You're referring to Arena and the thin guy was Wil Wheaton of Star Trek TNG fame. They quit the show after coming to completely hate their producer. The absolute worst host was the English guy that came after them, who was then replaced by Kevin P. I also remember some ugly skank joining Pereira and Reherman towards the end. The female I absoutely miss the most (along with Diane Mizota) is that Ronilyn Reilly chick from Pulse.

I'll have something coming your way in a bit.

I hope no one is using Silver and James.

Oh. Kevin P. isn't that bad and COPS and Cheaters are awesome, they're just not 'good' if you catch my drift. I'm all for watching the dregs of our society act stupid, just not ten times a day, every day when it tires on you and it's obvious G4 is just being cheap and lazy by running it constantly. And Ninja Warrior. I like the Ninja Warrior.

Hell, they've wrestled each other enough times. Is that match four or five?? ECW is in desperate need of talent infusion. Punk and Stevie beating the shit out of each other sure was fun though. I thought they only fought each other once back when Punk came in and the last I saw of Stevie was him getting involved in something on behalf of Heyman's group. I've always liked Richards. He should be on TV a lot more in this type of role.

I liked both G4 and TechTV way back. For months after the merger I gave it all a fair shot since it was still entertaining for the most part. I was okay with them trying to out-edge the competition such as Adult Swim, which started fine enough, as well. Then two years later that somehow meant a total change to a generic, unfocused men's network which, I guess, means licensing cheap syndicated shows that guys may kinda, sorta like, with Arrested Development and Star Trek being the two good things out of that group. I can't even stand X-Play anymore and even if Tallarico is garbage, at least his shows were in the vein of the original direction of the network. Now with Cheat apparently gone I don't think they have a hand in more than three shows of their own with the rest being old syndications, which you would think would be illegal in some way. If it didn't have Comcast behind it such a low rate network wouldn't even exist anymore and I don't get how there can be such a difference between the US version and the much better G4TechTV Canada.

True. For rarer and independent music, as well as stuff that can't be found on torrent sites anymore for whatever reason, it's very good. The folder download option is a godsend too. The only knock I have against it is the lack of multi-source. Which is why for more popular music guaranteed to have more peers, I still refer back to Shareaza. Also, Shareaza uses the Gnutella2 network as well as Limewire's (among many other clients') Gnutella. So unless you have problems connecting to G1 through Shareaza it's kind of pointless to have both.

I thought it WAS Bischoff at first.

Thread for those over the age of 25.
Golgo 13 replied to Giuseppe Zangara's topic in No Holds Barred
I'm 26. If I'm feeling as despondent about this period as I am now I don't even want to imagine myself in my 30s. Especially if my already noticeable aging and hair thinning continues at this rate. God. If, in my late-30s/early-40s, I'm not messily divorced, starting my mid-life crisis and setting myself up for an early heart attack it'll be a miracle. -
On Jericho. He's still better than 75% of the roster when dogging it, so hell yes I want him back, if for nothing else than for a fresh change of pace since apart from Edge winning the belt, shit ain't happening. Jericho back would be good for at least three months of TV no matter the brand and you would think after being out he would be more motivated anyway. Granted if he comes in as a face (especially after going out like a bitch) my enthusiasm drops a bunch.

Soulseek for music, Shareaza for everything else, but yeah, torrents as an absolute first option.

... It's a fighting game tournament. It doesn't seem like anything has really been left out, pretty much any game that's considered worthwhile is here with the exception of something from the King of Fighters line, but I guess that's where Capcom vs SNK 1 and 2 come in. What do you want, Super Smash Brothers? Mortal Kombat? Those seem to be the only two 'notable' games missing otherwise. And banning certain characters only evens the playing field. It would be really unfair and elitist if great players who knew every trick and manipulation of every massively overpowered character were allowed to use them to kill everyone else.

Apple juice.

Though I'm a proponent of not cluttering up the index.

That goes without saying. It's been nearly a year since anything has been posted there. It would be easy enough to set up an applet at chat.thesmartmarks.com or something. If it were integrated into the site rather than someone being forced to have an IRC client to connect they would probably be more likely to visit too.

Just on AIM whenver the fancy strikes I think. There have been a few attempts at an IRC channel that either didn't take or were forgotten about. It wouldn't hurt to give it another go either on-site or through IRC.

How to convert your Showbiz Pizza into a Chuck E. Cheese
Golgo 13 replied to spman's topic in Food Folder
People I've talked with always think it was Chuck E. Cheese that bought out Showtime when it was actually the other way around with Showtime buying them and all those other places out. Eventually it was decided to brand all of them as Chuck E. Cheese in order to appeal to younger kids and save money since Showtime's characters were all licensed. Since Billy Bob was one of Showtime's mascots I think they were just another arm of them also. -
This is apparently serious business. I'm sorry.

Nintendo and Ness. Sness. For Playstation I use the full name and for the PS2 I use initials.

Yeah. That's not entirely accurate. Soccer is first, something like rugby second, but basketball has to be top five due to the proliferation of foreign players and the growth of their countries' programs as a result. The only place it's not that popular is Western Europe, in particular the UK, much like how the only place soccer isn't popular is the US. Meanwhile baseball is likely only second to soccer in Central and South America. I'll give you American football. The thing is soccer is so dominating that everything else is small in comparison. But the US doesn't care about hockey either despite the owners taking it from where it belongs and trying to move into the southern half of the country. I and everyone else blame Gary Bettman. Though it still has Russia, Eastern Europe and Scandinavia. Now, soccer. I really don't get it. It's fun to play, but just so boring to watch.

It's not always exact and there are multiple groups of these things. Apparently what invaded a few years ago were broods IX and X. Thankfully we don't have to deal with this. Enjoy your chirping cicada swarms.

I use Ultra Tag Editor sometimes. It's clunky and overblown for what I usually need though. I often use it when I need to mess with whole artist directories. MP3 Tag Tools would be perfect if it had CDDB look-up but as just a straight tag editor it's great and simple, really good for manual tagging. Often when I need to look up shit I use an old Quintessential Player install. It's kinda ugly and slightly buggy on occasion but just for quick converting and tag look-ups it's good. Most programs use one of a few databases for CDDB anyway. The two most prominent I've seen are Gracenote CDDB and feedb. I think MusicMatch uses its own proprietary thing. For ripping shit with look-up I just use the dB PowerAmp Power Pack. It's all I need as far as that goes With the way they've whored out and bloated WinAmp I'm surprised they haven't thrown in CDDB look-up for editing. I really wish they would since I have it on all the time anyway.

It has to be adminbot. I think.
