  1. Damn, and he was just starting to find his place in the NBA... Condolences to the Collier family; Yellow Jacket Nation mourns your loss.
  2. I won't eat anything with cabbage in it. I also hate all manner of organs (liver, heart, hog maws, "chit'lins," etc.)... In fact, I'm really not too fond of soul food in general; I keep waiting for someone to tell me that I have to give back my membership card...
  3. Source: IMDb.com The fuck? She can "assure" us? What'd she do, watch?
  4. "The Breaks," by Kurtis Blow.
  5. What the fuck kind of slide was that?
  6. Did the Rougeaus ever win a match with their finisher (Le Bombe de les Rougeaux) after turning heel in '88?
  7. The Phantom Phreak!
  8. Shawn Respert is my second cousin. Assuming a guy who washed out of the NBA after six less-than-mediocre years counts as "famous." He was the man in college, though.
  9. The first time I saw Sacramento's alternative jersey, I threw up in my mouth a little... Why don't the Maloofs move the team to Los Angeles, while they're at it?
  10. May just be an NBA rule, then. EDIT - And, on further review, my original interpretation of the rule was slightly off.
  11. Forfeit? Which team? Is there a such thing as a double-forfeit?
  12. What happens when both teams are ass out of players? For example, I know that, in basketball, if so many people foul out of the game that there would be less than five players remaining on one team, then either the last person to foul out is allowed to remain in the game, or one player who's already fouled out is allowed to come back in, and if that player incurs any further fouls, the opposing team gets two shots and the ball... What do they do in baseball when one/both teams run out of players?
  13. Why did he bat in the bottom of the 15th? Are the Astros out of "everyday" players?
  14. Rocket coming out of the pen?
  15. Chicks making out don't do anything for me... I might have to ask the dogs to put their cigars out, though...
  16. You liked that? That was the shittiest powerbomb I've seen in quite some time. It was more like a "drop bomb" than an actual powerbomb; he pretty much just picked the guy up, stepped back, and watched him fall.
  17. A ten-run blowout is the "best playoff game ever?"
  18. double post
  19. I dunno... ever been driven face-first into the ground, with part of another guy's body weight bearing into the back of your neck? Because that's what I thought the move looked like, and that would definitely hurt the hell out of me...
  20. Moves pretty well for a big man... I saw him for the first time on Friday night, and my very first thought was, "hrmm... I'd like to see him and Shelton Benjamin in a tag team; they'd be like a modern-day Hart Foundation, with Benjamin as a somewhat-lesser Hitman, and Lashley as a somewhat-greater Anvil." My second thought was, "of course, they'd need a mouthpiece. Too bad Teddy Long's busy."
  21. Since when does bow = firearms?
  22. Damn! Busters/Blonds could have easily been the final round! This is a hard choice for me, but I'll go with the Busters; as much as I enjoyed the Blonds, I always preferred Austin and Pillman as singles wrestlers. Tully and Arn may or may not have been as charismatic, but they told a story in the ring like few teams that I've ever seen. Harts/Warriors is a little easier for me to call; the Road Warriors were, perhaps, the greatest big man team of all time, but I always marked for the way that the Harts could go "AC/DC" on you, with Hart's wrestling, and Neidhart's power game. They had great tandem moves, and excellent chemistry. Plus, I used to mark out like a little kid to see Neidhart hit a dropkick after the hot tag. Sooo: Brainbusters Hart Foundation
  23. It goes without saying that 93 > 92 in the WWF, and perhaps "beginning to die" was an exaggeration, but there's no question in my mind that 88-89 was >>>> 93: Brainbusters Bulldogs Hart Foundation Rockers Rougeaus Demolition Powers of Pain That's not even counting the "main event" tag teams of the Mega Powers and the Twin Towers, not to mention probably a half-dozen other teams that got TV time.
