Goro was never originally killed in the first tournament, he was just defeated. He ran away into seclusion out of the humiliation of suffering a loss to a human. Goro officially died during MK:Deadly Alliance, as outlined in Kitana's ending, I believe.

I still am quite fond of Mortal Kombat:Deadly Alliance, so it's the other way around for me. MKD seemed like there was a mass of extra content to make up for the fact that the fighting engine was half-assed. One could argue the same point about DA, however DA came first and showed a lot of promise to me for the future of the series. Deception's characters also seem to look worse than DA's do, that's just my personal opinion. My distaste means nothing though, as millions have gone out and bought it and the game has done big business.

My friend and I used to play this game on his PC when we were 9 years old. It scared the ever loving shit out of us. I downloaded it a few years back and was completely astounded how a game, which seemed so great at the time, was actually really terrible.

Eh, I'm surprised you're bothering with this one. I haven't played it on any other machine than the PS2, but it is pretty horrible. That could be due to the fact that I was so amped and excited for it when it was finally released, or it could be that it is really just a sub-par fighting game. Cubers don't have much variety with fighting games though, right? Shame you don't have Tekken 5 to look forward too.

Moonwalker rocks, don't ever say anything remotely bad about that game ever again. I also am one of few that really, really, really loved the Power Rangers fighting game for the Genesis. I was nine years old and a totally obsessed fan though.

One thing I've always wanted clarified... JJ Dillon said in his RF shoot interview that Russo was often pitching completely insane ideas that far surpassed the idiocy seen every week on Nitro. Dillon said that Russo once asked Jim Crockett how much it would take to bribe the fire marshall in the local area so that he could run an angle where a flaming-branding-iron weilding Terry Funk would literally burn down the arena.
