I'm familiar with the Lemonheads. Back when I was in high school and getting into "indie" music, I hated them simply for Evan Dando's pompous assholery in interviews. I hated the Smiths for the longest time, too, for Morrissey's schtick. I know better, now.

I remember getting Oh, Inverted World back when it came out. For a couple of years, I was pretty sure that one line in "New Slang" was "like the king of the assholes." It wasn't until a year ago that I bothered checking the lyrics, which shown I'd been wrong. I don't care, though. Still a great song. Didn't change my life like it did for Natalie Portman's character, but man, whatta song.

I just watched Garden State with my female housemate. It was pretty good, though a little touchy-feely at the end. Of course, because of that movie, I'm listening to the Shins right now. And I'm drunk.

I don't much care for the Clash outside of London Calling, which I love. The Sex Pistols, while undeniably important in music history, were mostly awful, though "Bodies" and "Anarchy in the U.K." were kinda fun.

Oh, for the record, said roommate no longer takes Zoloft. Last night, he mentioned possibly selling them.
