My favorite songs of theirs are Halloween London Dungeon Green Hell Some Kinda Hate I Turned Into A Martian.

Of the ones listed I had to pick Paradise City. My actual favorite song of theirs is Rocket Queen. I think it's the real standout track off of Appetite because it does a very good job of showing the different directions their music goes in.

I wasn't sure if I should make a new topic, but here's some Danzig/Misfits news. http://www.roadrun.com/blabbermouth.net/ne...ewsitemID=24571

Sega seem to have made all the right moves up until this point. All that's left is playing the game. I'm pretty sure gameplay won't be a disappointment since I've been a fan since 2k. We just have to see if they've properly executed on all the extras that have been added.

I signed up for the Yahoo league with the team name Foreign Objects.

He played with the Misfits in 2001 without Danzig, so I guess it is pretty much 2 different bands. I don't think he appears on any albums or anything. Tracii has also toured playing with Motorhead I forgot to mention in there.

The Def Leppard story is different every time you hear it. It's hard to say what is actually true. The story that went out was that Viv Campbell had knocked down Danzig and he was bleeding. Danzig of course denied everything and Def Leppard didn't say much about it. I do remeber reading an interview with one of the guys in Def Leppard who finally told the story. He said that they were all in line for some food and Danzig was walking with some hot soup. Viv's wife was standing facing the opposite direction. Rather than asking her to move Danzig just yells something like "Get out of the way bitch" so Viv turns around and kicks him in the ass and he falls and drops his soup. The red stuff on the ground was soup and not blood and Danzig got up quickly freaking out before a ton of people ran in between them. That's actually a really funny story either way.

I hear Danzig ended up bleeding from the mouth and struggling to get up, but the crowd got in the way of the camera. I would've liked to see that.

If you look on IMDB there are a ton of people in this movie not listed in the first post. Some of the ones I've heard of are Todd Bridges, Tommy Chong, Dustin Diamond, Andy Dick, Snoop Dogg, Perry Farrell, Hanson, the Hilton sisters, Kato Kaelin, Tommy Lee, Jason Mewes, Jerry Springer, Carrot Top, and a lot more. The website for the movie also says it has Pam Anderson, Adam Sandler, Corey Feldman, Vince Vaughn, and a bunch of others. Apparently it's been done for a while and will be in small art house theaters sometime this summer then will be out on DVD later this year. I'll probably end up seeing this. http://paulyshoreisdead.com/ http://imdb.com/title/tt0284674/

I wonder if the idea for this movie began as an idea for his real life. The concept does sound funny, I don't know about the movie though.

Buckethead has been around since 1992 when he came out with his first solo CD "Bucketheadland" and also with the band Praxis on their CD "Transmutation" with the same image. He's been somewhat well known in the "underground" for years as somewhat of a virtuoso guitarist, he's just a lot weirder than the other ones. I'm sure Axl didn't pick him based on looking like Slash, because he doesn't resemble him that much. You never even see his face. Buckethead is also about a foot taller than slash once the bucket is on there.

The story of Guns N Roses formation is that Tracii Guns(ex-LA Guns, Misfits, Contraband, Poison, Johnny Thunders, etc. guitarist current Brides of Destruction guitarist) had his band LA Guns. Axl Rose came in and became the singer of LA Guns for a brief time before deciding that he wanted to have a band that was his own. He formed Hollywood Rose. Tracii and Axl both felt that they worked well together and when members left both bands around the same time they fit together pretty well. They compromised on the name combing LA Guns and Hollywood Rose to make Guns N' Roses. The band was Axl, Tracii, Izzy, and a guy named Rob Gardener on drums. After a little while they got Duff McKagan to play bass. They played on the strip in LA for a little while before Duff decided there were greater opportunities if they would go up north and play in Seattle. There had already been a good deal of tension at this point, and Tracii thought that staying playing the strip was a much better way to get signed since tons of bands were at the time. The rest of the band wanted to go to Seattle to check it out. Tracii still had LA Guns to fall back on so he decided to stay behind in LA and so did the drummer. Slash was a childhood friend of Tracii Guns and he and Steven had been playing in a band called Road Crew. The guys from Road Crew also helped GNR with setting up their equipment in the early days since Slash was a friend of Tracii's. He was at nearly all of their shows so he knew most of the songs already anyway, so he became the logical choice to fill in on guitar. Steven was also familiar with the songs and friends and bandmates with Slash, so he told them he could play drums. The initial plan was to steal Axl so he could sing in Road Crew, but they soon realized there was something special in GNR. The rest is history. GNR rarely mention Tracii's stay in the band, often pretending it didn't happen. Tracii doesn't really bring it up much either, but will deal with it when he is asked about it. Tracii claims to have co-written much of Appetite, but never got any royalties, which should have amounted to a ton of money by now, because he didn't think it was necessary to have a lawyer at that point. He's a good guy and doesn't complain about that really, sometimes he kind of seems disappointed that they never appreciated his contribution to the band though. Chinese Democracy is by the "VMA version", but lead guitarist Buckethead has since quit the band. The latest word is that his playing will be on the album. They had 2 lead guitarists, him and Robin Finck of Nine Inch Nails, plus a rhythm guitarist Richard Fortus, so it isn't clear if Buckethead will be replaced.

