That's one hell of an agent you've got there, Spike... Meanwhile, I haven't had a title shot since early July... :: fires agent ::

Wild and Dangerous' stats are now viewable in WC's stat post. EDIT - and what's with Benson and Phantasmo each having a different name for their stable?

I actually did listen to H&TB; I had Cracked Rear View, but it was part of a CD collection that got stolen back when I was stationed in Italy. They're alright, but I don't know if they count as "rock" music. I always thought of them as being more "Top 40"-ish, not that there's anything wrong with that. Isn't de la Rocha Chicano, or something? Anyway, I think that most of their stuff is okay, but the only Rage song that I really like is "Darkness," from Crow soundrack. That whole soundtrack is decent, actually: as someone who doesn't listen to a lot of rock music, that's actually one of my favorite CDs, top to bottom, of any genre. -

I've listened to Hendrix. Can't say that I'm a big fan, but then, I'm not a big fan of any music from the seventies/early eighties, really. I didn't start listening to music to any significant degree until my first try at college, so my musical tastes are influenced by the music of that era (early nineties). -
And, if not, can it be fixed so that you can post more than one score? I could totally own the top ten in Tetris. No... the top 50. No... the top 100! NO.....

System Restore? Am I the only person here that doesn't try to get new shit right as it comes out? I mean, I take several calls a day from customers complaining about IE7 (which annoys me, seeing as how I work for Verizon and not Microsoft), and it occurs to me that I'd be better off waiting six months to a year for Gates to get most of the kinks out. The only thing I've ever been guilty of buying when it first comes out is Civilization, because I'm a Civ addict. Hell, I got Civ4 when it first came out, and my five year-old piece-of-ass HP isn't even sophisticated enough to run the fucking thing...

I hereby nominate "Praise," by Sevendust, as I've recently decided that I like this song. And I just find the concept of a brother as the frontman for a rock group to be too awesome for words. So, grant me this boon, and pick this song... It's not like we're ever going to do a show in the Bahamas, anyway... -

You're thinking too hard; vague stats are just a free pass to use creative license to your heart's content. Quit letting the stats handcuff you. -

As I mentioned to Raynor already, my internet connection at home is currently not on. Which means that I can only get online at work. Which, in turn, that I need matches turned in on time. I'll check here once at the end of my shift for anything that might have come in late... My shift tomorrow ends at midnight, eastern standard. Whoever doesn't have a match in my inbox by that time is getting marked as a no-show. -
I think it was King (may have been Taamo) who said something like that to me a few years back, and it's the best advice I've ever received as a writer: the ramp is exactly as long, the cage is exactly as wide, the ladder is exactly as high as it needs to be for your spot to work.

Calm down, have some dip... First, Toxxic's somewhat blunt tone notwithstanding, he does have a point; if you want to last long in this fed, you're going to have to learn to overcome the difficulty that comes when you have to write against an opponent's whose stats and moveset are a mismatch for your writing style. At the risk of sounding too terse myself, you're going to have to either adapt and overcome, or else get used to losing every time you're booked against them. Regarding the speed issue, you're making a mountain out of a molehill. In the first place, you seem to be confusing "high-speed" with "lucha suicida," and they're not necessarily the same thing. If you work a fast-paced style, you can probably be safely described as a "high-speed" wrestler; if you tend to go to the top rope more than once in a match on average, or if your style has you running to the ropes a lot, it's also probably safe to describe yourself as "high-speed." It doesn't mean that you're always doing corkscrew planchas and standing moonsaults and whatnot... Even if the only "high risk" maneuver in your moveset is a flying double-axe handle, you can probably be safely described as high-speed if you use it frequently enough. In the second place, 6 is a higher speed rating than you're giving it credit for. Especially since, at the moment, there are only three active characters with a higher speed rating (since I am not currently active). And, if you check the stats template, it seems to spell out pretty clearly that 6 is meant to be relatively high-speed. Or, at least, faster than average. The issue isn't really that SOL's stats suggest that she's not a high-speed wrestler so much as, judging by her stats, she's not as fast as your character. Perhaps you have a preconceived notion of "high speed" which is making you unable to reconcile with a character that's slower than your character being described as "fast." I've got to echo what these other guys have said: don't feel to confined by the stats. If you want to write a spot, and your opponent's stats don't specifically state that they don't do that (like WC, for example, who never does clotheslines, or Toxxic, who never kicks out of finishers), then just write it. If your match is better, you'll win. It's all about the writing; the stats are merely a guide. I wouldn't try to completely deviate and turn SOL into Annie Eclectic or something, but just try to write the best match possible, and don't worry so much about making sure that all the I's are dotted and all the T's are crossed. - Dub Cee

Perhaps his favorite television character is Wesley Crusher?

I'm not sure that I understand what your grievance is: a quick perusal of S.O.L's stats does not indicate anything in her moveset which her stats suggest she should not be physically capable of doing, so what is the beef, exactly? And could you possibly provide a more specific example?

Wow... you really don't read the shows; Storm hasn't been the "marquee" show for many moons.

I took my son to see it yesterday; I don't think that the theater was even a quarter full. Go figure. EDIT - It was interesting to actually hear the lyrics to that Teddy Bear song, though; aside from a ten-second clip in a commercial that used to come on when I was a teenager, I've never heard that song, ever.
