Substandard poster = substandard replies. Wow.

Yeah dude, I bought it yesterday here in Toronto (EB Games in the Eaton Centre) and it was only $59.
-
Which is why they gave you the option to turn it off.

How about.. no.

Awesome game so far. I've had a few great exhibition matches and GM Mode is just spectacular. For anyone wondering, you CAN have title matches in GM Mode, it just doesn't tell you how. When you're on a match summary in the booking screen, just press left or right and the title name will appear above the wrestler's names. Keep pressing to cycle through different titles. My ONLY complaint so far is with the camera. It zooms in too far when two wrestlers are close together. I wish you could switch the camera angle to be facing the entrance like HCTP. And in Elimination Chamber matches it almost zooms out to far so that the cage is solid and it's hard to follow the action inside the ring. =\

There's a contract, I believe. So it's not like they're holding the belts "hostage" as stated before.

Definitely not Arn Anderson's son.
-
Me too! I'm going to check Limewire when I get home this evening.

Who's his father? And Yukes didn't buy New Japan, they purchased the controlling stock (51%). They have no say in matches, booking, etc.

What, if any, music did he use during his debut? Was it a generic version of his WWE theme?

Did anyone go to see Derailed? Clive Owen constantly impresses me. The guy is like the new Cary Grant - women love him, and guys can respect him because he can kick some ass. I also thought that RZA did a really good job with his character as well. I couldn't help but laugh at Xzibit, though. I'm too used to him being the Pimp My Ride guy...

From www.puroresufan.com: "Entertainment giant, Yuke's, today announced the purchase of Antonio Inoki's 27,800 shares, giving them controlling interest in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (51.5%). They are one of the most powerful media companies in Japan and are behind the Toukon DVD range and many famous New Japan video games, and their takeover of New Japan will have major ramifications. Antonio Inoki, who has forced many controversial decisions that many believe have held back New Japan in recent years, now has no power in the company, although may stick around as a presence, as New Japan announced his participation on the 12/6 "TOUKON FESTIVAL" today. The major restructuring in New Japan continues - new president, new matchmaker, new controlling company." "Simon Inoki and President Taniguchi of Yukes held a press conference this afternoon at the Tokyo Dome Hotel to announce the sale. Taniguchi said this was in no way a hostile takeover, and in fact their purchase will end New Japan's financial crisis, which has happened due to sloppy management and become very serious in recent times. Taniguchi said Yukes has aimed for a long time (with their Toukon Retsuden series among other things, such as WWE titles) to enhance the pro wrestling industry through games, DVDs, and other products, and now it wants to lend its power to the Japanese industry leader, New Japan. Taniguchi said, "We are offering relief to the greatest professional wrestling organization in Japan, and will back New Japan in any way possible." Simon said that Yukes would have no influence on matchmaking, and that the company will still be run by he and Choshu, that TV Asahi would continue to support New Japan, and that the globalization attempt will continue." "(Update: Very interesting comment from this whole situation. Yuke's purchase allowed New Japan to prevent being taken over by "a certain company" that would have presumably been bad for New Japan judging by how it was worded... could it have been WWE, DSE, or FEG?)" ---------- As for the last paragraph, I have no idea what DSE or FEG are...

I doubt they'll get shit for it if it only happens under specific circumstances. Plus it has nothing to do with his real, and very unfortunate, death.

Seriously, Banky. If you want to be an asshole, go hijack a thread in HD. This is about Eddy, we don't need your bullshit in here.

I'm also hearing word that the glitch isn't in the US version. Some comments on the IGN board, plus actual videos at IGN make me lean toward believing this. Or at least hoping it's true.

Easily one of my most favourite finishes to a match, ever. Also the first PPV I ever ordered instead of waiting for a video to come out.
-
Hey, I might buy it if I knew who the fuck Terrell Owens was.

As a supporter of the CPC, I have to say that Stephen Harper isn't doing us any favours. He needs to lose the next election so that we can be done with him and finally have a real leader who isn't some wierdo alien robot.

Visit Gamingring.com. They have answers to all sorts of questions like that. Ideally, from what I've heard, there are challenges to beat in order to unlock stuff like that. Ie: win a battle royal with only legends, or something, etc.
-
Fuck me for not getting any channel that is carrying this!! I hope there's a DVD release.
-
I think they also use him in Season Mode, as the "Legend Tour" booker or something like that. I think.

I've heard some wierd reports (via gaming ring forums) of a glitch that when irish whipping wrestlers into the ropes/corner that they don't run, they just glide across the ring. I hope this is fixed for the NTSC version...

DiBiase will be my first, and then probably Austin & Hollywood. Any order after that will be random, no doubt.