Management denying the rumor isn't really something that should be looked into too much. Obviously the band and the record label plan on announcing the date on their own at some point and that time has not yet happened. Management saying the date isnt set means that the date is not going to the public yet, not that it doesn't exist. I'm not saying it's definitely true, but it did come from somewhere.

I've seen people who go both ways on that issue on this board. I initially didn't think Axl's band would be any good, but I ended up seeing them for free on the 2002 tour in Pittsburgh because one of my friends who had tickets couldn't make it. I've heard that Pittsburgh was one of the better shows on the tour. Axl definitely turned me around there. He was hitting all the high notes in the all the songs, he had a lot of power in his voice, and the three new songs impressed me a lot. The band was very tight and played everything perfectly. A bunch of the songs they basically played Slash's solo, but they changed them up a bit on some of the songs nearer to the end and gave them their own feel. After hearing Velvet Revolver, I'm kind of surprised that given the choice of Axl or everyone else in the band I'd take Axl by far.

I noticed last night that they story they went with was that Slash and Steven formed the band then found Axl and Izzy in Hollywood Rose. That's not even close to being right. I don't mind them not telling the whole story with LA Guns+Hollywood Rose combining to Guns N Roses, but they could've at least not included a fake story. Tracii Guns said they had him come to New York on one of his days off from tour and interviewed him telling him they were focusing on the early days and that he would definitely be in it and they were going to use his interview. They didn't use any of his stuff, and never mentioned him except in the special thanks.

Check this out http://media.ebaumsworld.com/index.php?e=marioguitar.wmv He does a really good job with the sound effects. It's pretty cool as well, much shorter though.

That's pretty awesome. Does playing blindfolded even make a difference for good piano players though? Don't they just know without looking where the keys are after a little while?

I wonder where they got the November 2004 date from. I'm expecting either an official release date, like which week of November to expect it, to be announced by Axl very soon since he said he'd be coming out with the date in a few months about 3 months ago. Or if VH1 was just reporting an unofficial rumor I'd expect a statement from management about it. Either way there should be some official news fairly soon.

I'm in for whatever league comes up. I liked Yahoo last year, but I'll play this league as well.

Just aired. A lot of inaccuracies in there, but still a decent show. Good to see Guns on TV whenever. Very few mentions of Izzy, arguably the most important member of the band. Also, they announced Chinese Democracy for November 2004!

Clear Channel already did drop him altogether, that's what the whole thing is about. They only carried his show in 6 cities.

I almost had one of these just a few minutes ago. I was playing ESPN Football and I was in a tough game with me as the Steelers against the Vikings. I needed the win to stay a game up in my division in week 15. There was about 2:30 left and I led by 6. The Vikings drove to my 40 and faced a 4th and 8. They go for it of course. They toss a quick pass and try and run for the first down, and I make a tackle a good 2 yards in front of the first down line. A few other people in the room saw that it was clearly not a first down, but it gets ruled a first by the officials. I decide to challenege the spot of the ball. The replay clearly shows him coming down short at around the 34 with the first down being at the 32. The ref comes out and overturns the call, spotting it back at the 34 where it should have been. BUT for some reason they still get the first down. I was freaking out at that point. They drive slowly over the 32 yards left and finally score on a 4th down from the 5. I'm left with 41 seconds to try and take back the lead from down 1 point. Luckily I got a big return on the kick and ended up just making it into range for a last play 45 yard field goal to win it.

The review and talking to some other people led me to believe that it was horrible. I was pleasantly surprised. I'd give it something like a 7/10, it isn't horrible. I think people were expecting way too much from it. The main problem with the game is that overall it just plays slow. It needs to be more fast paced to compete in the genre. Has anyone else here decided to give it a shot?
