Jeff and supporter of Jerry. The feeling is that Jerry doesn't believe in the office staff that Jeff has assembled, and that's been one of his big talking points. "TNA has an office staff filled with guys who should not be running an office," says one TNA source. For months Jerry Jarrett has been dropping details into conversations with people about the changes he'd make if he gained power in TNA, so the rumors last week of him making a powerplay came as no surprise to many within TNA. If Jerry were to gain control and Jeff were to lose control, the feeling is that Dutch Mantel, Bob Ryder, Jeremy Borash, and Tim Welch would lose power.

Finally a show that sounds somewhat exciting. I'll watch this one.

·There continues to be a great power struggle behind the scenes between Jeff Jarrett and Jerry Jarrett. Sources say that the falling out between the father and son is severe as now Jerry is attempting to get control of the company from Jeff. During a recent conference call, TNA owner Bob Carter pressed the issue of when he could expect the company to have a profitable month. Jerry has apparently been telling Bob Carter that Jeff Jarrett is part of the problem and that the company won't turn around with him in charge. Jerry has been using Hulk Hogan as a bargaining chip with Bob, stating that if Bob took power away from Jeff (who actually owns a small stake in TNA) and gave it to him, he would put Hogan in charge of booking. There were rumors last week that made it all the way to WWE's front office that Hulk Hogan and Jerry Jarrett would be taking over control of TNA and moving Dusty Rhodes and Terry Taylor into the booking position and ousting Dutch Mantel and Jeff Jarrett. Says one wrestler: "I don't know what's going to happen, but backstage there is a sense lately that something is about to go down. Some people would be happy with major changes, but not everyone is sure change will be necessarily be good." Some within TNA react to the rumors of Jerry's powerplay with disgust. "Jeff put everything he has financially into this company and now his own millionaire father is trying to rip it away from him. It's disgusting," says one source. There is fear that if Jerry were to gain control, pay would go down across the board since Jerry's method has always been to cut talent pay as much as possible, arguing that if they're willing to work for it, it's by definition "fair pay." He believes with so few options, wrestlers would work for TNA for less than they're currently receiving. Those in favor of Jerry's actions are fearful that if Jeff remains in charge, TNA will never be profitable and they'll end up out of work anyway. Dixie, meanwhile, is said to be a staunch supporter of Jeff and, according to one source, "despises Jerry for undercutting his own son." ·Everyone in TNA was thrilled with how the Victory Road Fanfest went. A special autograph session was held the day before the PPV at Universal Studios, and they drew great crowds at $50 per person to enter and then $7 per picture and $5 per autograph. Wrestlers were broken into two blocks for three hour sessions, but they had to stay longer than their allotted time to accommodate demand. It was uplifting for the wrestlers to be treated as stars by so many fans the day before their big PPV. Dixie Carter was at the fan festival and was working nonstop to be sure it went smoothly. She also seemed happy with the turnout. ·The next TNA PPV is scheduled for Dec. 5, titled Turning Point. At TNA's website, Monty Brown is featured in the Turning Point ad with the words "Destiny Awaits" beneath him. It's expected one way or another Brown will be in the main event, either in a singles match against Jeff Jarrett or a tag match involving Randy Savage and Brown against Jarrett's team. TNA NOTEBOOK Randy Savage's name was all over the board backstage at the TV tapings last week mapping out the plans for each segment. Most prominently he was scheduled to run in at the end of the main event match... Observers say there was no serious talks about having Hogan appear on camera at the PPV despite internet reports to the contrary. Hogan spent some time talking with owners Dixie and Todd Carter, whom witnesses described as "marking out" for Hogan... Hogan arrived at the PPV in a decked out new Mercedes that impressed nearly everyone. He rode to the PPV with Brian Nobbs. Savage arrived with Brian Adams of "Kronic" fame... Elix Skipper was legitimately out on his feet during the America's Most Wanted vs. Triple X match on the PPV. He was taken to the hospital following the show because of a concussion he suffered. Chris Harris and James Storm had no idea that Skipper was injured. In fact, they were initially upset with him because they thought he was just being difficult in the ring... Jim Mitchell actually played the hooded figure that watched the Raven vs. Abyss vs. Monty Brown match from the rafters. All indications are that he will be managing Abyss... The storyline that Raven, Abyss, and Brown were locked up for 24 hours before their match was a Raven creation... Scott Hudson's line about the server being down in Stamford, Connecticut is being blamed on Jeremy Borash... The big pre-show meeting consisted of a viewing of the "Victory Road" video and a minute or two of comments from Jeff Jarrett. Apparently, the biggest thing discussed during the meeting was that the wrestlers were not allowed to wander into the Universal Studios offices... One observer reports that Roddy Piper was stumbling around backstage