Anyone remember that Nitro, I think it was in 1999, leading up to (I think) Spring Stampede? It was held in Canada, and the main event was Hogan vs DDP in some no-holds barred brawl. It was really fucking awesome. UYI

The Giant vs Diamond Dallas Page was one of the featured bouts as well. It was surprisingly decent, thanks of course to DDP. Also the two openers: Juvi vs Rey vs Kidman and then Kidman vs Eddie G. (Eddie threw a spat when neither Juvi or Rey could beat Kidman, so Kidman challenged him to do any better...which he didn't ). Those two cruiser matches are just about two of the hottest, most exciting openers to a PPV I had seen at the time. Awesome stuff. The rest of the show was total donkey balls. UYI

why is X on here? two ***** matches and 6 *-** matches...the idea here is COMPLETNESS. He may have factored in how influential those two matches were when considering which shows were 'the best'. For me, it's: 1. Wrestlemania XX 2. Wrestlemania X-Seven 3. Royal Rumble 2000 4. One Night Only 5. Survivor Series 1996 (this show doesn't get the props it deserves) I was even considering WM13 for a split second there, as it featured the most influential match of the modern era, however the steaming piles of shit surrounding it bring it way the fuck down. Another problem I think was that the NWO didn't really affect anyone in the fed outside of Rock, Austin, and Flair. I mean remember how when the NWO first came out there was that when are they going to strike factor. They could attack anyone from Rey to Lugar to Larry Z, anyone. All the NWO did in WWF was mess with Flair, Rock and Austin and that's it. No one else in the fed really. Rey Mysterio; human dart will forever be tattooed in my mind as the funniest shit I've ever seen. You thought that was funny? Watching that live, I thought Rey's neck had just been broken. Agreed. The concept is unbelievably awesome, and as someone who has been reading huge crime novels etc. since I was a young kid, I found it to be really cool. However, once you get into the game and start actually trying to, you know, play the thing, you'll find the thinking process stopped at the concept. Don't waste your money. UYI

I had a look around while I was in the city today and found very little that could help my cause (CVS2), as well as digging around numerous local online video store sites and coming up short. Guess my next step is to import it. I'm a pretty avid KOF fan, so I'm sure if you and Ren dig either game for particular reasons, then it will be the same for me. UYI

Didn't Hogan *want* to be involved though? It was McMahon who declined. Hogan felt WMXX wouldn't be special without him, in one of the interviews I read about that took place only a few weeks before the big show. It must really irk him that last year's WM, one which he was the focal promotional point, doesn't even come close to this years show, which was headlined by Chris Benoit, Shawn Michaels & Triple H.
