  1. Barring all of the gripes about the CAW - is the gameplay relatively similar to 2006? I would be persuaded to pick it up for $20 or less if I saw it, but like Geedorah said pretty much only for Hennig. But if the gameplay is absolutely atrocious (keeping in mind that I actually enjoyed the gameplay from HCTP and 2006) and a huge step down then I wouldn't bother. And while we're on the subject of the Create a Title.. can we fucking revamp that thing already? A] I shouldn't be forced to pick a centre icon. I should just be able to use the centre plate with nothing on it.. but no, they have this big fucking blank square in the middle. Who designed this?! And really.. when the hell am I going to use an icon of a butterfly? Or a rainbow? Or an Egyptian coffin? Or a pair of fucking lips?! Ugh...
  2. I honestly have to wonder if Joe would jump ship to WWE. I mean, he looks huge in TNA alongside other X guys and even Angle.. but I have to think that he'd just receive the Taz treatment upon entrance into WWE. Sure, he's not as small as Taz is/was, but he's sure as hell not as big as some of the other monsters in WWE right now. Also, he's Samoan, so he'd probably be introduced as Umaga's cousin who eats raw fish before his matches or something stupid like that.
  3. Why would LAX suddenly back down and leave the ring for 3D? Sorry, but this tag team scene is a joke. Sure you've got great teams like LAX, MCMG, XXX, etc.. but the spotlight is being put on chumps like Team 3D, the Steiners and VKM - three very stale and outdated tag teams that need to just fuck off to the indies or retirement. Also, Angle's fake "IWGP" can be on the line all they want it to. It's a fake title. I just hope New Japan sues the shit out of someone (Antonio Inoki, I'm looking at you) for constantly using their name to promote it.
  4. Same here. I bought HCTP. Skipped the first SDvRaw. Picked up 2006. Skipped 2007. I was really disappointed that 2007 was apparently so bad (I've never played it) because Mr. Fucking Perfect was in it... I was hoping it'd be on the same level as 2006 at least to warrant a purchase.
  5. Or, even worse.. "Sycho Sid"
  6. Yes, because steroids (or other drugs) are the only thing that can make you go out of your mind... i know, guess the more the think about it, its possible he may have been on something say too much anti depressants and it may have already went through his system by the time they did the blood work I'm also saying that even though he MAY have been on something, it's pretty fucking obvious that dude was fucked in the head regardless of substances to do what he did during the time period in which it happened.
  7. Isn't Captivity just another Saw-like movie? At least from the trailer I saw, it was. I'll pass on that, thanks.
  8. Yes, because steroids (or other drugs) are the only thing that can make you go out of your mind...
  9. I would love it if the media found this out and got the Masters/HHH clip. Quick, someone email the producers of Nancy Grace...
  10. I haven't used a CAW regularly in a WWE game since the days of N64. I find the latest generation of CAW to be way too involved and rarely, if ever, create more than 2 or 3 wrestlers. So, I could definitely do without it in the next iteration of SDvsRaw. Now, Firepro.. I use that Edit mode all the time.
  11. Wow. Already? Are they trying to cash in or is there some NFP that will be getting the funds from this?
  12. There seems to be a stigma that a huge majority of the current WWE fanbase are new fans from the past couple of years - I kinda find that hard to believe. I'm guessing that a huge majority of them are either lifelong fans or those from the mid/late 90's who stuck around - so obviously they're going to remember who Sid is. Hell if they remember who Tatanka is then they'll remember Sid. I wonder if he does come back if they'll let him use the Sid Vicious name since there's really no other company around anymore to associate that past "WCW" history with?
  13. This is what he gets for sucking so much since the black album.
  14. I'm just getting around to watching the latest Nancy Grace clips w/Finlay, etc. on YouTube. In the first part does she say that it's Johnny Grunge's wife and Nancy Benoit in footage at ringside, when it's clearly Liz and Nancy? Man, these hosts are unreal...
  15. I can't even fathom how VH expects what is pretty much the biggest event to hit the wrestling world to just go away within two weeks... unreal.
  16. According to WWE, WHO? They had no recollection of this individual. Remember, it's up to us. Bigfoot is a crucial part of the ecosystem if he exists. So let's all help keep Bigfoot possibly alive for future generations to enjoy unless he doesn't exist.
  17. So what didn't you get about the first god knows how many times we told you that if you don't like it, then fuck off and don't come into the thread?!
  18. Does anyone else remember those vampire themed popsicles? They were shaped more like creamsicles, though. The outside was purple popsicle and inside was red slightly sweeter and more liquid "blood" popsicle?
  19. Misleading... he's been talking about the business as a whole. I'm not some big Mero supporter or whatever, but if someone can show me where he specifically singles out only the WWE, I'd like to see it. If it did happen then I must've missed it. But otherwise, every clip on YouTube that I've seen has him talking about the business as a whole and he only mentions Vince/WWE because they're on a big enough stage to institute some sort of change.
  20. i know what your saying, but we have seen his list enough times, its beaten into our heads everytime he appears on TV Maybe it needs to be beaten into some people's heads because obviously it's not getting through. Let me also point out that he's had two lists. The first one was personal to him - 25 wrestlers he's been in the ring with who are dead now. The newer list that's more populated is of all the wrestler casualties over the past while.
  21. But he's acting as if they all died from steroid usage, which just ain't the case. No he's not. The media is. He's bringing this list out because there is a PROBLEM in Pro Wrestling regardless of steroids. He hasn't once said that the list is of steriod only deaths.
  22. First, both Blackman and Mero were active wrestlers upto the early/mid-2000's. That's not exactly "over 10 years." Second, I'm really finding it hard to believe that just because the last time that these guys wrestled - that because it wasn't with the WWE, that their opinions are irrelevant. That's just ridiculous. It's like saying that former NHL players can't comment on the sport as a whole just because they don't play with the NHL anymore. Third, I also cannot believe that people can't understand the simple point that Mero isn't just talking about WWE. He's talking about all of wrestling. The reason he keeps bringing up Vince McMahon, again, is because Vince owns the "biggest show" in town and he has the platform to make a change for the betterment of all wrestlers regardless of where they work. Why is this such a hard concept to understand - is anyone actually listening to the dialogue when they watch all of these YouTube clips? Not once does Mero blame WWE - he constantly says there is a problem in "professional wrestling." Watch the end of that video that Celtic Jobber posted with Mero. It's the show hosts that normally spin this into an attack on WWE. But yet he's "pushing his own agenda" and "last 15 minutes of fame" - bullshit. These guys are asked to be on the show. Abrams even says they're constantly calling WWE guys, but to no avail. I really doubt Mero and Blackman are loitering the studios of these shows just itching to get on TV again. If we're talking about agendas, how about we look at guys like Demott, Brian Lawler, Ted DiBiase?
  23. I don't normally start these things, let alone two days ahead of time, but I really wanted to gauge how many people plan on ordering this PPV. I'm really debating it. I've never bought a TNA PPV so far but this line-up (aside from the mix-tag) looks pretty good - so it might be a first. Thoughts?
  24. I'd like to see him as a heel. Grow some facial hair. Give him a "talker" manager (someone in the vein of Heyman when he was leading around Lesnar).