and "appeared to be in his own little world" for most of the night... The live crowd at the pay-per-view was heavily papered, but the wrestlers and office were thrilled with the enthusiasm they showed throughout the show. One wrestler said that roughly 400 fans attended the fan-fest held the day before the show. Wrestlers were surprised to see that some of the attendees travelled from various parts of the country to be at the show. In fact, one wrestler said he was surprised to know that the product is actually popular outside of Nashville, Tenn. and Orlando, Fla... Word on Vince Russo is that he won't return to TNA as long as Jeff Jarrett has booking power. He grew more and more frustrated over time with Jarrett's creative ideas and his inflexible process of executing them. Nothing special was done for Russo even though it was his last show with the company... A.J. Styles vs. Petey Williams at Victory Road was scheduled for 18 minutes originally, but had to be cut due to time constraints... Some wrestlers dismissed Best Damn Sports Show Period co-host Brian Cox as just another member of the show's stuck up crew, but others marveled at how well the former NFL linebacker did in the ring. Cox teamed with Monty Brown for a tag match and showed great charisma, according to some observers. He is a longtime fan of WWE and seemed genuinely happy to be wrestling, even if he wasn't familiar with the TNA product... For the final episode of TNA Impact before Victory Road, Jeff Hardy showed up the day of the Impact taping again, which is a day later than the company wants the wrestlers to arrive. Hardy had confided in some wrestlers that he's been disappointed by his TNA experience, as he expected the company to be run more professionally than it is. Of course, management would almost certainly make similar comments about Hardy... There were whispers backstage that the Naturals have fallen from grace as they did quick jobs for Monty Brown & Brian Cox and 3 Live Kru during the two-day taping session... TNA lost the television deal it was negotiating with Canada's TSN. The word in the locker room is that management blames agent Scott D'Amore for talking about the potential deal during a radio appearance. Management officials believe WWE found out about those negotiations via the radio show and did their best to stop it... The live crowd at the Nov. 2 Impact taping was large, but the company flopped on Wednesday for the Best Damn Sports Show taping. It was so bad that Best Damn producers actually wanted some of the wrestlers to go sit amongst the fans to make the building looking better on television. The producers wanted the wrestlers to sit far enough away from the ring that they wouldn't be noticeable on television. The wrestlers objected for obvious reasons... Dixie Carter made it known that she was disappointed by the energy the wrestlers showed for the Wednesday BDSSP taping. Some wrestlers admit that the energy level was down, but point out that they had to sit at the building from noon until seven and then worked for a small crowd... Dixie was also telling people that she thinks Victory Road will give the company a chance to prove that they have better talent than WWE. No, she wasn't just telling that to the wrestlers as a form of motivation, she's been saying it to office workers as well, so apparently she believes in what she's saying... Some wrestlers were grumbling that the company gave away better matches on the Best Damn specials than they are advertising for the pay-per-view. They were also pointing out that it conflicted with Jeff Jarrett and Dutch Mantel's feeling that the only way to build characters is to feature them in squash matches. The company's defense is that the shows will give them as much exposure as they've ever had, and they are hoping that the specials do well enough that Fox Sports Network will move them into a prime time slot. The other complaint is that the matches were too short, which may have been something the Best Damn executives requested... The Best Damn co-hosts took turns sitting in on commentary with Mike Tenay, Don West, and Jeff Hammond. A few people who listened to the audio noted that Hammond got lost in the shuffle and really didn't say much as the tapings went on... Jeff Hardy did a Swanton Drop off the top of the cage during his match with Jarrett. TNA officials did ask him if he would perform the move, but he confided in friends that he was hesitant to perform the stunt... Jerry Jarrett is taking heat from wrestlers who blame him for bringing in Lex Luger. While it's true that Jarrett did agree to let Luger come to the show, he also made it clear that there were no guarantees regarding work and that the main reason Luger was coming in was to show that he was clean. According to numerous observers, Luger appeared to be anything but clean during his first night backstage... Ryan Wilson worked as Mr. USA for Japan's Hustle promotion recently. He was paid $2,500 for the weekend appearance. Wilson is telling friends that promoters have since invited him to return for $7,500 for a tour...

I'll download this and see how TNA has progressed since I stopped watching somewhere around 5-6 months ago. TNA is fucking insane if they think I would pay $30 for it though, especially since the booking is going to be pure shit I'm guessing. The surprises are most likely going to be groans or blehs as well.

Rikishi. TNA can't resist ripping off the coconut angle that WWE did 20 years ago.

but I'll eat it anyway
