Absolutely. It would be a great front for developing a whole host of new strategic elements that could be implemented. While there is strategy present within both DW4 and Empires, it leaves a lot to be desired. In fact, the only really sneaky strategy I can think of for Empires is the 'cutting off' tatic that involves building a line of strongholds along the side of the battlefield and suddenly taking an enemy stronghold close to their main camp, thus slitting the throats of all their other establishments and sending their armies into panic mode. Zhou Yu becoming erratic and gradually losing his mind thanks to the brilliance of Zhuge Liang would also be a very entertaining addition. Historically, Zhou Yu admired Zhuge Liang and was quite in awe of the man. However, since it is based on the novel, it would work in just fine. I also dig the fact that Empires makes you use guys you don't usually. I've actually come to like Xiahou Yuan thanks to that game. I never, ever used him in DW4 because I thought he had the most painfully generic moveset. However, now the 'lock-on' is gone (thank Christ), he is much more versatile.

You do have body guards. If you have a look around, there will always be, somewhere, ten swordsmen following you around and fighting with you. However, like all body guards, they have trouble keeping up with some players/characters and they often wiped out accidentally by you, without you knowing, when you send other units flying and they crash into them. Items are bought/traded depending on the provinces you own. Food spawns within strongholds and is left by all defeated enemy officers (not sub-officers, they usually drop enhancers like the battle ax and defense armour etc.).

They really should extend the extra storylines for Dynasty Warriors 5, whenever it is released (if it is ever released), such as the death of Zhang Fei & Guan Yu. Liu Bei went APESHIT when this happend in history and blindly charged out several times with huge armies in an attempt to conquest Wu without listening to Zhuge Liang. Of course, he had his ass whipped and his entire army was humiliated. It would be a great 'hard mission' for Shu, putting you in a situation where you are completely outplayed and need to find a way out of it.

Even if he was quitting (i've seen the note and know what you mean) his death was still tragic. I'm not dismissing the tragic nature of his death. However, Cobain dying or not would have likely had the exact same impact on the music scene, as he was sick and tired of everything music-related.

I really, really cannot get over how many people in this series went on to bigger things. I even noticed Coop's mom from the OC in one of the episodes the other day.

It wasn't -iB-, unless this guy has taken the time to completely change his entire word bank and the way he communicates online. I've spoken to both of them on MSN, and I'm 99% sure that he sure as hell wasn't -iB-.

That's nothing compared to Empires. If you're wanting to follow history (thus gain access to 'hidden' levels, like Chi Bi) then you need to take down the Dong coalition after they have taken the Han capital. It is so early on in the game that your character isn't exactly prepared, not matter how much you use them early on, to take on Lu Bu. On top of that, the AI has a habit of throwing Diao Chan, Zhang Liao AND Lu Bu at you all at once. It's frustratingly difficult, and I've lost far more times than I've won there. Funnily enough, the only guy I can do it with is Xiahou Dun.

Honestly, I think you'll find few here that share a differing opinion to yours, Jason. Just about everyone here will admit that, while Shawn can put on a hell of a show when he wants to, he isn't half the wrestler of some of the true greats of professional wrestling (such as those listed in your original post). Many examples of Shawn 'carrying' someone, for example Sid Vicious, simply involved him doing what he does best - bumping his ass off and getting the shit kicked out of him really, really hard. His bout with Nash at IYH and with Sycho Sid at SSeries 96 are great examples of this. However, bumping does not equate to wrestling talent. UYI

It is very interesting to discover what is fact and what is fiction. For example, the three-way fight that went for hours between Zhang Fei, Guan Yu and Lu Bu never actually happend (more evidence the author had a boner for his Shu boys) and it was really Sun Jian who slayed Hua Zhong (forgive the spelling on that one, however I'm sure that's his name. He is the warrior that charges out of the gate at 'The Battle at Si Shui Gate'), not Guan Yu.

THAT would be awesome. I have a complete distaste for Liu Bei and his band of pussy men. He's espicially bad in Empires, as everything he does 'is for the people'. It just reeks of false political sentiment and makes me want to kill him more and more. Shu has it's perks though, such as Huang Zhong, Pang Tong and Wei Yan.
