Really? This is wierd. Usually I'm the overly critical type for bands like this.. I guess it's because I was at a live show and they just had a good energy about them. Or maybe I'm broken? Too much Guinness? Nah, can't be that!

I just put in an order through Amazon for Resident Evil 4 Wii and Manhunt 2. Trauma Center and Bust a Move are all well and good but I need me some good old fashioned zombie killing and insane asylum executions. Seriously though, the new RE game slated for Hallowe'en looks awesome as well.

The Cramps are great, but there's nothing wrong with trying out new bands that were influenced by them.

I picked up their EP when I was in Tokyo back in November. Then about a few months later it came out over here. Just went to their show here in Toronto last night and thought they were really good live. They really remind me of the Cramps, which is a good thing. Anyone else?

I hated this band when my girlfriend started listening to them, but I am so glad that I decided to give them another go several months ago and they really grew on me - especially Turn on the Bright Lights. Haven't heard any of the new stuff, but I'm psyched for it, that's for sure.

Yep! The album is Absolution. Highly recommended!! It's pretty cool that this particular track has been getting a lot of play in trailers lately. Unleashed/Danny the Dog (w/Jet Li), 28 Weeks Later and now this!

So what make is the best deal on an SD memory card? Also - has there been any word on whether Manhunt 2 will have an online mode (or a versus mode with 2P)? I'd check now but gaming sites are blocked from my work.

I think it looks great and not ordinary at all - whatever that is meant to mean. They've also got the vampires looking just how Ben Templesmith drew them in the comics. Good shit! Also, use of Muse in the trailer get's a huge thumbs up.

Just wanted to chime in that Omega Man isn't the original movie, either. 1964's Last Man On Earth with Vincent Price is, IMO, the best telling of the tale... Comments on the new movie? I'll give it a chance. I'm not waiting with baited breath for it's release - I'm also not keen on any of the names attached to it - but it could pull something out of nowhere and surprise me. I mean, what we're getting now is far better than the original "Will Smith & Johnny Depp buddy movie" that this was rumored to be many months ago...

Might be getting my hands on a Wii (via a friends brother who works at Rogers Video) as early as next week. Cross yer fingas for me.

I posted the release date along with the fact that the show would be on HD DVD a while back, but that's the first I've seen of the box art. It's basic, but works. Yeah, I like that they just went with the eclipse instead of the usual montage of characters. Works for me!

I haven't seen any of season 3 yet - waiting for the dvds - but if I was wondering if that spin off series about Caprica was going through or not?

How many books are in that series? Is it worth reading? I know it's a bit off-topic, but a few friends and family members have consistently recommended that I read the series even though I'm not a King fan. I think there are 7 books and it is definately worth reading. I'm not a huge King fan either, but it's a masterpiece. More off-topicness, but what the hell.. Apparently Gennedy Tartakovsky is trying to pitch an animated series based on the Dark Tower to HBO.

I'll probably pick this up on DVD as I can rarely find time to watch these series' when they actually air. The animation style is alright for computer generated stuff, but I do prefer the Tartakovsky-driven original series.

I dunno - their press release says that it will include the features that the LG one does not have including HDi (the application software used to play the special features). We'll have to wait and see I guess, and I'm cool with waiting. I can still use my PS2 as a regular DVD player if/when my current player spins out of control into a nearby ditch.

Apparently Samsung has a dual format player that will support all features of both disc formats slated to be released this X-Mas. Crossing my fingers.
