The "details" of a murder suicide at that time were only speculatory though, weren't they? Investigators only said they were treating the case this way, but it hadn't been officially confirmed that that's what'd happened.
-
Lots of other folks close to the Benoit's have said that they didn't even notice it either... Especially since the kid was only 7.
-
I remember all of his powerbombs looking just awful - those ones where he'd make it way too obvious that he's protecting the guy.
-
I really wish that I hadn't google image searched that name now. *shudder*

It'll take a long time for them to gut every Benoit picture, and mention of him from that website. Look at every PPV he's wrestled at over the last year...plus then you have him in various videos even if it's not explicitly mentioned. Yeah, he's in the Eddy tribute video a bunch of times. There are also still tons of photos and mentions of him on the past PPV history pages, etc.

I wonder how long it will be before they change the banner on Eddy's HOF page? http://www.wwe.com/superstars/halloffame/eddieguerrero/

a] Jericho was awesome on Nancy Grace, bravo to him. b] garyfloyd needs to shut the fuck up. You're an idiot for inferring that because someone doesn't know who Nancy Grace is then they're a loser? Try looking in the mirror. c] The chick with the glasses and big teeth on Nancy Grace is some kind of law expert. I can't stand any of her regular "panel" of douchebags. d] I second the whole thing with adding guys like Yokozuna and Joey Marella to those lists. What about Andre the Giant? His death was of natural causes because of his gigantism condition, wasn't it?

This isn't surprising considering that Marc Mero is a wrestler and Dave Meltzer just writes about it.
-
Damn I hope this makes it to youtube soon. I've been waiting to see someone do that forever.
-
Damn I'd like to see that. I'm stuck at work though. Anyone care to transcribe or point form it when it's done?

He’s one of the greatest technical wrestlers alive. Family and friends have always described him as “quiet” and “soft-spoken,” Think they'd remove that. This one's pretty interesting, especially if you think of it in context to the trashcan of 10 empty beer cans and bottle of wine they found... He recalls celebrating in the ring with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin almost more than his unlikely win at the 2004 Royal Rumble. (“For the first time in my life,” he admits, “I actually drank a whole beer.”) I also have to say that the photo is one of the worst I've seen of him. Makes him look really old (more than 40) and grizzled.

And WWE.com's "maintainer's" continue to prove why they're a bunch of colossal boobs. All of the Benoit stuff is down, except this: http://www.wwe.com/shows/ecw/superstars/chrisbenoit/bio/

I loved the movie. I'd never read the story, but I loved this flick. Not as scary as everyone's been saying - but I think I'm a little desensitized to that kind of thing after seeing the Shining so many times over the years. Definitely a keeper though. This will be making it's way to my DVD shelf one day.

Nonsensical question.. maybe. I always wondered.. you get movies like Batman Begins and Superman Returns and it's obvious that it's the actor who is playing the role in the costume.. but I've always wondered... when you've got Spider-Man in mask on the screen, is that actually Toby McGuire underneath? Will it actually be Downey Jr. in the Iron Man outfit? Or do they normally use stunt guys for stuff like that?

Really.. all these opinions of why the game sucked so bad are based on the first in a series. For a game to get it 100% perfect and please everyone on it's first iteration is really rare. I'll give you the AI, sure. But harping on not having enough things to hide behind, the style of stealth and killing, and the lighting and look of the levels I just can't give you. Especially when you admit you didn't even play through the entire game. If you didn't play through the game then you're only basing these opinions on the first few levels? The levels get drastically different. Yes, they're all pretty dark, but they're not all linear and exactly the same. A lot of this stuff I could see as minor points in a review of how to make the sequel a little better - but these things aren't making it this horrible shitfest of a game you're making it out to be. Like I said before, I'm not a fan of the stealth genre aside from that one Tenchu game. I don't like Splinter Cell or Hitman or any of those games but I loved Manhunt because it was dark, twisted and a really fun "pick up and play" style of game.

It's now forever drilled into my brain that "Astin's offices were located in Carrollton, Georgia -- a small college town about 50 miles from Benoit's home." *nods*

Looks like WWE.com has removed all coverage of the case from their site, including the detailed timelines, etc.
-
So, then you created an account to unleash this gem on us? You could've at least had the right name for the kid. Idiot.

That was such an awesome moment. I still have that Raw on tape somewhere...
-
I'm just watching the Nancy Grace thing now. I can't believe she says "being demoted to RAW" from being a Four Horseman. Like wow. Who filled her in on that one? Does she even realize that we're talking about two different companies at the time? Probably not. What a tool, either way.

I hope His wife and Dominik are sleeping with one eye open That goes double for Mrs. Angle Who would have thought the Smackdown Six would have ended up like this. Eddy - Dead Benoit - Murder/Suicide Edge - Adultery (though it pretty much lead to him winning the title, go figure) Angle - Possibly crazy, left company Rey - ??? Chavo - ??? Wierd isn't it? Such a great group of performers and now in shambles. Reminds me of how the Hart Foundation group turned out...

All I've been able to find is this on http://ajpw.puroresufan.com/ Mind you, I think that took place on Monday so who knows if the news was over there as to how it all went down or not. Either way I don't see anything on Strong Style Spirit or on any of the official company sites.

Yeah, and in Benoit's case, he's also leaving behind a lot of friends and family - including his other children. Hell, everyone who's ever watched him - as shown in this thread - is having a hard time allowing themselves to have memories of Benoit without the overshadowing and painful visions of the way his life ended. Suicide is an extremely self-centered and selfish act which will hurt and emotionally scar the people you leave behind.
-
Suicide isn't selfish. Killing everyone around you because of your own issues is selfish. Suicide itself just means that you couldn't cope with an aspect of life on some level, ie , you're just very mentally distraught. If anything, people who think this way are selfish, since everyone should be able to determine.make their own decisions about their own life/body in the end. Chris stepped over the line only b/c A) He killed two people, and B) Suicide, since he had sons still living. Suicide is selfish. Selfish if you're killing just yourself - depriving those who love you of your presence in their lives and taking the cowards way out - the "easy" way out. In Benoit's case it's selfish because he couldn't own up to the crimes he committed and took the easy way out. To me that's as selfish as you can get.
